I like that it keeps you up to date of any isses and your tickets are easy to access Pros Its relatively easy to navigate and offers suggestions on travel options. Keeps you up to date on any delays. Good back up option if struggling with other sites Pros Good value for money and really simple to book travel arrangements. There are generally quite good options and prices often cheaper than other providers. Cons In some more rural areas there are less travel options available that other sites such as hotels.com or expedia so it really depends what you are looking for. I realized the mistake within 15 minutes and immediately contacted their customer service to correct the dates. Unfortunately, they refused to make any changes or offer a solution, even though the request was made almost instantly after booking. This shows a complete lack of flexibility and customer care. Mistakes can happen, and I expected at least the option to change or pay a fee to correct the ticket. Instead, I was told that nothing could be done. I am very disappointed with this experience. Trainline acts only as a reseller but takes no responsibility in assisting customers when issues arise. I strongly recommend double-checking every detail before booking, as even the smallest mistake cannot be fixed. Pros What I liked most about Trainline was the user-friendly interface and how easy it was to search, compare, and book tickets quickly. Cons What I disliked was the poor customer service. Even though I noticed my mistake quickly and emailed them within half an hour, they only replied the next day at noon and refused to help. As a result, I had to pay for a service I could not use. As a foreigner I was initially intimidated by the train system and worried that it would be challenging for me to correctly book train tickets without an app like this. Now, it's become a staple in my life and holds the top spot for travel bookings. Pros Maintaining as much simplicity as possible while travelling is essential for me. When I first started using Trainline, immediately I knew this would be my top platform booking my travel. The first time I arrived in the UK particularly, being able to buy tickets via the app and seeing the best times and prices available made my travel process much smoother and took much stress off my plate. The overall interface is very intuitive and only requires a few clicks to complete your bookings. Cons Can't think of anything! It's an essential app. Pros Keeping all my tickets in one place is fantastic, and I find the tickets so much more reliable than the old paper tickets. I also like the ease with which I can produce an expense report, with one notable exception. Cons My biggest gripe is that, unless I hook up the app to my expenses system (which is typically much more trouble than it's worth), the expense report is a bitmap image. While this is generally ok, since most corporate expense systems let you upload a file, it would be great if the app could also export the metadata for the fields that I typically need to enter, to save me typing it out every time. Pros It is quick and easy to use to book train tickets for journeys and having the E-tickets helps me to keep all my tickets in once place if I am doing a return journey on multiple trains. I also like the fact that it tells you what platform the train should be arriving on so you can plan changeovers in advance. Cons It charges for refunding unused tickets and also the fact that a booking fee is cheaper if you book the ticket on the day of travel in comparison to booking in advance so I often used to book my daily commute ticket on the day to save the booking fee if I had booked it the day/a few days before.
