Not only were they extremely helpful and fast at solving my problems. They were even quick to kick issues up to the dev/engineering team and have features added or fixed software side within days. I have never had that kind of experience in my life with a software company. Pros The web designer is very clean and easy to work with. That being said the features of the designer are basically as advanced as you are willing to put the work in for. Cons Some documentation for specific hardware are unclear. For example I am using Tyzen based devices, I tried to deploy an RTSP stream as it is presented in the docs as a working feature. I then reached out to support only to find that this feature does not work on the Tyzen platform yet. Wish I got hit with a warning or something while deploying the layout. The amount of time and effort saved form not having to manually code anything and run back and forth to verify is such a major plus for our IT Department & our Communications Team. Pros The ability to have a universal system and see what orientation the content is and edit in real time is a major plus for us. Also having the universal library where we can pull from to upload instantaneously to our devices is making huge progress almost seamless. Sandwich boards and pop-up banners are almost completely gone. We can update changing information in real time, upload animations and applications, and it's super visually impressive! Cons The Yodeck team is highly receptive to feedback, and very good at documentation, so I don't really have any issues with the product. It can definitely be a bit intimidating for an average user, if they want to utilize the more advanced features. I have been using it since the beginning of the school year and have been impressed with its ability to be dynamic and easy to use. Pros I like that it is extremely user-friendly and easy to manage. The apps that are available are great! Cons Some of the design features could be reworked and made easier to use. A larger font library or the ability to upload fonts would be great. Within one hour I had a demo running on our 65 inch Android TV with the Yodeck Player. Support from Yodeck is pleasant surprise because they replied within the hour every time I had questions. Even though Yodeck is already very stable they are open for improvement. When I mention something they will forward tips to their developers when needed. So heavily recommended for first time users but also suitable for experienced narrowcasters! Pros The very easy and intuitive way of setting up the first monitor and creating content from a combination of documents, audio and video file types. Cons The differences in app/file support on available players. The Yodeck player on Raspberry Pi platform is the ultimate player. This means that you have to buy this hardware to get the experience. The Windows and Android apps are free but have less functionality. I would prefer the same feature support on all platforms/Yodeck players. Maybe consider to charge a one-time fee for the player apps to enable developers to create the same feature support on all platforms. Review Source Jeremy B. Before Yodeck we were using a computer connected to a display but I was impossible to remote manage it easily. Pros The fact that it was compatible with our existing raspberry pi was important. We did not have to buy new hardware. It was easy to setup and it's easy for use to manage our content that's changing daily without daily intervention. I can schedule everything that I want in advance and don't think about it again during the week. Cons Honestly everything is working for me as expected, it does what I want and it's easy to use. This became a problem when we got new servers and security settings. Getting the presentation to be editable and cast onto the lobby TV became time consuming and frustrating. I looked into software a company like ours could afford and found Yodeck. Now, it takes me minutes to make changes and updates on Yodeck. Cannot say how easy it is to use and IT approved because they don't need to fuss with it! Pros When I was searching for an inexpensive product to create what I envisioned a lobby presentation should be, Yodeck immediately caught my eye. I signed up for a free account to test out the ease of use and fell in love with it. There are so many widgets to help get information out there, and making your own layouts is even easier! Cons I have yet to find a feature that I don't care for, even my colleague is going to use a second screen to communicate safety information to employees in our break room. Reason for choosing Yodeck I chose this product for the low cost and the ease of use. It's a busy world out there and my time is better used elsewhere. Yodeck allows me to do that. For our needs, and our robust event calendar, Yodeck helps us keep our community informed of upcoming opportunities in an attractive and attention grabbing way. Not to mention, the ease of use, paired with many customizable options, Yodeck works very well for a multi screen solution that has different audiences throughout the week. Our favorite features include: content scheduling, playlist function and screen options. Cons The one glaring feature that could use improvement is the template library. The lack of options leave much to be desired. With that said, we make all graphics in house, so it’s not a deal breaker for us — might be for other business types. Pros I love that it is so easy to change interactive content through Yodeck. We are able to provide a better experience for those that enter our lobby due to the interactive content that we use through Yodeck. The developers of Yodeck have obviously worked hard to make the usability of Yodeck very high. When my IT Director trained me in how to use Yodeck, I was able to figure it out quickly. It is so simple to transfer images from my computer into the Yodeck system, and then see those images on our TV Lobby screen. I believe that Yodeck is a program that can easily be used by those who have a low amount of technology skills, to those who have a high amount of technolgy skills, to everyone in between! Pros I really like the ability to create and customize your own screen layout. I was looking for a software that would give me the capability to put multiple windows up to display different information groups in the company. Cons The player updating function seems to be a little buggy and slow, and it took almost a month for my player to show up after the day I ordered it, but other than that everything has been great thus far.
