" April 9, 2026 5.0 Overall, this has been the best document generation tool I have ever used. They are constantly improving their technology and are very interactive with their customers. Pros Conga Composer is an incredibly powerful document generation tool. While there is a slight learning curve, once it is configured...it is very easy to use! It has a broad range of integration capabilities. Between templates, document management, and document signing...there really isn't anything it can't do well for folks. Integrations to services like Salesforce make it very well rounded for things like contracts, agreements, or legal documents. From prefilled data to electronic signatures, it does it all! Cons It does come with a cost and is a little tricky to configure properly. Their support is superior and they do provide a great deal of attention though. Whether you need to pull data from 10 different objects, generate 500 invoices at once (Batch), or automate an NDA the second a field changes (Trigger), Conga has a tool for it. Stability with Scale: Once a solution is properly built, it is incredibly reliable for high-volume enterprise needs. It handles the "spaghetti data" of a complex CRM better than almost anyone else. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company. Pros It was OK, simple to use and provided basic functionality. It satisfied our requirement for combining multiple documents into a single pdf. Cons Multiple attempts to meet with client support, only for them to be late to a meeting which had to be at 5:30 am my time. Also, very onerous contractual terms and no understanding from Conga. Our consultant recommended it and it works for us, even if developing solutions can be a bit tricky. Their customer service has always been responsive and helpful. Pros Set it up once and then the hard work is done. Easy to update templates. Easy for users to both generate documents and use the solutions (in our case, sending the customized letter that was generated attached to a customized email.) Pros Integration with SFDC is good. When it works it's smooth and gets to clients and contacts effectively. FAQ & Reading literature is extensive and helpful for specific issues. Cons Integration with SFDC is good, but doesn't come with a lot of early, out-of-the-box power. It's rather complex to implement and we required additional services to assist in doing so. Difficult for a smaller company to execute and even the developers stuggled (3 months of issues) to get it up and running properly.For the price, this product needs to be far easier to use, easy to try and easier to buy. The limit of like 10 licenses + 5 for Conga Sign assumes a very large staff doing more than most companies want their teams to be doing in 30-50 employee companies. It serves our purpose to generate and store relevant documents needed for our partners. Pros We leverage Conga in conjunction with Salesforce. Conga is fantastic at both aggregating the right documents based on indicated the criteria presented, but it also serves our purpose of Document storage and providing scalable version control around our documents. Cons While the tool itself is fantastic and serves our needs, support needs to step its game up. Cases aren't responded to in a timely manner, and the solutions provided tend to be rather Lackluster, to a point where we generally find the solution ourselves before support does. Pros The most impactful features of conga document generation is the content management system where we can choose the template for campaign management and email management. Along with that other features like digital and electronic signature comes quite handy at times. Last but not the least the document storage facilities. Cons The quality of electronic signature and digital signature is not that perfect when we used to compare with other competitors of conga document generation. The files are stored in the cloud and can be used from anywhere. We can sign a document online which is a unique feature to have. Pros The flexibility in creating a document is very good, as it allows us to generate documents in any format. The file sharing system is good and allows us to share big files which can't be shared via mail. There is a collaboration feature that helps in working on documents along with the team in real-time. Cons The interface is clunky, and the users feel a lot of difficulties while using this tool. The documentation is very confusing and the tutorials doesn't help much either. Mainly, Endowment Reports, Gift Receipts, Donor Profile Reports. All are working properly and we like to generate the documents automatically and manually. Pros Salesforce and Conga integration is great. We can easily access to CRM data and generate the documents via Conga solutions. Also, creating Conga Template is easy. We like to use the dynamic template depends on our conditions! Mostly, configurations in Conga is great! Cons I would like to add Conga Document Generation Buttons on reports. September 15, 2022 4.0 Overall our users found it very frustrating to use and many stopped due to the limitations of working with the PDF format only. The content library was difficult to use. Any content added to the Conga platform was converted to HTML format, so even when downloaded, it was difficult to work with. Conga and Microsoft office products do not work together. Pros The tool did produce an attractive and well formatted proposal. Making most updates was easy. Cons We were told that the proposal would easily convert to a word document, which never happened so this was a challenge when clients needed a word document from us. Tables or excel type formats were extremely difficult to incorporate into the document. The content library didn't offer any format for organizing, only searching. Anytime we attempted to send our proposals out of the tool, we were not confident that our client would receive it, so we stopped using this component of the tool. I don't like how I cannot ask the SME's/Experts assigned to me for help with the unique conga tools we use, and that they push methods that spend a lot of money- "just buy an annual subscription and we'll build it for you!". No thanks. We are already paying a ton of money for this, why is it so complex to set up! Pros The end result is an instant crowd pleaser. Our users are VERY happy when we have a mature solution. Cons Setting up solutions- we have a number of different use cases and every solution is so different. I also hate deploying solutions (not really possible). Pros Automation using Setting parameters one time in a button links which operates for million of records. Automation in Batches. Automation without Button Clicks. Integrations with different apps. point and click tool. can support esignatures. can support multiple delivery options. supported in salesforce lightning and can operates from lightning pages. Cons cant support multiple delivery options in a single transaction in batches. Reason for choosing Conga Composer Conga Quote Generations and Conga Invoice Generations are products of Salesforce and they only supports objects of CPQ and Billing Package.they are already purchased by client but on project work we needs to implement pro forma Invoice on order object which is not a billing not CPQ object so it was not supported and we switched to Conga composer to fulfil needs.Also for batch automation and E-signatures compatibility with multiple e-sign tools we decided to purchase conga composer. Cons As a standalone application, it felt dated. Also, we had complaints from some customers that they couldn't sign the document, but it very well could have been user error. Pros The best thing is probably the flexibility that Ms Office merge templates provide with the help of conga. Also lots of support materials available to help admins customize the solution Cons The least favourite part is the speed of document generation.
