It's been very rare that I've needed the extra help of a support person. I've found most things easy to accomplish with a bit of research. Pros I found it super easy to set up my domain. I was able to import my exiting mail from my old IMAP account very easily. The documentation is generally decent. Cons Getting support from Google for any of their products is a struggle. Even with decent documentation, the solutions are not always there. Every once and a great while support is needed and it's frustrating. We can share docs through the drive and keep everything organized. We also use it for virtual meetings. There are a lot of great features. Pros Price is great. Able to use my company name as the domain name and add new emails and remove emails as needed. It is very convenient. Cons Customer Service. You can never get in touch with a real person and I have had the same issue for almost a year now that has not be resolved. They have charged us for a temporary account for months until I disputed the charges. We are unable to update this online and it shows that it is not active so I am not sure why they continue to try to charge us for this. With the small amount of storage that we actually need, what's provided is fantastic. Being able to share files from wherever we are makes things so much smoother. Was als einfacher Test eines Dienstes begann, entwickelte sich schnell zu einer frustrierenden und nervenaufreibenden Angelegenheit, die mich dazu brachte, meine gesamte Nutzung von Google-Diensten zu überdenken. Der Versuch mit Google Workspace Vor einigen Monaten entschied ich mich, Google Workspace auszuprobieren, um meine Arbeitsprozesse zu optimieren. Da der Dienst jedoch nicht meinen Erwartungen entsprach, kündigte ich das Konto kurz nach der Anmeldung wieder. Ich war überzeugt, dass die Kündigung erfolgreich war, und nutzte den Dienst danach nicht mehr. Zu meiner Überraschung versuchte Google jedoch Wochen später, einen Betrag von 48,60 € von meinem Konto abzubuchen – für einen Dienst, den ich nie genutzt hatte. Da ich mein Konto nur für Rechnungen auflade und keine automatischen Abbuchungen zulasse, war keine ausreichende Deckung vorhanden, und die Abbuchung scheiterte. Was folgte, war eine Flut von Abbuchungsversuchen – sage und schreibe zehn Mal innerhalb von nur drei Tagen! Diese Hartnäckigkeit empfand ich als äußerst bedrängend und fast schon belästigend. Der vergebliche Versuch, den Support zu erreichen Mein nächster Schritt war, Kontakt mit Google aufzunehmen, um die Angelegenheit zu klären. Doch hier begann das eigentliche Problem: Es scheint unmöglich, einen direkten Ansprechpartner bei Google zu erreichen. Weder per E-Mail noch telefonisch konnte ich jemanden kontaktieren. Selbst die Aufforderung, mich als Administrator in meinem Google Workspace-Konto anzumelden, führte ins Leere, da das Konto längst gelöscht war. Ich fühlte mich völlig hilflos und ausgeliefert. Enttäuschung über Google als Unternehmen Als langjähriger Nutzer von Google-Diensten – ich war gerade dabei, von Apple-Produkten zu Android, von iCloud zu Google Drive und sogar zu YouTube Music, YouTube Premium und Gemini Pro zu wechseln – war ich von Google eigentlich überzeugt. Doch diese Erfahrung hat mein Vertrauen massiv erschüttert. Die Unfähigkeit, einen direkten Kontakt herzustellen, und die aggressive Abbuchungspolitik haben mir gezeigt, wie wenig Einfluss man als Kunde hat, sobald etwas schiefgeht. Konsequenzen und Generalkündigung Nach dieser Erfahrung habe ich mich entschieden, alle kostenpflichtigen Google-Dienste zu kündigen. Ich habe eine E-Mail an die von einer KI vorgeschlagene Adresse gesendet, in der ich nicht nur die Kündigung von Google Workspace, sondern eine Generalkündigung aller kostenpflichtigen Dienste bei Google gefordert habe. Ob und wie Google darauf reagiert, bleibt abzuwarten. Doch eines ist sicher: Diese Erfahrung hat meinen Blick auf Google grundlegend verändert. Fazit Meine Erfahrung mit Google Workspace und dem Kundensupport war zutiefst enttäuschend. Die Unmöglichkeit, einen direkten Ansprechpartner zu erreichen, kombiniert mit aggressiven Abbuchungsversuchen, hat mich frustriert und verärgert. Ich kann nur hoffen, dass andere Nutzer nicht in eine ähnliche Situation geraten und Google seine Prozesse überdenkt, um Kunden wie mir in Zukunft besser zu unterstützen. Pros Die Grundsätzlichkeit alles unter einem "Dach" zu haben ist verlockend. Die Kombination auch mit Gemini und der diesbezüglichen Erwartung war/ist groß. Cons Alles unter einem Dach zu haben und 100ige Abhängigkeit. Wenn irgendetwas mit oder bei google nicht funktioniert, oder auch zufällig oder willkürlich stattfindet ist man handlungsunfähig. Pros I like how it integrates all the Google tools you use on a daily basis into your company's domain with specific features available just for your company i.e. the ability to share Google docs with only those in your domain via link sharing or making users sign into their company Google account to fill out a Google Form to support confidentiality. Additionally, I love how Google is trying to combine multiple features into one app like Google Meet and Gemini into the Gmail app so that you don't need to download separate Google apps for singular purposes. Cons I don't like how for Google Drive you have to download separate apps to access different file types in your Drive like Docs, Slides, and Sheets. The cross-editing between Docs and Sheets is alone what has substituted three tools that I had to pay separately. Cons Occasional cloud sync bugs, where scheduled calendar events on one device did not synchronize with other devices, at the most inappropriate times. It's not perfect though. I wouldn't say it's the most reliable, but it's definitely the best to work with on a day-to-day basis. I just get my work done faster with Google. It does however.. crash. And the browser really isn't better than Internet Explorer. Frequently if I have a browser issue, I open IE, and it'll always work in there. Pros Google is simply better than everyone else when it comes to designing a workspace that helps you get as much done as fast as you can. I've used Microsoft 365, Dropbox, Box, and iWork. Google just does everything more efficiently, especially if you want to collaborate on docs and slides. Cons It does crash more frequently than Microsoft 365. If you have 100 calls for example, you'll likely experience a weird phantom issue on at least 3-5 of them. My docs freeze every now and then, but I'm also someone who doesn't like to restart their computer. It's likely from an overcache. Chrome afterall, is super heavy. Cons Nothing, I do like all it's features and functionalities, if the team can improve something it could be new features for emails management automation.
