Lasso has a ton of potential but there are some fundamentals that need to be ironed out before it can be fully trusted

Pros

The team are very friendly and the initial training was excellent. Most of our questions are answered in a timely manner

Cons

The inventory system is very buggy and there have been multiple support tickets filed. We have lost rental opportunities due to the system showing equipment being unavailable while it was in stock and on our shelves

Inventory, Scheduling, Event Planning. Seems to have a clean look and also willing to work to make changes and updates frequently

Cons

Doesn't auto save notes, deletes info frequently when clicking around. many rabbit holes to dig down with features but able to dial in

Great so far! I have been using Lasso for about a year now and since the time I have started using it till today the Lasso team has been working on improvements to make the platform better.

Pros

I enjoy Lasso. It is great for tracking and also for setting up schedule and building payroll report. It is also user friendly.

Cons

Can be a bit slow when you have a larger lasso order, but there some tips and tricks to make it work.

Lasso works very well for our company. We have over 200 events per year and about 75 freelancers that we work with actively. It allows me to send invites quickly and simultaneously to multiple techs at once. We also use it for Onboarding and have all of our required paperwork available in one packet for an easier completion by the crew member.

Pros

Lasso works extremely well for onboarding and scheduling crew when you have a large volume of events with overlapping dates.

Cons

There are communication and notification features within Lasso that could be upgraded to be more efficient. I am thankful that they have established a portal on their site to submit Product Ideas for these Cons.

Pros

It’s much more manageable to staff shows then individually messaging production crew This continues when you must message all crew with updates

Cons

The colander sync function does not work and cards in the root view only show shows within a few weeks

Cons

There is definite learning curve with the platform, and the API is relatively closed off, but it's genuinely such a good platform.

\*\*Areas for Improvement in the Hire Software Program\*\* While we have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with the Hire Software Program, there are a couple of areas where we feel there is room for improvement. Firstly, the date format can be quite confusing for users outside of the United States. The default MM/DD/YYYY format is not intuitive for many of our international team members who are accustomed to DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY/MM/DD formats. This has led to occasional misunderstandings and errors when scheduling and logging dates. Providing an option to customize the date format based on user preference or location would greatly enhance the usability of the software for a global audience. Secondly, we have noticed that the software can be somewhat slow to process tasks online, particularly for our team members located in the Southern Hemisphere. This latency can be frustrating, especially during peak usage times when we need to quickly access and update information. Improving the software's performance and speed for users in various geographic regions would ensure a smoother and more efficient experience for all. Despite these issues, we remain confident in the Hire Software Program's potential and appreciate the company's dedication to continuous improvement. Addressing these specific concerns would further enhance the overall functionality and user satisfaction of an already valuable tool.

Pretty good.. like I said before, I'm happy with where things are headed, but I think the software is about 6 months away from being FULLY viable. There are some modules that work well and some that don't, but there's no other software out there (that I know of) that seems to understand what all it takes to make events happen the way LASSO seems to, which is reflected in the modules they are planning to roll out.

Pros

I like the direction of where things are headed and customer service is second to none.

Cons

The rollout is ambitious and I like where things are headed, but because LASSO is trying to do so much, some of the modules are too glitchy to be used.

Reason for choosing LASSO

Same reason as stated above- looking for single source of truth.

LASSO makes it easier to grab labor for an event thanks to it's tabs within a project that hit my events' needs on multiple fronts.

Pros

I like the ease of being able to blast multiple contractors with the position/job. It is also convenient to be able to sort the positions and their scope thanks to the description tabs.

Cons

Lasso should make it easier to be transparent with rate changes on positions when they happen. Other than that, it is mainly about interfaces within the messages tab that could use improvement - add in a formatting tab.

Our experience has been great. The team takes great care of us anytime we have questions or need help. We are excited to adopt some of the other new tools.

Pros

Lasso has made our scheduling and travel processes much faster and easier. We no longer have to keep up with spreadsheets for labor. We can book crew and then immediately book their travel without having to enter the same information over and over.

Cons

Onboarding took a little while but that was internal to us and not a fault of the product.

Now three years later we both benefit from a thriving conference staffing business with LASSO at our core. Pros

The efficiency of communication with our staff as it relates to scheduling and payroll is essential for our company. In a competitive environment the effective communication with our team makes the difference in our ability to staff programs in a timely manner.Realizing that in our ever-evolving world, (schedule) change is inevitable and constant and requires a quick response.

Cons

If LASSO could allow us to import excel spreadsheets when building our events, we would be able to save much time, as in our current internal process, we have to duplicate our work by entering information into LASSO as well as our own excel spreadsheets for our bidding process of RFP's , on site schedule management and as our back up in our billing process of our final invoices.

Reason for choosing LASSO

LASSO provides us with the most effective and efficient way to communicate with your staff. The ability to have the onboarding process, scheduling and communication of conferences & events, onsite timekeeping with GPS locator and payroll processing all in one program, makes it an affordable alternative to other software providers.

The team really listens to what we have to say, they might not be able to fix everything or implement what we are looking for, but always has the time to listen to us. That is so important to us as we implemented LASSO as our focus in our business.

Pros

We are able to staff events quicker, send out communication easier and manage our onboarding process faster.

Cons

We wish we had implementation of importing our excel spreadsheet into LASSO, so we do not have to input all data twice. This would significantly speed up our process and utilize our time more effective.

I've really enjoyed my experience with Lasso, it's a product that has drastically improved all aspects of our workflow and has given me so much more confidence that all crew have all the information they need in one place

Pros

Lasso has been so valuable in keeping track of all aspects of scheduling crew and maintaining an accurate and helpful database. The interface is very multi faceted with all the information you need on virtually every page you navigate to. You can see the event details, the crew on it, the booked crew's schedule for the week, notes about them and more all from one page. Before Lasso we were manually keeping track of when crew members were available, who we had already asked, their pay rates and more. Now all that information is stored in the same place super easily accessible for both us and the crew members. It's also cut down on time we've had to take to answer individual crew members questions as they can usually find all the answers they need in the app without having to call/text us.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve for both administrators and crew members. Because there's so much versatility in the app it can be a little bit confusing for crew who don't necessarily have time or want to sit down and learn a new app.

Reason for choosing LASSO

I can't remember the names but most scheduling software didn't have as clean of an interface, was too clunky and was missing one or two vital features that I was looking for. Lasso is the only product that had everything I needed and more helpful features that I had never even thought of!

Some days are good and some are bad, but the software will always lead room for improvement. There is not one true answer since all companies use this system in different ways.

Pros

The ability to speak with \[sensitive content hidden\] as well as \[sensitive content hidden\] from Customer Service if/when needed is a big plus in order to have questions answered and allow the team to get the understanding of what goes on in our world on a daily basis.

Cons

Scripting is still an issue to fall in line with company policies. Dark Days and Travel Days don't block off availability on individual calendars and it's only known at the time of acceptance there is a scheduling conflict due to travel/dark day. If this scripting was there, it would avoid confusion all around.

I am a big fan of having our labor pool in an easy to see and sort view while also being able to see their availability across multiple locations.

Cons

Onboarding seems to take a. lot of time and be tedious. Wondering if we can work to make that process smoother/faster.

Lasso solves a problem that few others are event discussing. Its a software suite built for business owners and management teams to save time and streamline process. And it does this by actually making it easier, instead of creating more steps.

Cons

Sometimes the updates can come frequently and catch us off guard. It takes a little time to get used to an updated interface.
