Advertising events for college students nowadays, with all the new pressures and time constraints, can be really difficult. allows us to centralize messaging in each of our buildings based on content type/unit and students know where to get their info for the really important things, like major events or critical dates related to their experience on campus. We've had the product for years now, and there is no way that someone can do what Yodeck does better. Also, we went with the RasberryPi players from Yodeck, and to be honest that is such an easy route to go, especially if you are buying in large quantities like we did. Pros The ease of use is incredible, and it is WAY more intuitive than other solutions we've worked with. We have an enterprise account setup, and I have trained folks from the most tech savvy to the least resourceful, and they all love it. The interface is so easy, and they have been improving things every year as far as performance and integrations. Their tech staff also helped me with a really nuanced question a few years back and were awesome. And not to mention that the cost savings compared to what it would take to print and post similar sized signs and pay the staff to do it is significant, especially with us as a small school...value for the money is a real thing. Cons To be honest, very little. There are a few things like having to select date/time functions rather than inputting, but that is a programming thing to ensure there isn't an issue with that input. The customer service is superb for they were quick to assist and very responsive so I must give them a hand on helping us fix a few issues. Pros The best part about is the player because with other signages you have to chose from different devices that it supports which gets complicates with licenses, different platforms and additional costs. If we were to use a Windows machine there is security issues, updates, Windows licenses and etc. If you use Brightsign some has wifi and some do not then comes the interface which gets complicated. With Yodeck all of the complicated hardware is removed for their player is very simple, cost effective and easy to setup. Cons There are 2 things that might need to be known. 1. since there is no need to update anything on the Pi, the platform could had been even smaller. 2. player speed, flipping between playlist could be better but this is a Pi afterall so this is not really a complaint just a wish.
