Three years of fairly smooth sailing! We use Procare for most of our center's needs.

Pros

I love that everything our center needs for communication, attendance, CCS, et al is all available via one software/app solution!

Cons

The only thing I've wished it had is the emergency contacts and information to be included in the child's profile.

Procare Solutions has made the billing process simple and easy. Our school sets up recurring invoices and families are able to pay online.

Pros

Ease of use to send out newsletters to current students and communication to potential leads. Registration can be filled out online.

Cons

Lack of ability to process partial or ACH refunds. I have not found a way to make the registration for both leads and returning students.

Pros

I love that we can communicate with families. The app has eliminated use of paper and a lot of confusion

Cons

Sometimes the app freezes up and will take all day to update so parents can’t clock in or that we can not update the app

Procare has been a GREAT asset to help streamline and organize our child care program! We have had countless reports, errors in mathematics, and enrollment over the years, and that's all been brought to a halt with the help of procare

Pros

Procare has a great set of functionalities and a WONDERFUL customer support team for assistance in utilizing the product to work for our center. We have had a lot of great success since our transition, and just this year began using desktop and dashboard simultaneously.

Cons

Some features between the desktop and the dashboard don't synchronize, which can cause errors in ratios and staffing.

Excellent software program for managing our center.

Pros

It’s intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple for both our staff and parents to use. The enrollment process is streamlined, allowing us to keep track of all our children’s information in one convenient place.

Cons

one area that could use improvement is its mobile app functionality. Although the software is robust on desktop, the mobile app can sometimes be less intuitive and may not have all the features available on the web version. This can be a bit frustrating for staff and parents who prefer to manage tasks on-the-go.

We changed from Office Center to ProCare as we'd used Office Center long enough that the adding billing options were limited and we'd reached the limit. Editing any billing options then changed past accounts to the new options.

Pros

Once it's set up the system is very easy to use and quick to post regular billing. Additionally the filter options are exceptionally helpful.

Cons

The time it takes to set up accounts; although that is no different than any other billing program.

We are super happy with our decision to switch to Procare & have no plans to leave it! I feel that it has highly elevated our business.

Pros

It has been the best decision for the children's arts studio, from an administrative perspective. It allows us to stay organized with registration, billing, parent communication, handbooks, etc.

Cons

Being able to do a partial refund in the billing department would be extremely helpful. And I would say myself and the team is not a huge fan of the updated messaging system.

Overall experience is very good. If we have had to call for service in the past, solutions were received. Sometimes disconnects from internet, but overall okay.

Pros

Convenient, easy, and able to access anywhere!

Some of the reports aren't as customizable as we hope for.

Overall, it is easy to manage for teacher assistants and is useful for little reminders to the teachers.

Pros

Easily managed when setting up activities for kids and applying notes or reminders for parents. Little to no problems or errors when using the app.

Cons

I haven't had any problems with the app as it has been very helpful and easy to use. Although when adding activities for the kids, it doesn't have the child's name at the top when filling said activity out.

My experience for when I need to update the childrens needs and message parents, I feel it does a good job.

Pros

How you can send messages to parents, update when the children use the potty and what they eat. There is good customer service and easy to use.

Cons

When I use Procare, I rarely have an issue. It seems to work well, you can send private messages to the parents and it helps the teachers communicate with parents.

Procare is easy to use, and allows for most of the daily operations to be carried out through one platform.

Pros

It is easy to use. There are tutorials for nearly everything that are easy to follow. When there are issues, the customer support team is quick to answer and help.

Cons

There are a fair number of updates and outages that cause inconvenience to the daily operations. There are issues with the compatibility between desktop and web version.

Pros

There are so many things that ProCare keeps track of Children/Families/Staff/communication between all.

Cons

The amount of time that ProCare is down and not working. Usually, this is only for a short time, but it is definitely an inconvenience to staff and families.

They always answer the phone, and they are always so helpful. I love that they can do a remote session in my computer and fix whatever is troubling me.

Pros

I like the Tuition Express option for parents to pay using automatic withdrawals from their checking account or credit card account.

Cons

It is quite detailed - which is probably necessary for accountability in book keeping, but it does bog me down at times

for the purpose of automatic withdrawals. Parents were paying me irregularly, on different days of the week. This way, I get paid on Mondays when I have an office day.

So far so good. It's been a nice addition to the learning center facility that I teach at. Before I feel like I communicated through emails, Shutterfly Class Sites (until they canceled that application) and then Google Share Sites. It's nice to have everything in one place now with the newsletter and updates.

Pros

I like being able to stand in contact with parents about their childs day in a more "informal" way. Sometimes it can be busy at pickups to mention certain behaviors and some things don't warrant an email to the parents. I like keeping them in the loop on little things.

Cons

I wish there was a way to see if a parent has seen my notes and things put into their childs day. I have a lot of parents that can be forgetful to sign their child out, so I assume they didn't see it... or they may get notifications during the day or they might not. I just wish there was a CHECK HERE IF SEEN type button or something. I also wish that correspondence between staff messaging was a running feed. Last time I used it you could only see what you responded by opening separate messages.

Document signing section was not what I expected. Child classroom transfer option was not what I expected.

Overall, I have had a nice experience leaning how to use ProCare thanks to the awesome customer service team.

Pros

Wonderful costumer service. So many helpful modules that help you keep lean to navigate the system. Once you learn to navigate the system it is very useful and keeps you on track with our school needs.

Cons

I feel it can be complicated to learn. There are so many components to the program it can be difficult to catch on quickly. When calling for support wait times can be very lengthily, I have waited up to 45 min to get help.

Pros

The ease of use. I also like the set up. The quick access to help is amazing! Someone always answers the phone quickly and is knowledgeable!

Cons

The tuition express issue with payments not being posted after parents paid. I received no notification of the issue

It was a lot of training; though necessary, it was hard to commit. All of the trainers were accommodating and allowed flexibility.

The procare team seems to be interested in helping us through the challenges And this makes things a whole lot better!

Pros

Procare is a great product for child care facilities. It allows you to keep track of enrollment, student information, and billing all in a single platform. The implementation team was fantastic. We love Tuition Express.

Cons

Procare does not easily cross over from child care to school settings. For example, we have a preschool program as well as a kindergarten with two separate bank accounts. We had to purchase two separate entities of procare. There's not a clear clear fix to our current situation where the family pays for one service under the wrong entity. We shouldn't have to refund their money just to ask for it back.

Overall, Procare Solutions is just ok. We were excited when we were first switched over from HiMama because we thought it would be mostly the same, with the added bonus of syncing information. Because so much key information does not sync, and there are many features that do not work as well as HiMama, staff have been disappointed in the transition. Hoping for continued improvement to the app from the company based on feedback.

Pros

The supposed ability to sync seamlessely with Procare desktop (which we've been using for years) was a huge draw for us, as well as the ease in uploading documentation for portfolio/observations/assessments.

Cons

The app does not seamlessly sync with the desktop-leaving many core areas out (like emergency contacts, allergies, and child schedule). The app seems to be down or malfunctioning fairly often. I do not like the messaging feature and how it displays on the home screen because messages often get lost in the shuffle. Staff have also expressed frustration that you cannot upload more than one picture at a time, and parents cannot comment on pictures.
