They are Cons From time to time, updates to the system are not explained clearly; for example, when I requested access to a new sharepoint folder, thy did not explicitly let me know that I would need to reset my password and claim my new username. We've been able to reconfigure our standard excel based provisions into an importable format for ease of reviewing but then still have the data in LV to consolidate. Cons There are random items LV doesn't have fully built out. For them most part it is great, but every now and then our consultant tells us of a workaround we need to use. Alternatives considered [OneStream](https://www.capterra.com/p/153745/OneStream-XF/) Reason for choosing Longview Tax Ease of use and the excel add in. I've also been through the ownership transition and the ebb/flow of leadership vision and strategy. The overall experience has been positive and I view Longview as having significant momentum in the right direction. Keep up the great work! Pros Longview Tax is incredibly flexible and scalable for businesses of all sizes. It has dynamic push/pull interactions with Excel, allowing for instantaneous data refreshes and report customization, making your imagination the only limiting factor. Cons Interim reporting functionality is limited, so manual carveouts for discrete events and application of FIN 18 may be necessary (if using a full-year forecast approach). Being able to seamlessly integrate with Excel has streamlined my workflow and made data management much more efficient. It's a feature I've come to rely on and appreciate in my day-to-day tasks. Cons One drawback I've encountered with Longview Tax is the occasional need to refresh my workbook multiple times after pushing data into Longview. This process can be time-consuming and disrupts workflow, especially when ensuring accuracy is crucial. Our reporting has been significantly enhanced with the unlimited report capabilities. Calculations are extremely fast, even while using state-by-state, current and deferred calculations. The robust data functionality has made our processes very effective and efficient. This product has elevated our overall tax provisioning experience. Cons More automation around the net operating loss and tax credit functionality.
