A handy tool for making consistent virtual machines, even though it could do with some improvements.

Pros

Makes setting up and using virtual environments a breeze for your team, making work faster and easier.

Cons

It's a great tool but when things get more advanced, it sometimes falls short.

been a bonus discovering the application and learning to setup, now making life very easy for the DEV environment in setting up netowrks / vm's / etc

Pros

Is free! Easy learning curve and there is plenty of documentation from Hashicorp.

Cons

Can't think of any, maybe making networking configuration a bit more simplistic would help junior devs.

Vagrant was the first Virtual environment creation software I used, it works well, but when you need to go more advanced, it doesn't always do the job.

Pros

Vagrant does exactly what you expect, it's not flashy but it provides a rock solid virtual environment creation area. I've experienced little to no crashes and it's not as resource hungry as it's competitors.

Cons

I dislike that it's a little more basic than it's competitors, it does the job, but is lacking quite a few features.

It can be a bit complicated to use especially in the networking part if you are not an experienced user
