It's also great that we are able to help upskill our clients and empower them to be able to complete their own calculations. Pros CAD is very intuitive, and super easy to use. It also has a good variety of EFs available to use. The team are super helpful and support is quick to answer any questions. In addition, they are very open to suggestions and since starting on CAD, it has developed so much, adding in new features, with many new features already in the pipeline. Cons It is only easy to upload spend-based data for Cat 1. If looking to upload spend-data in other categories, this is more of a manual exercise. Otherwise very good Pros The entire software is pretty straightforward and logical. Cons The interface is quite annoying when you are working on a small laptop without the extra second monitor. When you are working in the inventory on a small laptop, you can't see more than 4 rows of the inventory! Personally, I find this quite annoying. Half of the screen in the inventory is wasted to unnecessary empty space (it is just white). On a big screen this problem doesn't occur. That's why I really wanted to take my time and write this lengthy message because I am sure this is something you can fix super easy and would help a lot with the look of the interface. Especially in on a big inventory, this takes away the whole overview when you want to compare different flows and isn't efficient. Now I have to scroll back and forth all the time. I would suggest you make the heading smaller in the inventory or you work with a bar that you can expand/collapse like you did on the left green vertical navigation bar. Also horizontally it is quite annoying that I have to scroll this much, though here there isn't such an obvious quick fix... Maybe it would be a good idea to let users adjust the width of the columns themselves? That way if I wanted I could change the width of empty columns and see all the collumns on my small screen without having to scroll back and forth. In terms of functionalities, I believe the strength of Carbon Alt Delete lies in the ability to track all assumptions made during the modelling phase within the same environment, along with the easy access to the emissions factor library. These aspects have also been appreciated by auditors who reviewed some of our work. Cons There are some functionalities I hope will be improved — for example, the simulation section, which could be very useful for developing more detailed carbon management plans, and the management of custom factor libraries. Cons Some aspects of the front-end might need some minor refinement. There are a few bugs and inconsistencies, especially with the import function. These are minor bugs, likely stemming from the new features and integrations that still need some polishing, but nothing that can’t be fixed with a simple patch. In any case, they do not significantly disrupt the workflow. The scenarios section could be expanded further in terms of functionality, but I believe this would require a fundamental redesign of its logic. For relatively simple and standard scenario evaluations, it works well, but as it stands, it is extremely cumbersome to model granular variations at the level of individual activity data and/or emission factors. It would be beneficial to define potential evolutionary scenarios directly during the inventory phase, both for activity data and emission factors.
