### "Disappointed After 21 Years of Loyalty"

We’ve been with Procare for over 21 years, and in the beginning, they were truly fantastic. The system was reliable, easy to use, and their customer service was second to none. Sadly, that’s no longer the case. These days, Procare is constantly down or having issues that can’t be fixed without calling support. When you do call, you’re met with hold times anywhere from 45 minutes to over 2 hours, and there’s no call-back option. Once you finally reach someone, most of the time they can’t resolve the problem, and you’re told you need to schedule a call with someone “higher up” — which can take days or even a week. Meanwhile, the system we rely on to run our entire program is completely unusable. It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially after being such a long-time, loyal customer. Procare seems to have lost sight of customer care and reliability, focusing instead on signing up new centers and collecting good reviews, rather than supporting the ones who have been with them for decades. After 21 years, I never thought I’d be saying this, but we’re now questioning whether Procare is the dependable company it once was. I truly hope they listen to feedback like this and make the changes needed to earn back the trust of their long-term customers.

Pros

When Procare is actually working correctly — which is almost never these days — it truly makes running our center so much easier. The system itself is very user-friendly and capable of handling everything from attendance and daily reports to billing and parent communication all in one place. The Procare app is great for keeping families connected and makes payments and invoicing simple and efficient. When it functions as it should, it runs the entire center seamlessly. Unfortunately, those moments have become rare, and it’s frustrating that such a great system isn’t reliable anymore.

Cons

As a long-time Procare user, it’s been really disappointing to see how unreliable the system has become. Lately, it feels like it’s down more often than it’s working. When problems come up, they can’t be fixed without calling support, and the hold times are outrageous — anywhere from 45 minutes to over two hours with no call-back option. Even after reaching someone, most issues can’t be resolved right away, and you’re left waiting days or even a week for help. For a system that runs our entire center, that’s unacceptable. The lack of reliability and customer care is truly discouraging.

Overall I like Procare, it it user friendly and easy to navigate. However as of recent with the new changes implemented there have been a ton of bugs and the flow of the ledger seems to be off making it aggravating for centers using the software before the major update.

Pros

Over procare has been very useful and a time saver for our company as a whole. Whenever there is a problem customer service is generally easy to connect with. I also love that my teachers are able to directly connect with parents throughout the day and send to the minute updates for their babies. It's very reassuring for our parents to have that open line of communication and availability to and with our teachers and staff while their child is in our care.

Cons

It has capability to capture CACFP enrollment but it doesn't do anything beyond that. We have to pay for and use a separate software to capture the data. Procare also does not offer integration with other software like kidkare to capture new student enrollment/information. There is not an easier way to create separate accounts linked for billing for parents that are co-parenting but have other children.

No bad i do well with everything. Its been user friendly and our \[sensitive content hidden\] can message us directly in the app which has been nice.

Pros

I like how it connects to our front check in so i dont have to personally sign kids in or out. This helps both the office and classroom to better keep tabs on who's here and where they are.

Cons

In the past we had an app that had a page the displayed all the kids and what we entered. So it would list all kids clocked in on the left and the if you put breakfast in gor 1 kid, diaper for 5 kids activity, lunch, am snack, pm snack, nap it would show at the top and a dot in the boxes for who got things put in. Like a chart itvwould show johnny, tommy, sara hot breakfast but no dot by matt, joe, bob meant you didn’t enter another in that category. Activities would have a number so if i entered 5 activities and it showed tommy only did 3 activities i knew i missed him some how and could cirrect it. With procare i have to ho into each child individually and scroll to see what was entered. The other sight had a great concept with the chart. It was called Hi Momma if you need to see better how it worked

Procare has provided my school with an excellent product and customer service to back it up. As stated above, it has provided a platform that our preschool families have found to be intuitive and reliable to navigate.

Pros

To say that I "like" Procare is an understatement. This platform has enabled our preschool to move from (1) "paper and pencil" registration/enrollment/organization/communication, etc., (2) parent to teacher to director to bank payment processing and staff communication to practically a totally online, but personal experience with our students and my staff- just for starters. It has enabled our preschool team to to join with our families as we send pictures and videos home throughout the school day. Financial reports, for both preschool and families are time-savers. The Procare customer service team is incredible when we have little issues, which are rare. We are thankful for this service and believe that we get great value for the cost.

Cons

It would be unfair to say that I dislike anything about Procare because their Customer Support team is always willing to assist, either by bot "Chat", online "Chat" or human support by phone. When we experience a need that Procare does not provide, there is a means to express the need in the hope that it can be provided. Twice, in my experience, the Procare team has augmented the program to adapt to specific needs from preschools.

### "10/10 Would Reccomend"

Our overall experience with Procare has been fantastic! We love being able to use their premade lesson plans, and not having to worry about parent payments by using the third party system offered through Procare.

Pros

We love the easy use and convenience of procare! Having lesson plans in the app makes lesson Planning so much easier for teachers. Being able to contact parents at the click of a button makes parent management a breeze. Being able to track activities through out the day such as meals, naps, crafts, etc. has never been easier. Any time we have needed help customer support has been quick and easy to work with. Being able to move students to the correct room and keep track of attendance makes logging hours so much less stressful. Procare is worth the money we spend in our opinion!

Cons

We wish that there was a good way to itemize receipts and better track expenses. It would be nice to have the ability to scan in receipts to have on file as well for when tax season comes around.

Procare is a great overall for the director, the finance manager, teachers, and parents. As a director, I am able to view the billing, see who is signed-in, communicate with teachers and parents. I don't use the teacher scheduling feature, but I should check into it.

Pros

I love the Family Messaging feature of Procare for teachers and families to communicate directly with each other. Plus, now there is private message for families that are split. I also like the office messaging for families to communicate directly to the office when needed. I also appreciate the help button and customer support chat. When I have a question, I first try the help button to search for an article to answer my question, if I cannot find the answer, then I use the customer support chat. Once in a while, I will need to go further and talk to a live person.

Cons

I don't love the newsletter feature. I use it and I am glad that there are templates to use to help make a newsletter. But I find that I would like to have more options and additional choices on colored backgrounds. I might need to look into creating a newsletter on a different platform and uploading it to Procare. There are times that Procare is down. That can be frustrating. But we have a back-up paper sign-in when that occurs.

I have purchased Brightwheel for a trial, but ended up not going with them. I chose Procare because of the financial part of things. ALL parties need to be onboard to switch. The financial side of things with Procare are going well, and the thought of switching all of the billing made us cringe. We stayed with Procare.

We have had Procare for around 10 years. Overall, we are very satisfied. It has been very effective for helping of collecting tuition each week. We love customer support, every time we call they are very helpful and help us solve whatever the issue is.

Pros

We like the ease of use for staff and parents, the child and parent management and the teacher communication.

Cons

We don't like the rising costs of the transaction fees for processing. I know that everything is going up but the rising costs effects our bottom line.

It keeps everything organized, efficient, and easy for both staff and families. The check-in/out system is smooth, the parent communication features help us stay connected on the procare app and messenger.

Cons

Finding the correct report, not as streamlined and easy friendly as other programs. Be wonderful if we could upload the the immunization records and have them imported into the student management part.

Pros

I recently had a couple of issues with a parent making a credit card payment at the center. Customer support was available right away (wait time was very minimal) and they were able to help me fix the different problems with each payment.

Cons

When a parent is at the center wanting to make a credit card payment with Tuition Express there should be a place to confirm the amount is what they want to pay. My issue was the parent only wanted to pay part of the bill and I processed the full payment. I think it would be helpful to have a screen that says are you sure you want to pay this amount.

Procare has worked wonderfully for my center. After having used other systems and ending up frustrated (particularly with their billing capabilities), the Procare software has really show itself to be the best.

Pros

I have evaluated many child care management solutions, and Procare is the best. It has been around in the market long enough to have worked out the bugs, and they are adding new features all the time. The system isn't perfect, but it's always improving and it works wonderfully for home child care, as well as larger centers (I've run both).

Cons

I have had issues recently with the support team, due to some business changes and updates to my account that needed to be made. I've always had a good experience with support in the past, so I'm hopeful that this was a one-time problem.

When I've had to call for help, the helpdesk folks are very kind and helpful. My issues have been resolved quickly.

Pros

The web-based platform looks great and is easy to use. I like that parents and teachers can easily check children in/out of school and individual classrooms. My teachers like how easy it is to upload lesson plans on to the platform, and how simple it is to take and upload photos of the children throughout the day. Parents love that they can see what the child is learning, evidence of that learning, and other events/activities of the day.

Cons

The 'back end' of the software is clunky and non-intuitive. Without extensive experience and training the admin side of the software is not easy to use. It can be extremely frustrating to update. Parents often have trouble updating their children's information on their user interface independently of admin.

The customer service is quite honestly terrible. I have never dealt with a company that you cannot get on the phone or via email to answer questions.

Pros

The app was easy to use. It was easy to navigate to the reports we needed. Parents like the app too.

Cons

Now that we have issues with our parents getting declined payments (even though they are on auto pay), I cannot get anyone on the phone or even to respond to emails. They are not responding to my parents either.

Pros

Great value for your money. We love the features such as; messaging, digital attendance, and the wide variety of activity options (ouch reports, notes, meal, mood, nap, and much more). I love the dashboard that should student ratio per classroom. So far, ProCare has been user friendly and easy to use on the staff side as well as parent side.

Cons

There are a few bugs. When there are loading errors, it makes it more difficult for the parents to log in and access their account.

I have always liked using Procare verses other programs. Procare customer service is always available when you need them. It is easy to communicate with families and staff. I also love the learning section and being able to put in lesson plans.

Pros

This program has always been easy to navigate and understand. There are many different types of reports you can make for important data needed. We love having all of the students information easy to access. The parents love the communication through daily reports showing meals and naps, incident reports, and pictures throughout the day.

Cons

I am not a fan of the new messaging system with it going to two different places. We do not allow access to out teachers so it is not needed and makes us miss some of the messages.

The system could be a bit more easier and parent friendly the internet is always an issue and the time difference with EST.

Pros

The service for both customer/parent is always helpful and the reps are always accommodating, the credit card options this year is great with the exception it should be spaces between 16 digits Visa/MV/Disc. That option should populated once you choose the card you are using, Amex should be different, this would help with typing the correct nmbr. I amd glad to see that you can change the amount parent are paying.

Cons

The issue with the credit card processing has become more overwhelming. The wait time for a customer service is always 60 or more minutes. When using the Procare connect solution it always refer you to speak to a rep, (tuition express cases)

ProCare has made communication with parents a breeze. We are also sending out monthly newsletters which are easy to come up with. Attendance is made easier for parents and staff.

It makes Attendance and parent teacher communication easier. I also love the ease of sending out monthly newsletter to ensure everyone stays in the loop.

Cons

It takes some getting used to occasionally after every update. It also sings you out after every update.

Overall, I am so glad we decided to invest in our daycare by using Procare. For the small amount it costs us monthly, it pays for itself with time saved! Bonus is that the parents really like us using it also!

Pros

What I like most about Procare is the ease of use. It was very simple to set up & very simple to get started using for myself, the staff and the parents. If we ever had any questions a representative was there to help us along the way.

Cons

If I had to pick a con about Procare, which is hard to do, it would be that some parents experienced minor glitches with setting up their automatic ACH payments. All in all, any of those were taken care of within days.

I chose Procare because I felt like we would be more satisfied. The representative was very upfront with all information & features including offering the best pricing immediately. Bright wheel quoted a cost, then when I stated I decided to go with Procare, they came down on their cost in attempt to "beat Procare out". I just personally did not care for that approach to business. Also, there was no feature or capability that Brightwheel had that Procare did not. Plus, I preferred the layout and ease of use of Procare.

Overall Procare is user friendly from a staff and family perspective. It is a great value for the money and customer support is a 5 star rating.

Cons

Our android use families have issues at times signing in/out their children. The teachers will occasionally have issues with formatting and sending newsletters.

The experience has been great! I appreciate the customer support the most. They are quick responders!

Pros

I like the price, it is much cheaper than Brightwheel. Customer support has been excellent, that is actually the reason I chose them. I like the staff management module.

Cons

I accept check and online payments and charge different amounts based on how customers pay. I would like to be able to limit customers who signed up to pay by check to ONLY be able to pay by check, and not use the card payment function. Also, the filtering of students gets a little clunky. In the student module I can't filter by 2 options, like "kids who attend 2 days" and have "allergies." The filter returns "kids who attend 2 days" OR "kids who have allergies" which is a large data set of all the "kids who attend 2 days" OR kids who have "allergies." I need to filter for both, so I want to see "kids who attend 2 days and also have allergies," just the 2 day kids who have allergies.

We have tried other applications and although there were pros to them, Procare had the most success amongst our staff.

Pros

Procare Solutions has a simplified layout that is organized and condensed to most important features. Fast communications and the ability to post information and update as necessary.

Cons

Procare Solutions unfortunately has bugs and glitches that are repetitive and crashes that can last hours

Overall I am happy with Procare. It is a beneficial system to communicate with parents and provide a daily report. There are some places that could use improvement but it is in general it works well for our classroom.

Pros

I like that it is easy to select activities for children to share with parents and guardians. Parents are easily able to send messages to the classroom as well to let teachers know if they will be late or if their child will not be in attendance that day. As a parent, I enjoy getting the email summary at the end of each day.

Cons

We have had a number of issues with connectivity. It's not a constant issue but does happen on occasion. As a teacher, I would prefer if there were a few more options when it comes to adding bathroom activities. It defaults to diaper and as a mixed classroom, I would like to be able to set some children to default to potty over diaper. It doesn't appear that the push notifications work well on Android as I have never gotten them for my child or my classroom on my phone but my child's notifications come through in the classroom iPad.

Procare has been a huge help for our childcare center. It simplifies daily operations—attendance, billing, and parent communication are all in one place. The system is user-friendly, and their support team is responsive whenever we need help. One area I’d love to see improved is the ability to handle account adjustments more easily. Having better options to write off or charge off parent accounts directly in the online version would save a lot of time. I also wish I could update which bank account tuition payments go to without having to call and wait for the backend team to process the change (which usually takes 48+ hours). Overall, Procare is reliable and saves us time, but adding these features would make it even better for childcare centers.

Overall, the app is really convenient and nice to have. I do enjoy it more than brightwheel, minus the price.

Pros

I love how easy Procare is to use for both the staff and the parents. The parents are able to get notifications right away with what their child does throughout the day. This provides ease for the parents. I’m able to use the Lead option to manage new children who are interested in coming to my center.

Cons

It is a little more spendy compared to other platforms like Brightwheel. I don’t enjoy the fees that I get changed when my parents decide to pay through the app with a card or bank account. The fees get really expensive on top of the monthly fee to have the app.

Overall I have enjoyed using it. I have used it both as a teacher and as an admin and the process has been seamless.

Pros

The use-ability has been great! From some of us that have used similar platforms in the past to some people on the team that didn't even know software like this existed.

Cons

Currently Im not able to download the Childs photo. When this came up was end of the year when we wanted to make student year books, however we were unable to download a group of photos by student, class or year. I understand some of the privacy policies come in to play, but something to make this easier for the director level to make even graduation slideshows would be fun!
