I communicate with hundreds of people in and out of my organization with the tools available, so I can’t imagine living without it now. Pros Google workspace has been amazing. I like most the ability to get my communications well organized. At my previous company, we used a popular but archaic system that was clunky and buggy, but Google Workspace stands far above in comparison. Cons There’s nothing negative I have to say about Google Workspace. It helps me stay organized in a fast paced tech sales remote environment better than other tools I’ve used in the past. I almost completely refuse to use anything other than Workspace (Not ignorant to Microsoft but their system sucks) Pros Allows companies to have streamlined communication with professionalism. Built for companies that want easy brand recognition and crystal clear services. Cons Upfront cost, but it is worth the investment. The more that you lean into Workspace, the more you get out of it. The inability to easily create shared inboxes you can send from is irritating. And that Google Docs/Slides/Sheets can't be accessed from desktop easily. It is also easy for users to manage on their own (eg, password resets, adding to multiple devices). File sharing works well enough and is cost-effective. There is good cross-platform integration for file sharing. There is, however, a significant lack of customization and a lack of a dedicated mail applications. I'm still giving it four stars because... I like it much better than the competition! But this says more about the lack of great mail clients than it does about Gmail being great. Pros Google workspace is very easy to deploy to account users. Most are familiar with the platform, and it's a no stress integration. Cons I do not like the lack of native desktop apps for email. Yes - you CAN add Gmail to almost any mail client, but you lose lots of fuctionality (with tagging and folders). I also wish there was a way to change the default Primary/Promotions/Updates tabs to make them more custom. All do their intended job very well, allow for file sharing, client management, and cloud storage. The value for money is great because it is free. There weren't many bugs and issues I came across but when I did customer support was very helpful. Cons There would be occasional time when Docs, Slides, and Sheets had less features than the ones I was looking for in their Microsoft counterparts. I suppose this is the tradeoff with it being free. Pros As a Non-Profit Google provides a great workspace for internal teams working together at a very affordable price with very generous discounts. The file sharing, cloud storage, and email management are critical to our company. Cons There are a lot of restrictions in the Admin portal and securely sharing documents with external people. It's been an integral part of my tech stack since starting my business over 2 years ago. Pros The wide variety of products that integrate seamlessly with each other. I also really love that Google App Script is part of Google Workspace because it increases their functionality exponentially and is an easy coding environment to set up and have running in the background when certain criteria are met. Cons Because there are a lot of products and features of those products, sometimes I'm not aware of how best to use a certain product or even that a specific feature exists. It would be nice if there was more prompting from Google via email to be like "hey, here's this feature and this is the documentation on how to use it / a real use case." They do this sometimes but it always feels overwhelming because they're too broad with it and introduce a few features from a few different applications at the one time.
