### "The tool that has changed my way of designing and simulating systems."

May 16, 2023

5.0

Simulink has been a transformative tool in my work as an automation engineer. Its intuitive interface, library of predefined blocks, and integration with MATLAB make it a very useful tool for the design and simulation of dynamic systems. Despite having a learning curve and requiring powerful hardware for real-time simulation, Simulink's benefits in terms of time savings, system validation, and system analysis make it worth using.

Pros

As an automation engineer, I have been using Simulink for the past two years and I can confidently say that it has been a transformative tool in my work. Simulink is modeling and simulation software that allows you to design and simulate dynamic systems intuitively and efficiently. Simulink's interface is very easy to use and allows you to design dynamic system models visually and quickly. Simulink is integrated with MATLAB, allowing you to use MATLAB numerical analysis tools and functions in Simulink models.

Cons

Despite being an intuitive tool, Simulink has a learning curve, especially for users new to the software. Furthermore, Simulink requires powerful hardware to simulate complex systems in real time.

### "amazing tool for Engineers"

December 9, 2022

5.0

amazing software really helpful

Pros

i am electrical and electronic engineer so simulink is the software i use constantly and i can say that is the best software for modeling, simulating and analyzing mathematical models.I really liked that you can use simulink in the online matlab

Cons

in simulink you can do many things. For that in the start i find it chaotic and need time to learn how to use it.and i feel the online simulink a little buggy and slow

### "Simulink contributes to the efficiency of my designs."

January 31, 2023

4.0

I use Simulink to model and simulate complex design systems. This helps me to identify potential design flaws and evaluate design alternatives before actual implementation.

Pros

Simulink offers a large collection of pre-built and customizable blocks. I find them useful as they reduce the time and effort required for me to develope specific design models . Thus simplifying the design process for me and increasing the accuracy and efficiency of my designs. Additionally, the pre-built and customizable block library provided by Simulink, includes ready-made blocks for common tasks, such as filtering and parameter estimation , which are important design components.

Cons

Simulink lacks in-built optimization tools and this limits its usefulness when we work on optimization-focused engineering projects.Integrating Simulink with other engineering design tools and software can be difficult , due to differences in file format , data structures and simulation methods.

### "Exploring the advanced features of Simulink for the design and simulation of complex dynamic systems"

March 11, 2023

5.0

I used Simulink to simulate the behaviour of a robot's control system in response to external disturbances such as load changes. From this I was able to represent the system components, such as the motor, speed sensors and power controllers, and observe the real-time behaviour of the control system.

Pros

Simulink uses a graphical interface that facilitates the visual representation of systems and their interactions, making it easy to create, understand and modify models. It also allows rapid simulation of models, enabling designers to quickly test and iterate their designs.

Cons

Using Simulink requires a bit of a learning curve, especially for users new to visual programming or systems simulation. The cost of licensing Simulink can be high, especially for small companies or academic organisations with limited budgets

### "Used Simulink to simulate the basic virtual battery model used in the modern Electric Vehicles. "

January 27, 2023

5.0

I have used this software for my multiple projects, the mechanical Vibration simulations (spring-mass model) to complex battery thermal simulations over different drive cycles. Overall it was fun using the software.

Pros

Very easy to assemble the required function blocks from the available library to the workspace.Connections to the blocks can be made quickly and at our convenience.Adding a "Scope" block makes visualising the graphical representation between the different parameters easy.

Cons

Sometimes take a lot of run time to simulate complex architectures. But overall very few disadvantages.

### "Most versatile and useful tool for simulation and plotting signals"

December 17, 2022

4.0

Overall this software is of great use being an electronics engineer. Simulink provides visual representation of the data in such a way that none of the other software is working even closer to it. The only thing is that it is quite expensive and not an open source software, however you have to learn it as it contains lots of functions, it maybe complex for an beginner.

Pros

The working enviroment on simulink is very user friendly and convenient to find tools easily. User is required to have prior knowledge of MATLAB to work on simulink. I can analyse and simulate the signal, modify it's characteristics, add, transform or convolute them in a very trouble-free manner. The language is so straightforward to learn but diverse too. Anywhere if you're stucked, a large library of tutorials and help is available. If you do not have instruments like CRO,IC's you can still analyse the signal characteristics by writing code in Simulink.

Cons

The cost is high and along with the complexity of the simulated signal increases excessively on increasing the amount of input components. Personally my system heats while working on simulink, but if you've good processor then it's not the issue.

### "Simulink, the ideal control extension"

July 28, 2023

5.0

With all the knowledge about automatic control, it was very easy for me to use this program. For example, using the transfer function block, and inserting the previously calculated function, or transferring the function itself from MatLab with Sisootool. It is very easy to understand when you have already analyzed block systems previously.

Pros

Simulink, with its block programming, allows different tasks to be carried out in order to perform, essentially, mathematics for automatic control. In addition, certain libraries can be added to help facilitate data acquisition with different microcontrollers. The block diagram system is very easy to understand and manage, and if you do not know how to use a block correctly, the help tool will give you clear instructions for each block.

Cons

Before going to this program, you need to be clear about the mathematics to be introduced in the blocks. Its block search menu is a separate program window, which makes it complicated to use, even with a split screen.

### "simulating reality"

February 7, 2023

5.0

It has helped me a lot in my professional life to evaluate the process conditions at the moment of operation with all the possible variables of conditions and how a controller would behave in the operation process taking into account the possible failures and the constant variables for the their design. It gives me a real idea of what I'm up against.

Pros

That it allows you to show live the operation of a designed process, or the fact that it allows you to evaluate a controller with each applicable real parameter, is something invaluable even more so when you add it to the fact that it can be integrated into such powerful simulators that shows how powerful it is. is this Software.

Cons

sometimes it has its degree of complexity that you need a guide, so it is not so intuitive but still it is a very powerful software.

Simulink helped me with studying embedded systems. It enabled me to simulate and analyze my embedded systems algorithms to see if they work according to expectation. Before deploying a system on real-world devices, I could test it using software like Simulink, which saves a lot of time, effort, and money. I am very happy that Simulink exists.

Pros

Simulink is easy-to-use simulation software. It can help professional engineers and engineering students visualize mathematical model outputs with graphs. This software is a must for modeling, simulating, and analyzing various systems.

Cons

Running Simulink may require a lot of processing power and memory. Therefore, the users may need a computer with good resources to use this software.
