Overall my experience with Youtube has been positive and exciting! Last year I upgraded to Youtube Premium for my family and I and we absolutely love it!

Pros

YouTube is probably my favorite and most used website. Between Youtube and YouTube Music I think it accounts for at least 50% of my activity online. YouTube has so many great aspects!

Cons

Youtube has very few drawbacks in my experience. I've noticed some lag and glitches from time to time but it's not consistent. And its probably due to bandwidth especially considering there's so many users on the website at the same time. Also, the ads for free usage can be excessive at times.

YouTube is a video sharing platform that hosts everything from music videos and educational content to vlogs, product reviews, and live event coverage. YouTube creators can build channels, monetize their content, and reach global audiences without traditional media gatekeepers. For viewers, YouTube functions as both a search engine and an entertainment hub where content on just about any topic imaginable is available with just a few clicks.

Pros

What I like most about YouTube is quite simple. There is so much content housed on YouTube that just about any topic you can think of has tons of content related to it uploaded on YouTube. I like tackling projects myself whenever possible, so I especially like using YouTube for how-to videos.

Cons

Having been a YouTube viewer since it's inception, there are two main cons that I can think of. First is the increase in advertisements over the years. I understand why they need to be there to continue to allow YouTube to be free for users, but it can still get a little annoying. Second is the fact that for many years, audio would pause on a mobile device when you left your YouTube screen or your screen went to sleep. Now, I understand you can pay for a premium account to eliminate this issue. But to me, I think that should be a free feature.

Overall, YouTube is a very good platform with a lot of valuable content. However, some decisions, like excessive ads and lack of transparency with dislikes, negatively affect the user experience. I feel like the platform could improve by listening more to its users.

Pros

YouTube has a huge variety of videos and content creators. Each creator builds their own community, and the interaction through comments and likes makes the platform very engaging. I also like that creators can monetize their content and grow their channels over time.

Cons

There are too many ads, and the platform constantly promotes YouTube Premium to remove them. Another issue is moderation, which is mostly handled by AI and sometimes makes mistakes. Also, the removal of public dislike counts makes it harder to judge whether a video is actually useful or not.

Pros

What I like most about YouTube is the variety of shows, music and creativity that they provide to everyone.

Cons

What I like least about YouTube is the ads. I think there should be no ads or shorter ads that way the listening continues smoothly.

Overall, I love YouTube and I have always had positive experiences using it. You can watch all kinds of videos from fun, to serious, informational, etc. I have been watching YouTube since I was a kid, and I will always be a user of it! I think it is also easy to upload your own YouTube videos as well.

Pros

I like that you can search anything you want and be able to find any kind of video you want. I think it has great customer support, great value for your money, and it is great for social sharing as well! Super easy to use and navigate, and I love all of the different features! There are many ads, however.

Cons

The only thing that I dislike about YouTube is the advertisements, but I understand why they are there, and you are usually able to skip them pretty quickly. I do not like the long, unskipable ads, though, and I am sad that they patched the way to get around watching ads.

Sometimes there are too many ads. Some videos are blocked in my country. The app can be slow sometimes.

What a beautiful video streaming app. YouTube has been my best and favorite streaming platform as it has a lot of nice features which always makes it fun to watch.

Pros

YouTube is always easy to use for streaming live , watching videos etc. I like the fact that it allows me to use background play . I also like as it allows me to link it with my Smart TV. It is very good for video creation.

Cons

I don’t like the issue of too many annoying ads. Also their customer support team needs improvement. Every other thing is fine.

As a content creator, I began to upload a wide variety of content revolving around Gaming, Voice acting, Music playing, Cosplay, Conventions, Live Action Skits, and so much more. At the time of writing this, it's 10/2/2025. I'm still going strong as a YouTuber. YouTube has given me the freedom to express myself through the art of my videos for the world to see.

Pros

YouTube is an endless world of entertainment for anyone to enjoy free of charge. Provided you have internet connection of course. If there's a certain Genre than interests you, you can find videos about it on YouTube. If you become a content creator that uploads videos, you'll gain subscribers, fame, and maybe even money.

Cons

Speaking as a Content creator since October 30th 2008, it can be very difficult to get your content noticed on YouTube. Most smaller content creators have to upload stuff that is in line with the algorithm if they want a chance at getting noticed. To become big on YouTube enough to make a living, it's luck based.

I don't like the ads appearing all the time during videos and I think there could be a free version for YouTube Music, but I understand that ads are part of YouTube Music and YouTube Premium and it's good for YouTube to make a profit too.

Pros

Unlimited content accessible at the click of a button. There is always something to watch to keep me entertained. High quality creators are financially compensated for their work which drives excellent content on the platform.

Cons

There are unfortunately a number of channels publishing reuploads and stolen content, which I believe is an illegitimate form of business. There are also many bots advertising adult sites which should not be present on such a platform.
