This was the last straw. Will never use them again! Zero support when things don’t go as planned and they charge you fees when they make mistakes and refuse outright to do a simple thing in order to make it right! I hope they’re happy with their last $15.00 plus tax from my account. They have now lost my business forever and everyone I know will know about this unethical practice of theirs as well. Pros Having the option to order groceries online is great when they actually do what they say they will. \*\*\* Cons Customer service was terrible! I had to cancel an order because it was going to be delivered an hour late, and they charged me a cancellation fee of 15.00 plus tax. They could not meet their service promise and proceeded to charge me a ridiculous fee for a problem they caused! Deleted my account and will never use this service again! The company owes me $132 for a reimbursment and are not paying me back! Nobody knows how to get me my money back, and they have now deleted my account and I have no way of talking to anyone. Pros Nothing, they don't do anything to help you as a shopper. Cons They are the most unorganized company I have ever had dealings with! The batches they put together are so far away from where you shop, it is totally not worth it to do a shop. Some of the batches had me driving for 100 km and only paying $25. I would end up making about $5 after paying for my gas, not even mentioning my time to complete the order. Customer service for the shoppers is a total waste of time. I like that you can communicate with your shopper while they shop which is something that grocery stores pick up delivery apps lack. This gives instacart an advantage. Cons What I like least about the app is that sometimes the app does not track when things are out of stock. I wish there were a better way for the stores to communicate with instacart so that I will not choose items that are out of stock. When things are out of stock sometimes I am notified too late. Where grocery store pick up and delivery services have an advantage is that if an item is out of stock, they give you a substititution for the same price. Instacart will not. You will have to choose a different item, pay for a higher item, or request a refund. Maybe this is because they are a third party service. Review Source AK Alex K. I had on a couple of occasions a shopper missed an item or didn't deliver something on time and they refunded my order with no questions asked. Pros I love Instacart- it makes ordering groceries so easy and then saves me time because I do not have to go to the store. I can specify to the driver to leave at my porch if I want contactless delivery. Also, the ability to chat with the shopper in case they are out of stock on an item or have a question is a great feature. I was able to easily select everything on my shopping list. I received updates every step of the way from an assigned shopper to delivery. One item wasn't available and Instacart includes a feature where the shopper can communicate with you through chat. I liked being able to pre-select what I wanted t do if an item was unavailable. I already recommended Instacart to my friends and colleagues. Pros I used the website and the app. Very easy to use and navigate. Able to make changes even after order is placed. Atrocious customer service when a human is needed. Pros I love that we can have our office's perishables delivered from trusted sources and without a trip to the grocery store. Prices are marked up but not unreasonably so. Cons The customer service for anything beyond a missing item is atrocious. If you have an order problem, that is usually handled with a few clicks quickly and efficiently. If you are honest and not abusing "missing items" you're credited right away. If you have any problem that involves a human and not AI, it is an endless cycle of being bounced between chats with no substantial answers/fixes. Its not too expensive, it's definitely cheaper in the long run because you're saving time and gas. My overall experience is fairly good! Other than the charges for delivery and service fees which being a paid member of Instacart you pay cheaper fees and don't pay for delivery fees if a paid member! Other than this, it's a wonderful place to use for places available to shop online at. I recommend this to those that are too busy to shop themselves or for those who don't have the means to get to places themselves! Pros Instacart is very easy to use! There's different places that are available to shop. What I love most about Instacart is being able to stay in touch the entire time my shopper is shopping for me. I Enjoy being able to add more to my list of I forget something and I enjoy them trying to find something else if the item was unavailable that I requested! Cons The one thing I dislike about Instacart is the different fees. There's fees for delivery service with each order. Which I feel we shouldn't have to pay if you're already a paying member. The other negative factor is the prices are usually a bit higher than if you was to shop yourself, to make up for instacart paying the shoppers. It makes me feel more independent that I don't have to wait for my daughter to come home and do the grocery shopping. I can just whip out my phone and place an order. Pros I like the status tracking most because it puts my mind at ease and I'm able to estimate what time my order will arrive. Cons Those fees can add up quickly depending on how much shopping is being. For instance, I placed a large order with Shoppers because they had a nice sale going on and my delivery fee was $40. Instacart has saved me so much time and stress from having to make the dreadful weekly trip! Ordering groceries is as simple as writing a grocery list and the price is well worth it! Cons I do wish that shoppers were better informed on how to pick quality produce. I order a lot of fresh produce and sometimes have to go back to the store to repurchase them on my own. The app still does save me time because my grocery list is significantly reduced and Instacart makes it easy to report a problem and request a refund when the shopper has done poorly. Every aspect from choosing the store I needed, to getting my items delivered have been excellent experiences! Pros What I truly liked the most about having access to Instacart is, if you're home and for some reason can't leave, and you realize, shoot I needed something else and its something that you need right away. All you need to do is click on your Instacart and look for the store you need. Most places you need, that doesn't already offer delivery services themselves, are on Instacart. This is what I truly enjoy the most about this company! I know from experience as this happened to me which is what caused me to try Instacart out the first time I ever tried their services. What's amazing is while I'm getting my to do list complete, specifically my shopping done for me, I'm able to complete many tasks at once. Its great! I truly enjoy that you can literally choose from so many stores (convenience stores, most grocery stores, pharmacies, etc.) I'm truly grateful I tried Instacart out, its helped me in so many ways. Pros Before using Instacart, I was a user of another software program for my grocery deliveries. The first time I tried Instacart I was over joyed with how much thought goes into ensuring I will get the groceries and products I selected or as close to the product of my choosing. They allow you to see who your shopper is and where they are at during the entire shopping process. (It is almost as if you're there yourself) If an item needs to be substituted they allow you real time choices to figure out what you would like Instead. Once they are finished, they will let you know they are checking out and you can track them until they reach the final destination. Friendly service and early as expected 8 out of 10 times. Cons I didn't care about when an items substituted. Whatever they choose for your substituted item, you'll be paying that price. Unlike other software shopping programs I've used that will give you a substitution and the lowest price as the original item you had asked for or Whichever price is best they will go with.
