Founder Design Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Reliable ERP for client website integrations" September 15, 2026 4.0 My experience with Sage 100 has mostly been from the implementation and integration side. We have had clients who were already using Sage for their business operations, and while redesigning or developing their websites we needed to connect the web experience with their existing Sage setup. For those projects it worked well as the back-office system for keeping products, inventory, customer information and orders organized. There is definitely a learning curve, especially if you come from modern web and SaaS tools, but after the initial setup the system has been stable and predictable. Overall, I see it as a strong option for established small and mid-sized businesses that need solid accounting and operational functionality and do not mind a more traditional interface. Pros We have worked with Sage 100 on a few client projects where their existing ERP needed to be connected with a new website or e-commerce experience. What I liked most was how dependable it was once the integration was properly configured. Product, inventory, customer and order data could be kept organized in one central system, which made the web side much easier to manage. It also offers a good amount of flexibility for businesses that already have established operational processes. Cons The biggest downside for me is that the product feels quite traditional compared with newer cloud-based platforms. Some integration and configuration tasks require more technical knowledge than you might initially expect, and the interface can take some time to understand when you are not using Sage every day. Once everything is set up it works reliably, but getting there is not always as straightforward as with more modern SaaS products. Review Source BS Belinda S. Accounting Construction Used the software for: 2+ years ### "General Review " May 20, 2026 4.0 As a Sage 100 Contractor user for 8.5 years I really enjoy this program. I have experience with many other programs and this one is not too hard and not too easy. Set up of Vendor/Clients is easy. The transaction windows are easy to use.Training someone knew is not to hard. Pros The ability to control your transaction number. This is huge because I can know instantly what type of transaction I am looking at based on the number sequence. Secondly, is the dynamic ability to make changes and corrections. Very easy. Customer Support is readily available and the new IA interface isn't too bad. Secondary level support usually answers quickly. LOVE the fact we can add our pdf's/Excel directly into the program and very easily transfer to Excel or Word for further working. The budget process through to progress billings is a good and efficient process for our Project Managers and Accounting Teams. Cons Limiting the users from accessing modules can be time consuming. Setting up templates per module also has to be done per user. The upgrade of the program is times consuming when we have to do them. It is based on the size of your files but I can take 2 hours just for the first step in the process because our file is large. The time and material billing section needs work and we don't utilize it because it isn't efficient. Years ago we added on Scanco Multibin because we needed this functionality and Sage did not have it. Now there are MANY flaws causing us hundreds hours of work to fix because of errors in expiration dates and quantities in Multibin vs Sage. Pros It's better than Quickbooks. It has importing functionality; Bills of Materials; ability for Production work orders. Cons Reporting lacks adequate options for exporting to Excel to review and analyze data. Upgrades require too much labor - requiring install on new server and data transfer. Sage did not work with third parties (Scanco) to make sure that their products still worked in the upgrade (Production Management). Review Source MF Megan F. It is mostly easy to use, though it does need help with setup and reports. Pros How the Project Management part of the system integrates into the Accounting part of the system. It gives to the freedom of being as detailed as you need with tracking your projects. While simplifying your accounting. Cons The system can be rigid when it comes to making mistakes. Some small issues can blow up into big ones without much effort on the part of the user. Pros The software is very stable: crashes are practically nonexistent. Its performance and speed make our daily work significantly easier. The system is very clearly structured and the view can be easily customized to individual needs. The system developer contacts are very easy to reach and we feel well supported. Cons Highly detailed processes, perfectly tailored to our needs. Can be implemented with considerably less effort and expertise. Senior Accountant Accounting Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Serial number tracking saved us during an audit" August 12, 2026 4.0 Didn't expect inventory tracking to be the feature that actually saved us during a recall, but being able to trace lot numbers back to specific customers meant we handled it in a day instead of a week of digging through spreadsheets. Interface feels old fashioned, not going to pretend otherwise, but the core accounting and inventory pieces have held up solid for a growing business like ours. Pros Wouldn't have guessed this would matter as much as it did but the serial and lot number tracking on inventory saved us during a supplier recall last year, we could pull up exactly which batch went to which customer instead of scrambling through paper records. Also use Visual Integrator a lot for pulling data in from our old system, way less manual entry than I expected going in. Cons The interface still feels dated compared to newer cloud tools, some screens look like they haven't changed much since the MAS 90 days, took new hires a bit to get used to the layout. I have several clients who use it, and they're all quite happy with it. There IS a bit more of a learning curve to it if you've never worked with an accounting program before, but if you have some basic accounting knowledge, then it's fairly intuitive. Pros Performs well, gives great reports and such. Cons It's a bit more difficult to understand than some of its more pedestrian brethren. So many simple things that would make transaction processing and reconciliation much easier. Pros Ease of use. Straight-forward transaction processing (for most). Small learning curve. Use of Microsoft Query to get data. All reports are in Crystal Reports and can be modified, as well as create new reports easily. Cons A couple of samples: 1) Bank reconciliation module should create any transaction that posts to a general ledger cash account. Such as a journal entry, not just transaction entry. 2) Lack of comment detail and other fields to the GL. For example, posting Receipt of Goods/Receipt of Invoice has no reference to the PO#. 3) Banking integration (need to do like Quickbooks). Review Source ST Scott T. The Best thing is that they have realized how loyal customers are to Sage100 and have decided to continue supporting and building on the current product to make it better. Pros It has capabilities in manufacturing finally with Production Management and also is constantly adding new products and recognizes that if someone else already does something better that they can add it to the Sage lineup and not have to re-create the wheel.
