With the only issue being transitions, it is a small price to pay for the overall ease of use and fantastic features they provide. We are not even paying for the service right now as we only have one display set up! I could not be happier! Pros Adding content to the web page is extremely easy and I was able to introduce it to staff within 20 minutes. While we currently only have one device, it is in the main lobby and is in use every day, it has grabbed the attention of many people and helped spread important information. Setting it up was as easy as plugging in some cables! We are planning on setting up their devices in every high traffic area. I have not reached out to support yet, but that should go to show how easy the service and device is to use. Cons The only real issue is when using a playlist there is an option for a "transition". The transitions work perfectly and really help the images from being jarring when changing. Unfortunately, the transition only works for images and images only. If you include videos, websites, or their built in feature called "layouts", you do not get the transition when it shows that. This leads to a strange viewing experience where some of the slides transition to the next, but then it blatantly cuts to others. Going into it, I didn't really expect much. But within an hour or two of creating my account, they reached out to make sure that I was doing good and find out more about my requirements. I got the feeling that they actually cared. Then when I later ran into some hiccups due to my strict requirements had to create a support ticket for assistance, they were able to provide me solutions quickly and painlessly despite my inexperience with these types of products. Pros Basic setup is incredibly easy, configuration is intuitive, and even advanced integration is not difficult. It also has tons of features that are all straight-forward, easy to set up, and yet is flexible enough to make basic integration with external tools easy. And on top of that, their support team is top-notch. Cons My experience has been incredibly positive. Really, my only complaints about Yodeck are just a few minor quality of life things. First, it would be nice if they integrated editing the settings of the specific media/web page being displayed on a player with that player's settings and visa-versa so that you don't need to go back and forth between the screen settings page and the media settings page. Second, it would be nice if the players came with an updated version of the Chromium browser. Granted, some things work fine without it, and when I told support about my symptoms they knew right away that an upgrade was needed and pushed the upgrade immediately. But it would be nice to not need to go through those extra steps. And finally, it would be really nice if there was an integrated way to force dark mode for web pages that do not innately have that option. After dealing with constant headaches from manual updates and unreliable USB sticks, switching to Yodeck has made everything so much easier and more efficient. I love being able to schedule playlists in advance and quickly slot in special content when needed—it saves me a lot of time. While I started with Amazon Fire Sticks to keep initial costs low, I've found that the Raspberry Pi players offer much better reliability in the long run. The only real hiccup I’ve run into is that the Yodeck app isn’t showing up on the latest Fire Stick models, and while support wasn’t able to immediately solve this, it hasn’t been a major barrier since I plan to transition to Raspberry Pi devices anyway. Pros We have been using Yodeck for over a year using both Amazon Fire Sticks and Raspberry Pi's for the platform. It is the most cost effective of the services we researched and has proven to be easy to use and implement. Instructions are easy to setup Raspberry Pi's and any issues we have had have been primarily related to using the Fire Sticks rather than any actual problem with Yodeck. I really appreciate the schedule option as I can create a day-to-day playlist that runs all day every day and then plop in one off playlists on the schedule for specific events or specials without having to update each screen. Cons The only major issue I have run into that I have not looked further into resolving yet is that we purchased the latest model of the Amazon Fire Sticks and the Yodeck App is missing from the app store to download. I had reached out to support and they said that the app should exist and they do not know why I am having issues. I will have to try looking into this more soon and see if I can get this resolved. The easiest solution is that now that we have implemented Yodeck, as our old Fire Sticks break down we can just replace them with Raspberry Pi's instead. The sticks were the most cost effective option to start our system with but the Pi players are much more reliable. The biggest difference was Yodeck offering the 1 free tv trial for an indefinite period of time. It allowed me to test out various methods and features on my own schedule rather than a tight 7 days. It really allowed me to use the product and convince me of its value. It is a good professionally produced system. Pros It is a simple system with powerful features. I'm now using 3 screens, and I can see the potential. I love that I can produce effective messaging direct to the people I need to reach. It is also very cost effective, a simple player and a TV screen from a local store is all I need. I am learning how to best make content, and find the simplest is to use Canva to make HD format graphics, or sometimes animations in a HD format video. Cons It has taken me a while to learn to use it well. My next task is to train others. Not that I think this will be too hard. My one problem to date happened when I fitted the player to a wall and mounted the plastic side of the box direct to the wall. This massively attenuated the WiFi signal. December 30, 2025 5.0 Staying organized and on task is a huge hurtle of mine. We have found the best solution for keeping our family on task and organized with Yodeck. We display our calendar, our to do list, birthday countdowns, vacation countdowns, our work schedules, client meetings, the kids individual schedules, and its all broadcast huge on our kitchen wall for everyone to see and ensure we are planned and prepared for our busy lives. It is seriously awesome. Pros Yodeck is amazing. The fact that they give this amazing platform away for free with their 1 screen free policy is honestly crazy in this day and age. It is feature-rich and intuitive to use. There is so much functionality it it is almost overwhelming. But then the documentation and support is amazing as well. The player functionality has also been outstanding. Once it’s set up, it just runs without issues, which is exactly what you want when screens are customer-facing. There honestly isn’t much we don’t like. If anything, we wish we had more time to fully take advantage of all the features available, but that’s not a knock on YoDeck itself. We experimented with several canned and homemade options until I stumbled on Yodeck. We started small, I think 10 screens or so. Anytime I had an issue, within hours I had a resolve from their team. They continue to add features on a pretty regular basis and don't try to nickel and dime you along the way. Most of the new features we just got added to our account at no additional charge. They have some really cool integrations with other apps which really make things easy. I think for my situation, the ability to add live apps like news tickers, weather alerts, analytics dashboards are incredible because a stale slidedeck running all day is a sure way to fail. We are now running 47 screens today and I could not imagine managing this any other way. Great and timely support, Great product! Pros Yodeck is a breeze to update many monitors all at once and under a minute. I can watch our 47 screens across the US and Canada start showing the new content live. It is an absolute joke that we shipped out USB drives in the past and would hope someone would eventually update their screen. Cons I came back to this box several times trying to come up with what I liked the least. I didn't want this review to look like a sales pitch. We utilize Yodeck as an internal communications system across many company locations. The primary goal was to promote Employee Recognition along with company announcements, HR communication and Emergency Notification. Yodeck has met all of these needs without any wants. My occasional "I wish I could do this" is typically met by support with "Here is how you can do that". So for what we want from the system in our circumstance, I really can not find a "least like". This allows us to add/update everything we need across all our locations at the same time. Yodeck has been greatly received and we are receiving requests by other people to use it to display information for our call center and other areas as well.
