I also like the animation effects upon task completion, which are fun and motivating. The selling point for me was the ease of creating Sub-Tasks within Tasks/Projects. This allows for both big-picture views and hierarchical organization. Also, it was so easy to import tasks from other apps, which is a huge time saver. Pros It is easy and intuitive to set up and offers many great and customizable features for organizing both your personal and business needs. You can create different workflows, establish a hierarchy of to-dos within a project with sub-tasks, and have so many different ways to view your Projects/Tasks: lists, boards, timelines, etc. Everything is so well thought out so you can customize the experience in a way that allows for your own maximum productivity. Cons Initially, the learning curve may be a bit overwhelming, but it is worth the time investment. Pros What I liked most about the application is the additional functionalities it provided aside from a simple task manager application. The application also provides several opportunities to customize the app the our liking, enabling and disabling features. Cons From when I started using the application, the UI felt really outdated. While it was manageable in their desktop version, their Android and iOS version felt old. It's helped me feel in control of my time and energy. Pros I love how much I can tailor what sorts of things I use for my productivity infrastructure. There are so many features/strategies you can toggle on and off, to find out what works best for you. I love this because what helps me changes over time. This software lets me use what I need and leave the rest. Cons The problem with being highly customizable is that there can be a learning curve and, at first, potentially feeling overwhelmed with how much power is built into this. But the video help tutorials are really helpful, and they have a great YouTube channel. I like knowing the Marvin shortcuts because they enable me to navigate the application more quickly. I especially like the lifetime subscription. Pros I've been using Amazing Marvin for over a month, and I think I've finally found a task manager that fits my needs. I stumbled upon Marvin while browsing YouTube, and after I downloaded it, I stayed past midnight checking out its features. Marvin is geared toward solo users who want need to manage multiple projects and daily tasks. Though the application can be used straight out of the box, it offers several ways to customize the user interface to fit your task management workflow. Marvin includes over 50 strategies you can enable/disable according to how you want to set it up. What's most important for me is how the application helps me plan my daily and weekly tasks and projects. With other task managers, I would input tasks and projects, but after a while, I would avoid all the work I did. That's not happening with Amazing Marvin. One of three Marvin strategies I use to keep focused is called Top of Mind, which posts on my desktop the current task I'm working on. So if I gear off into doing something else, the Top of Mind refocuses me. I also use that feature to track how much time I spend on a task. Marvin also includes strategies for quickly adding recurring and non-recurring tasks. Your most crucial projects can be pinned to the Home base for easy access and to remind you how many tasks of the projects you've completed. I've only scratched the surface about Marvin, which comes with a one-month trial. Cons Marvin provides several ways to input tasks inside the application, but I would love for Marvin to have a way to input tasks on the desktop outside of the application. Switched from [ClickUp](https://www.capterra.com/p/158833/ClickUp/) ClickUp has lots of great features, and it's powerful for teams. But after a while, I found it cluttered and difficult to input tasks. Plus, it lacked strategies for helping me stay focused and get through projects. Too many features are hidden in ClickUp. Advanced task manager which demands advanced users and feels complex but other easy to use big competitors only provide limited features. It leaves up to its self proclaimed "Amazing" in its name. Love how you can set estimated time on the tasks which is not available in its popular competitors and very helpful to plan my day. Cons The biggest feature of plug-in style features is the biggest hurdle to use marvin as you need to do your own research and find what suites best for you. Doesn't support multiple timezones as it uses system timezone for task schedules which was a issue for me when I was working from a different timezone. It has the most flexible approach to organising and managing your life, both personal and business. Pros Where do I begin? Amazing Marvin is the first thing I open every morning. It is the lifeblood of everything that I do (personally and business). It helps me organize my day, as well as helps me plan for a week ahead, a month ahead and even my bigger picture goals. Basically it is everything in a to-do application that I need. I have been with this software from near the beginning it's journey, when it was just the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] running the operations. And I have seen it grow to a team of support staff and a neat little business. I love everything that they do and they are regularly updating the application (granted a little break during the pandemic - but we all did that!). Amazing Marvin is one of the most flexible life organizing apps out on the market. Cons The only thing that I can fault with the app is that it is targeted for individuals. Using it with a team is not an option at this stage (although the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] said there is something in the works). So as my business is scaling up, I've had to find creative solutions like using integration apps to help keep me abreast of all the ins and outs of the business side of things with my Virtual assistants. I still couldn't live without the app though.
