### "An industry standard must have"

February 3, 2026

5.0

I have been using Photoshop for a couple of decades back when it was sold in a box. It has changed a lot and you can do so much more with it. It is my go to for graphic creations for my website or album covers. I use it a lot, actually, nearly everyday. It is a necessity if you do anything with graphics. Definitely an industry standard,

Pros

This is a very robust product. Once you get used to it, you can move around it with ease, especially with the keyboard shortcuts. I like the select object feature to gab and object quickly and the built in AI generation to easily replace or remove things from the picture. I integrates with premiere pro so that when you change something in photoshop it automatically updates in premiere. I also like how you can import a video and edit or pull off a single frame. They also offer a student discount which makes it affordable. There is a cloud storage feature and a way to share projects. I haven't needed to contact support as their help pages seem to cover my questions.

Cons

They have gotten rid of some old feature that I used to use a lot, like the tint option, and now I have to use the hue function which took some getting used it. Also, it is now part of a subscription instead of being able to buy it outright, but seem most software is like that now. It does take up some computer processing, but they also have a stripped down on-line version.

### "Adobe Photoshop is a Powerhouse "

March 1, 2026

5.0

Having used Photoshop for several years now it has become a staple piece of software in my marketing stack. Being part of an Adobe organization makes things seamless when it comes to editing photos, videos and developing graphics for marketing purposes. While the software is expensive it really provides an incredible set of tools and features that can't be matched by other software.

Pros

Adobe software remains unrivalled when it comes to photo editing and graphic design. Photoshop has been a vital tool when it comes to enhancing and editing images. Photoshop stacked with other Adobe applications is a must-have for any marketing department. Photoshop makes it simple to export and save files in a variety of formats.

Cons

The switch to a SAAS (software as a service) model has always been the major downside of Adobe products. Having to pay an ever increasing annual subscription for a service that is vital to graphic design is a major pain point for many creators and designers. Adobe should go back to the old days when you could truly purchase the software and did not need to be stuck in a subscription model.

### "The sad state of Adobe Photoshop"

February 4, 2026

2.0

Adobe is wants us to believe that their products are gold standard in image processing and spearheading the "AI Revolution" The truth about the technical state of Photoshop and their so called AI is ... Not only the AI revolution is not happening. In fact Adobe is offering a technically outdated and partly dysfunctional product as state of the art and at the same time putting their customers at a disadvantage wherever they can. Users who hope for a plethora of new productivity tools and features, stellar performance gains with incredibly more powerful hardware will be thoroughly disappointed as compared to even CS6. The product is basically still on the technical level of 2012, bugged, extremely slow, inaccurate and cumbersome. Changes applied in the past to introduce "modern" features made it worse. People who apparently never worked on a professional workflow designed tool and interface behavior that disrupt your learned workflows and is in part strongly counterproductive. Some highlights: Even basics do not work properly. Custom key or workspace configurations break and get reset frequently to the defaults. Adobe is pestering users with new tools and features which mostly are just useless, annoying and hindering your workflows instead of offering progress. Memory management is basically absent leading to constant out of memory errors even on 64 GIG machines while processing rather small files. Multi-Tasking at least across Bridge and PS ? Too much for Adobe in 2025 to master such alien technology Problems with GPU integration are everywhere rendering GPU support basically useless. The clues less support staff tells you not to use GPU Acceleration features if you run into problems ... Its like as if Porsche would tell you not to drive your car if you experienced issues ... Processing speed is abhorrently slow even on high performance machines. There is not really a performance gain at all compared to the 2012 version. Due to the overhead of useless new features its rather slower. Working with the same files from 2012 does not show improvement. On a machine which is insanely more powerful. Text management is still on the level of PS 3. Barely usable. If you are offline text can no longer be changed. Rendering of PDF Text is like a lucky draw ... Often the text does not render properly breaking your design. Only rasterizing solves such issues ... Insane ... Their tools can still not create good object maskings ... now AI would certainly be helpful here. Alas its nowhere to be found. Instead we are dealing with the same outdated tools from a decade ago. The PDF engine can still not auto process PSB files properly. Color statistics synchronisation across image series is still missing from the toolbox. The color Matching is an inferior and laughable attempt to address this. Patching is still not able to realistically remove blemishes on sightly larger areas without blotching everything. The Bridge application could be the perfect complement as a file manager but it is so bugged that it is just a nuisance. The performance is ridiculously bad even with ultra fast NAND SSD. Creating thumbnails takes minutes and need to be recreated almost each time you review a certain folder irrelevant of what you define in the settings. Opening an already fully indexed folder sometimes takes 10 seconds until you can start scrolling ... if you click too quickly the app freezes. Modern UI feelings ... Settings break all the time ánd need to be reapplied. Finally, the highly praised AI is either hilariously absent from the program or generates laughably bad results. Nude photography is excluded even from the "AI" functionality. Fact is ... companies like Adobe or Phase One do simply have no idea on how to leverage AI and improving a product. They are big mouthed about those thing while they do not even have age old standards like image file management mastered.

Pros

Ability to perform extensive digital editing and surgery with options to organise layers in groups and apply individual effects.

Cons

Weak performance even on high end machines Lack of overall stability and plethora of bugs, overall quality Absence of innovative tools and processes General lack of progress in application development compared to CS6 Lack of integration with Camera Raw, Bridge and other tools Abysmal performance and quality of the bride application

### "Best Graphic Design Software in the History of the Universe (Not kidding)"

December 30, 2025

5.0

I've tried other platforms and every time I do, I just wish I was using Adobe Photoshop. Coming from a design background with over a decade of freelance design experience, Adobe Photoshop is industry standard for a good reason: it is simply the BEST.

Pros

If I never had another photo editing software in my life, I wouldn't complain. Adobe Photoshop is the one-stop package for all graphic design, there just isn't another that compares in terms of variety of features available, ease of use, and overall the most user-friendly interface.

Cons

I dislike that I cannot own the software outright, and that it is only available by purchasing a monthly subscription with recurring billing. It also requires a 1 year contract with Adobe, meaning you have to purchase it for at least.

Switched from

[Canva](https://www.capterra.com/p/168956/Canva/)[GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program)](https://www.capterra.com/p/168960/GIMP/)

Because these platforms simply don't compare when it comes to the availability of features, as well as the interface being intuitive.

### "Best Graphic Designing Software but Hard to Justify the Price"

February 2, 2026

4.0

I taught myself to use Photoshop with just a few YouTube tutorials and created images that were shared on social media for my organization which were seen by millions of followers. It's the best image editing software on the market and is surprisingly user friendly.

Pros

Photoshop is the most advanced editing software and has the capability to create complex graphics in a logical way. I love using photoshop layer features to create complex social media graphics in a way you never could on Canva.

Cons

The cost of Adobe Photoshop is hard to justify when Canva is available for so much cheaper. I LOVED Photoshop before they switched to the subscription model but for certain projects it's hard to justify the price.

Pros

As a Photoshop user for 15+ Years, I can honestly say it's my preferred and trusted Adobe product. Easy to use, constantly improving, and is the industry standard for image editing.

### "Photoshop user since 2004"

March 14, 2026

5.0

It's powerful and robust. Tutorials and even formal instruction on how to use the software or how to achieve certain results are plentiful.

Pros

Familiarity for one. Have been using it for the last two decades, but there is a reason why "Photoshopping" is synonymous with photo editing, retouching, and manipulation. It works.

Cons

Subscription services are a pain point for many users, and justifiably so. I've come to accept it, somewhat anyway, where Photoshop is concerned, because the updates in the last few years have been quite substantial.

### "Nearly limitless uses when it comes to image editing"

March 25, 2026

5.0

Pros

Use layers and masks to edit without destroying the original files. Perfect for editing images for all formats - web, print and video editing. Access integrated stock libraries and transfer files seamlessly between programs

Cons

Doesn't support vector images. For beginners there is a steep learning curve and the subscription model can be pricey for many.

### "Robust and Integrates well with so many wonderful Adobe products. "

March 20, 2026

5.0

Adobe Photoshop is much more affordable and they have limited versions for mobile which makes editing easy on the fly.

Pros

Adobe photoshop is powerful and is getting easier to use for the general user. It integrates well with Adobe Stock which I use. And Adobe Creative Cloud.

Cons

It’s getting easier to use as an average user. In the past it was much more complicated. With it integrating with so many other Adobe apps it is a robust program that is also now much more affordable.

### "Great for Photo Editing "

March 26, 2026

5.0

I would give it a 9/10 for sure. I have edited thousands of photos over the years and it has always been my go to.

Pros

I have used Adobe Photoshop for over 15 years. During that time I have learned so many different things I can do in photoshop. From replacing heads in photos to adding people in photos. Changing back grounds and so much more.

Cons

I recently have been using canva to remove the backgrounds easily. That is one feature I wish you could just click in photoshop and it would do the work for you.

### "Photoshop is the GOAT"

August 25, 2025

5.0

Overall this is my go-to for graphic design and all things design really. It integrates with all adobe products seamlessly and makes it easy to go from rough idea to fully finished project.

Pros

Photoshop is extremely easy to use for entry level graphic designers. There are so many compatible add-ons and features that make your graphics look top-notch.

Cons

The new update for photoshop takes a little getting used to as it has added guidelines and a slew of other things including generative AI. Its annoying when companies update things in ways the community never asked for.

It is super to have such a professional software that can be used for literally every design making, even videos!

Pros

The generative ai that allows to make bigger photos, and the phenomanal retouching tools are one of a kind.

Cons

### "Great for Textile designers"

April 23, 2025

4.0

Once the concept of layers is understood, Photoshop becomes one of the most practical drawing and painting tool for textile designers. The customizable Workspace is amazing, you can save different ones depending what you need Psd for, (Photography, Webdesign, Allover Pattern making...)

Pros

I love the versatility of Adobe PSD. It communicates amazingly with other programs of the Adobe Suit which is making working so much faster

Cons

It's difficult to control the weights of the files while working on them, and the program it self takes up a lot of storage space.

### "Photoshop is the best raster image editor, period"

July 25, 2025

5.0

Like any Adobe program, Photoshop has quite the steep learning curve, and I'm sure that I've only tapped about 30-40% of its capabilities, even having used it for over a decade. That being said, I don't feel like I've ever had a raster image edit task that I couldn't accomplish in Photoshop. You're limited only by your imagination and knowhow, not the software itself.

Pros

Photoshop is absolutely necessary for photo editing and creating professional-level imagery. Even if you intend to export to other tools like Figma or Canva, Photoshop is the number one tool for creating the perfect foundation. From professional headshots to product imagery to whatever creative thing you can come up with, Photoshop is top-notch at refining colors, textures, lighting, and edges.

Cons

I only wish that Photoshop was still available as a standalone downloadable program file as opposed to being part of yearly subscriptions. I don't necessarily need the ongoing updates and would be content with it as is for now.

### "Bringing Photos to Life with Photoshop!"

December 10, 2025

5.0

I’ve had a great experience using Photoshop and have edited lots of amazing photos for work. It’s been really rewarding to take raw images and bring out the best in them, whether it’s improving colors, cleaning up details, or creating something completely new.

Pros

I love Photoshop because it gives me so much control over my images and lets me fix or change almost anything. I also really like how the layers make it easy to experiment without messing up, and it feels like there’s no limit to what I can create.

Cons

Photoshop can be really overwhelming, especially when you’re just starting—it has so many tools and options it’s easy to get lost. It can also be a bit slow or heavy on your computer, and some features feel more complicated than they need to be.

### "Photoshop is the best raster image editor, period "

August 31, 2025

5.0

Photoshop is a tool that I use almost every day, what I appreciate with it is its versatility and its power, it can do almost everything I want.

Pros

It has very powerful features for design creation, if you have a basic understanding of design it’s easy to do good work with. It’s easy to use with a user interface pretty interesting. I use some of its Photoshop features like generative fill, multiple subject selection and many others that give me creative and innovative work possibilities. Its integration with other Adobe tools makes it even more productive.

Cons

The learning curve of Adobe Photoshop is pretty robust, you basically need to have basic knowledge in design or watch a bunch of tutorial videos to be able to master it better and be productive.

January 10, 2025

Overall, my experience with Adobe Photoshop has been great. It's incredibly powerful for editing and creating, but the complexity can be a bit overwhelming at first. Once you get the hang of it, the possibilities are endless.

Pros

What I love most about Adobe Photoshop is its versatility. Whether it’s photo editing, digital painting, or graphic design, it gives me endless creative possibilities and precise control over every detail.

Cons

What I like least about Adobe Photoshop is the steep learning curve. It can be overwhelming at first, especially with all the tools and features to master.

Pros

### "My opinion on Photoshop"

March 16, 2025

5.0

I used it to design some images. It was very powerful to deal with, and the filters added a lot of clarity and life to the images. I also prepared images in different shapes to create a moving shot and saved them with the GIF extension.

Pros

What I liked about Photoshop is its precision in designing, processing, and clarifying images, controlling the degree of colors, cropping parts of images, adding components to them, and removing the background from images. It is very professional in making advertising banners and logos.

Cons

Its cost is high and sometimes it is difficult for some beginners to understand it. It also requires a computer with high capabilities.

### "A Must-Have for High-Quality Photo and Design Work"

November 20, 2025

4.0

Overall, Photoshop delivers incredible value for anyone who needs advanced editing tools. Once you learn your way around, it becomes an essential and extremely powerful part of any creative workflow. Whether for photography, graphic design, or digital art, it offers unmatched flexibility and professional-grade results. Despite the learning curve and cost, the capabilities it provides make it one of the best editing tools available.

Pros

Adobe Photoshop is incredibly powerful and versatile, offering professional-level tools for everything from simple touch-ups to complex, layered designs. I love how precise the editing capabilities are, and the ability to work with advanced features like masks, smart objects, filters, and retouching tools makes it the industry standard for a reason. The integration with other Adobe products, as well as access to Adobe Fonts and Libraries, makes workflow smooth and efficient.

Cons

Photoshop has a steep learning curve, especially for beginners. Some tools can be overwhelming at first, and it requires time to become fully comfortable with all the features. It can also be resource-heavy and run slowly on older or lower-powered devices. The subscription model may feel pricey if you’re not using it regularly.

### "Adobe Photoshop is \*THE\* software for image editing"

May 1, 2025

I have the stand alone version (not the subscription one) and it works great. I've always had an interest in graphical design and Photoshop makes it easy. There are a lot of great tutorials out there as well to learn and utilize so you can take full advantage of everything the software package has to offer.

Pros

The user interface is simple, intuitive, and gets the job done. There are a variety of good options available, and the menus are laid out nicely and make complete sense.

Cons

Some filters, effects, and actions are a little bit too complicated and involved for my liking. There are some actions I think should be able to be done in 1-2 clicks as opposed to the 4-5 I have to go through.

Pros

Still one of the best for design and photo edit. You can do everything, but it's not fast and sometimes just too much option everywhere. I use it for years and still learn new things.

Cons

I like the smart object and brushes, but honestly the interface start to feel old and some tool are not very intuitive. For beginners it's too hard. And now you need subscription, so more expensive than before.
