At the beginning it was easy to book time with our Sales Rep and to get all my questions answered. Now when I have questions, the response time of the Support Team is very quick. Pros It's very easy to enter your inventory. Even though our company is unique in the way we use the software, we were able to make it work for what we needed it for. Cons The reports are not very user-friendly. I thought I could design my own reports to meet the needs of our company, but it turns out not all data is available to use as a source on every report. Very easy to use, manage and control multiple SKU items Pros Easy to use, does what we require and able to manage stock our way with the software. Able to print QR codes for Batch number and best before dates. Cons Not being able to edit the functions on the handheld devices. The hand held device has sometimes played up, where it has not list an item in best before date order, meaning the wrong stock has been picked. Pros consolidation and tracking are great, the amount of reports available is amazing and the ability to flag slow moving inventory has been a huge cost saver no more losing out on return dollars be the item is outside return window Cons does not seem optimized for fast turn around and high volume. cannot bulk receive, all items on an invoice need to be received individually. fine for a few lines but 200 plus line item orders are cumbersome, cannot create or populate orders from handheld must be done at workstation and again fine for a few lines but larger orders can be a slog. The training before implementation wasn't as helpful as the training after implementation, but that was because I didn't know what to ask at first. Pros It's very easy to use to keep track of our supplies. I also like that I can add new items and make changes. Cons Initial setup was complicated, but the technicians were very helpful in that process. There were mistakes I made because I didn't know what I was doing, but they guided me through the process. I wish I had been able to talk directly to the person who did the implementation instead of emails back and forth which, I think, made the process take longer than it needed to be. We may be able to rate it higher after we've had more time with the program Pros Familiarity. We were using an old version of Wasp Inventory so the transition to this version was just a matter of getting acquainted with newer features. Cons InventoryCloud is way more complicated/involved for our needs. We simply want to know what we have and where it is. We would like to know how many skids we have and how many pieces we have total. skids can be inconsistent and might have different quantities per skid. Pros The inventory management portions are wonderful. Everything is tracked in real time. Lists of low stock items, soon to expire products, and other tracking metrics work well. Cons The search feature is lackluster at best, unusable at worst. The non-pro subscription does not let me customize hardly anything. With a university lab's research budget I cannot afford the extra $5,000 each year for customization. Most things are still doable, but having custom alerts, report templates, etc. would be nice. Not $5,000 per year nice though. Cons That I cannot get alerts for both expiration date warnings as well as min and max alerts. Handheld devices are also finicky with wifi connections. It's pretty easy to use and flexible enough to fit most needs. What complaints I have will likely be fixed in the years to come. Pros It's easy to set up and use, and has enough features that you could easily manage an inventory of a few thousand SKUs. Organization of the software menus is done well and there are no issues training people to perform the basic functions like scanning items in and out. Being able to redesign your labels and reports is a nice bonus feature I wasn't expecting. Cons The mobile app has some issues from time to time and any time I have a question, customer service takes their sweet time. I sing it's praises in every warehouse I visit and have been working to get more people in our company to utilize it and follow our lead. It's totally changed how we operate for the better. Pros We upgraded from using a server based version of Wasp from years ago, and the difference was night and day. It allowed us to now access the inventory system from anywhere, without being dependent on a particular network. We've been able to more easily bring other warehouses in our company into the fold and get them quickly integrated. There are plenty of useful functions to help keep track of costs, locations, and history of transactions to back track and locate any user error. Cons We rely heavily on mobile usable and at times there has been errors that does not push the transaction through. It also has the capability for you to build reports that tracks data you deem important. It is easy to use and even easier to set up once you get it going. I love the fact that I can access this program anywhere, including on my phone, in case there is an emergency or someone is confused and calls for help. Cons Overall I really do like this program, there is only one real Con I can think. We had our data imported from an older WASP Inventory program that was having lots of issues before we booted it. While all of the data crossed over, in order to fully utilize the unit function I basically had to delete the product and rebuild it. It would be nice if the program allowed to make unit changes without having to start over. This system has helped us to completely eliminate paper records while accurately determining where our equipment is at all times. Cons For our purposes, the barcode feature by SKU was not utilized as it was meant to be. Since we often order from different vendors, the products we receive are often labeled differently and do not have the same barcodes. One of the best items also provided with the upgrade is the availability of creating your own custom reports very important in tracking your inventory . It's a must have program if you want to make sure all your inventory is squared away.. Cons Only one real issue I've had is label printing not as easy as the previous version, Creating the label is not the real issue it's having to modify a labels size .. Not user friendly when it comes to label modification. Not a deal breaker.. I do have a work around only because I've been using inventory control for some time now. Reason for choosing Wasp Inventory We've been a WASP customer for over 5 years now and upgrading seemed alot easier than selecting a new system and starting from scratch, Just so we are clear we weren't having issue that called for a system replacment.
