Pros It has everything a small business owner could want or need out of the box: booking, website, blog, courseware and membership management with a product store. These are the key elements of a true business system and they've got you covered. Cons While I don't think I've run into any cons, I'm sure there are still areas of opportunity for Mastera to evolve in. Video management and/or integration with 3rd party tools might be those areas. Pros Mastera is a one stop shop for online education content creators. The features seem to have covered everything and is so easy to use. I don’t have the most technical background and using the backend is intuitive and user friendly. And this may sound trivial but I love the fact that all of the features on the website are pre-made and active right from the start. Cons I am still getting to know the platform and so far I haven’t had any negative experiences, but when it comes to features, I am curious about the capabilities of the shop. I have teachers who would sell products as well. I would like it if I could set them up to process separately so they could address fulfillment of their own products, I would like to know this is possible on the platform. Pros Mastera is intuitive enough that even a non-technical person as I am is not intimidated. I did have some questions in the beginning but the support team was very helpful and cleared things up quickly. Connecting the platform to a subdomain on my website was surprisingly easy as well. Cons There were some problems in the beginning with setting up my very first course. But then again, I think this is more or less normal. It doesn't try to be an all in one course tool/PM tool/website builder, etc. The intention behind Mastera is to be a great program for courses, and it is well executed. All the things someone would need - hosting, billing, customer contact - are all part of the tool, and simple to use. Cons The thing I liked least isn't about Mastera - it's about the timing I came across it. I currently have another tool that includes a membership/LMS module. Although it lacks features that Mastera has, it might be a hassle to migrate everything over. That being said, I foresee all my future courses being hosted on Mastera because of ease of use and ease of deployment. I initially overcomplicated things expecting a lot more options in the menu having used Wordpress. It is actually quite refreshing having a simplified layout which can achieve most of the things required for a membership site. Pros 1\. Ability to upload videos directly in the Mastera platform without having to create our own buckets on AWS or similar provider. 2. Simple yet powerful UI that is well designed and set out. 3. Able to set up live training with Zoom. Mastera handles all of the required Zoom details after a class has been booked and paid for. 4. Ability to set up live classes, VOD or sell digital or physical products. 5. Helpful support team. Cons 1\. Checkout doesn't allow option of allowing someone to pay using a bank transfer where Bank details would be provided if the customer chose this option. We would have to manually set up their account but it would still allow people to pay for a subscription / class etc. 2. Doesn't appear to have upsells or bumb sails at checkout. I think this may be in their roadmap. 3. Cannot integrate our own autoresponder through the dashboard. Reasons for choosing Mastera Kyvio 1 to be phased out only a year after purchasing which I wasn't aware of prior to purchasing which meant transferring everything over to the new platform too continue with them. New Payment gateway - Razor pay Allow admin to connect multiple Zoom accounts & specify which zoom accounts when creating class schedules Able to add image and text based elements Etc I look forward to future update. It is fun because it is so easy to set up. You can go live in maybe an hour or so..! Pros When you are somebody trying to teach people something (personal trainer, or music teacher like me), than you don't want to spent millions of hours at WordPress designing your homepage (I did that once, and that's already enough). Still, you don't want to miss the most important features like subscription payments, your own domain, whitelabling and marketing. I am happy that I found Mastera because they offer almost all of it. Cons It's still a product in development somehow. That doesn't mean it is not working (it is working extremly well), but that I miss some stuff which would make my life a lot easier (easy facebook-login experience for users, more payment options and being able to double sync Google Calendar). I believe though, they are working on exactly these things already. I am using Mastera as an early adopter to their community functions. Pros The value is incredible at the cost of Mastera. After using Mastera over the past few days, it's a no-brainer to stick with this LTD. It's easy to use. I transferred my course in about 15 minutes. Plus, I'm excited about their roadmap - especially the community aspect. Don't miss out on this! Cons Mastera doesn't seperate itself as it currently stands to other LMS apps. Pros I was looking for an online solution to sell my courses and premium videos. I have tested a lot of cloud software. Not only that, but I have even developed a custom solution.
