Using Procare has been a great addition to our school and we recommend it to anyone when asked about what the school uses

Pros

We are a small preschool and we love using Procare to keep in touch with our parents. Its easy to use and to keep track of daily student activities. Whenever we need to speak to someone to help with a bug/issue the customer support is quick and very helpful

Cons

We have not had many cons when using procare. I think one issue is when its running slow on the phones so we cannot update the parents.

Overall, Procare is a useful tool for staying in touch with your child’s daycare and getting a clear picture of their day. However, the app’s technical issues, especially with messaging and lag, can make the user experience frustrating. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more reliable and parent-friendly platform.

Pros

I really appreciate getting daily updates from my child’s daycare, including check-in/out times, meals, and photos. It helps me feel more connected to my child’s day, especially while I’m at work. The interface is clean and user-friendly

Cons

The app can be frustrating at times. There’s a noticeable lag. I often get a notification that a photo or message has been posted, but it doesn’t show up in the app until several minutes later. The messaging function is especially poor: you can’t copy or paste, and if you need to go back and edit what you’re typing, the text box becomes jumpy and hard to navigate. It makes writing even short messages unnecessarily difficult.

### "Ease of Use"

Procare is easy to learn. I don't think there is anything i would really change about it, except maybe to make a way that the apps make sense for my needs.

Pros

It makes student management much easier than pen and paper. I lile that it has several options and we can add choices if we need to.

Cons

Sometimes I want to take more than one picture and it only lets me do one or if i want to do more than one then it does one. An option to choose would be nice.

Overall, I’m satisfied with ProCare. I like being able to clock in and out from an app on my phone. The convenience is great!

Pros

I’m able to address all parents with updates on half days and reminders. I can send individual parents messages, too. I get alerts for responses.

Cons

I don’t know where to find a history of my clock-in/out times. Switching from school to school requires a few extra steps.

Simplicity for staff and parents. Ability to do all things in one app is great. Easy communication with parents!

Cons

Seems to update at busy times, we open at 6am and when it updates it’s around 630, our busiest times.

### "Needs a lot of work"

It’s a waste of time. What’s the point when you have to receive multiple emails monthly. I myself get 50-100 emails daily and some do get lost in the shuffle. If I could have this huge amount of info in one place I know I would be a lot less stressed and embarrassed when I/my child misses an event. I’m always emailing and searching for emails weekly. I hate it.

Pros

There is really only two options. Messages and timestamp. I can communicate with the school via the messages part of the app and I can clock my child in for class remotely when I get close enough to school.

Cons

That there’s only two functions and all others do not work. We have to use email to record weekly news letters, event flyers, updates and large files such as baby pictures. The app can’t do that. I also have to go into the school to make a tuition payment.

My experience with Procare has been very good. I would recommend Procare to anyone wanting similar programs for their childcare center.

Pros

I like the communication option that is available, this has been a great resource for our center. Reminders to parents, class information. And that parents can send us messages too.

Cons

At this time I do not have any cons with Procare. I have been very happy with the services that Procare provides for our center.

Overall, Procare is great. I do wish it would add a part for children and staff files to be accessed online.

Pros

Great customer service, overall user friendly, one stop shop for everything, app is great, billing is very easy

Cons

Takes time to sync to the app, credit card fees are taken from all card transactions, changing a lot with tuition express, so many options and hard to remember how to do everything- need a comprehensive training on all features

So far using Procare has helped improve taking attendance and ease with parent pickup. Logging out in and out of students has helped with taking accurate attendance.

Pros

Connecting with staff and families. Easy to use. Clocking in and out has helped with managing hours.

Cons

With this being the first year our school has used Procare, i would have to say I am still learning how to use all components. At this time I really can’t say what I like least.

Procare has streamlined my workload. All my information is in one place and right at your fingertips.

Pros

I’ve been using Procare for more than 10years and I love it! Procare helps me keep track of staff and children’s requirements/documentation. You can print a report for any information or data you need. It is fully customizable. Procare does so much and if I need help the support website is great. There you can find easy step by step directions/ videos. The phone support team is also very helpful. I use Procare for everything; attendance tracing for children and staff, data/required paperwork, tuition charges and payment, center expenses, parent and staff communication, children’s daily reports, and more. Starting in July, I plan to use the agency payment part of Procare. It will allow me to manage agency payment with a separate ledged under each family’s account.

Cons

Honestly, I love everything about Procare. Any concern or questions I have ever had/have are answered quickly by the support staff or website.

Everyone that I have talked with is very helpful. Their customer service is great! they will work with you to find you a solution.

Pros

I like the time keeping / sign in and sign out is easy for the parents and provider to do. I like the billing section even though I enter my own each week, it is easy, and parents love it.

Cons

The cost can get kind of pricey if you do not use the auto pay. The parents do not want to pay the credit card fee.

I couldn’t be happier; transferring from our previous app to ProCare was incredibly easy. The representatives are great.

Pros

Customer support is outstanding, easy to use, and has helpful videos for a refresher after the meetings are done. Great pricing. It’s easy to update students’ information and share daily updates with parents, including photos, videos, meal times, diapering/potty schedules, and nap times.

Cons

I haven’t found anything that would result in me having a con, and i have nothing bad to say about Procare.

### "Procare meets all your childcare center's needs! "

We've used Procare for over 13 years and tried other programs on a trial basis as they came out, but none have been as comprehensive as Procare. It truly serves all your childcare center's needs. And they make changes and updates pretty frequently, especially based on customer requests.

Pros

The customer service is fantastic and the reports available on Desktop are the most comprehensive I've seen on any childcare software program.

Cons

There are still some issues with Procare Connect (employee timecard syncing and scheduling messages to go out, for example) that other platforms do better. I'm hoping that Procare will update these soon.

Pros

Parent Engagement app is a great tool to communicate with parents about their child's day. Employee data is also a great tool for administration.

It does not store historical data - someone coming into my position cannot pull data from past years.

Great it is a good app to get an continues to remind you of messages. When you text parents you can also text the staff as well.

Pros

It keeps track of kids a count for you. They have a lot of options for you to choose for you and I’m so upload pictures and videos for the kids

Cons

Sometimes it be freezing up there’s nothing more or nothing else with it. Only the time they do it just freeze up that’s it.

customer service has been very responsive and helpful with any support needed, they have taken note of things we wish were available to look into adding those features in the future, user friendly for families and staff

Ease of use, daily monitoring, communication with families is easy, tracking of attendance for CACFP reporting, embedded curriculum but still learning this

Cons

some limitations, wish there were some more features like requiring admin approval for overtime on employee punches, still figuring out some of the options

It helps with parents keep track of things. It shows what everyone is doing and when they been changed.

Cons

It is slow sometimes, and sometimes people don't put stuff in procare. It depends on the adults who are in the room.

It was a program that did not meet our needs, but some of the functions are nice, such as tax receipts.

Pros

Importing information from a previous program was handled by them, which was a smooth transition.

Cons

The program has been around for a long time, but it felt that way. Functionally, the most disappointing thing was the lack of customization of children's schedules. Visually, it was also unappealing.

I have loved Procare! It is amazing as a teacher because it allows me to stay connected with parents while they trust their child to be in my care!

Pros

I’ve used Procare at two different daycares and have loved it! I have also used a different app (Tadpoles), so I have something to compare against and I’d choose Procare 100%. I love how easy it is to message parents through the app and stay connected. It is nice that you can put in an activity for multiple kids at once.

Cons

I’ve used this app for a while and I still don’t quite understand how to put my lesson plans in? Or how the evulations work on there but it will be a process of me trying to figure it out!

Procare Solutions is has been a great way to integrate billing, staff timecards, student attendance and registration in one platform. Customer Service from the onboarding process through day-to-day usage has been fast and helpful.

Pros

I really enjoy having the ability to communicate with parents in a quick and reliable manner. Families appreciate the ease of the app and the real time updates and photos that are shared.

Cons

There is currently no ability to select different emergency contacts or to share information about one sibling without being linked to other siblings. In a world with many unique family structures, this needs to be corrected without having to unlink the children as siblings.

the online payments and it makes my buisness run smoother, it has the online minute to minute update on the child's day for parents and they really like that
