I use it daily alongside Tekmetric in our shop workflow, and the integration makes it easy to quote and order parts quickly. Being able to compare pricing and availability from multiple vendors in one place saves time and keeps the estimating process efficient. Pros What I liked most about PartsTech is the ability to quickly shop multiple vendors in one place. It makes price comparison fast and easy, helps find the best availability, and saves a lot of time during the estimating and parts-ordering process. Cons What I liked least about PartsTech is that the location availability can be misleading. It may show a part as available for delivery, but the inventory isn’t always at the closest warehouse, which can lead to confusion about actual delivery times and delays when ordering. Estimates are so much faster using PartsTech and always get the best price for my customers. Pros Ease of comparing parts between parts stores. Diagrams for a lot of suspension/steering systems help when different manufacturers call parts different names. Cons Some parts listed can be incorrect. Parts cart cannot be ordered after a certain amount of time which can be a little frustrating if the order is large. I have only used it with one RO writing system and the description of the part would sometime be vague and too in common with other parts making hard to put onto the correct repair line. Could be just the RO writing system I was using as it had a ton of flaws. It almost feels like PartsTech is just part of my shop management software. Pros I love PartsTech! PartsTech makes it so easy to order parts directly from my shop management software. The integration was super easy. The support is phenomenal. The software is easy to use. I can order parts for a specific job or manage my shop inventory. I just add what I need to my cart and pay for it all right through PartsTech. This integration saves me a lot of time making it a great value. Cons Not sure if its my shop manager or PartsTech but some times the vehicle info doesn't go through and I need to reenter the information. Not a serious issue though as I can enter plate or vin, or choose make and model so its an easy fix. Review Source HM Haley M. It is very helpful and able to be a huge resource. Pros I like that it was easy to integrate into current software. It assisted in showing pricing and availability of parts. This means customers were able to receive accurate updates and completion dates. Cons There were several times that Partstech did not communicate with vendors causing delays in many areas. March 16, 2022 5.0 Overall, it has saved out advisors so much time not having to call multiple vendors or using 6 different logins. We can see everything all at once and which warehouses items are located. We can submit an order to all vendors at once also. Pros The program integrates most vendors for time and cost savings. Extremely simple to use makes it even better. Cons I would like to see all information carried over from vendors own site. Cons search results are limited, and i've run into issues not being able to find correct parts or just not showed on search results but are shown when searching directly at vendor outlet (napa prolink or speeddial) i still have issues with correct inventory location, I can never trust that (unless it's in stock locally). and the last month or so, its has hang ups or freezes when adding parts to cart (specifically worldpac) or when checking out. The fact that tracs/parts tech now allows parts to be billed and ordered to repair orders makes life a lot easier Cons unless you have the exact name of the part-sometimes it is difficult to find the part. do not have categories to find parts. also 30% of the time to quantity does not switch over to order. states no order available in tracs. need to go back and add to quantity line. This makes preparing estimates and ordering parts so much better. We can see five suppliers at a time and all their inventory/pricing. Cons Sometimes there are interruptions in the connection with certain parts suppliers.
