It's intuitive and easy to use with wonderful lesson reminders. Cons Inactive students - it should be easier to spot them for some given definition e.g. no lessons in past 6 months and then decide what to do with them. Currently it takes spreadsheet effort. We switch to Teachworks several years ago from another software program that was much less user friendly and less useful. Teachworks has been great! And any time I have had a question or have suggested a feature improvement, they have been very responsive and quick to resolve any issues. Pros Teachworks has been especially helpful for scheduling and invoicing customers. And the customer support has been excellent! And we love all the different add-ons to make it even more useful and customized to our needs. Cons Perhaps the biggest challenge we have faced is with the Quickbooks integration. Unfortunately, there is a little glitch when syncing with Quickbooks, because of the way the VAT tax is calculated compared with the way Quickbooks calculates the VAT tax. So some invoices will change after syncing and will not match the invoice in Teachworks. I thought, "If it doesn't work, I'll change to another company later." And I've been SO happy that I've not once ever considered having to change. Pros Teachworks was easy to set up and is very user friendly. Also, anytime I have a question, I just write in and it gets answered promptly and thoroughly. But most importantly? It works! I never have to worry about anything going down, data being lost, etc. It's always up, always working:) Cons I just wish I had more time to dig in to features I'm not using! I also wish that they had a better system for tracking student test scores like ACT and SAT. I want to keep track by section as well as the overall scores as well as if it was a practice test or actual test. I tried the feature a while back and it was just too "clunky." The abundance of features, ability to customize, and myriad plugins to connect to external tools make it invaluable. The amount of time we saved moving from our previous approach this tool amounts to many hours per week. Additionally, the responsiveness and helpfulness of customer service is top notch. Cons Honestly, very little. It saves me a lot of time with scheduling, payroll, and managing both students and teachers. Even with a couple of features I wish were more flexible, it’s still very reliable and easy to use. Pros I like that Teachworks is easy to use and keeps teachers, students, and admin like me organized with the calendar, student roster, and staff listings. It makes payroll simple each month by showing the total hours and classes worked, along with any admin time. The pricing is also great for what we get. Cons I can’t sort teacher hours and classes within Teachworks to quickly see how many classes were taught for each student or class, though I can download the data to a spreadsheet. It’s also tricky to apply lesson packages to specific lessons. For example, with long-term students, payments can get applied to lessons from years ago unless packages are applied from the very start.
