The software offered all the functionality that was needed to the team. Pros What I liked best about Sage 100 was the value and the support offered. The software met all my reporting needs. Cons What I liked least about Sage 100 was that it did not offer an cloud based services for remote access for myself and the team. I’ve found that running reports is a seamless process, allowing me to generate the exact data I need quickly and efficiently. On top of the software's performance, their customer service is consistently great, providing prompt and helpful support whenever questions arise. Invoicing is easy and check runs are smooth. It is easy to post payments, and it is in the cloud now which is great. Cons The only thing I do not like about Sage 100 is that their job cost module does not have a lot of characters for comments. Project manager Food Production Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "An all in one solution to accountancy and orders" January 27, 2026 3.0 In the end we kept using Sage for a long time for our accountancy side o0f the business. our accountant was fully trained on this and was able to train others so it made sense. We went and got alternative softwarew for the placing and receiving orders side of the business. If you did just want to get one piece of software though, it can do it all. Pros We used Sage 100 in two ways. We used it for the accountancy side and we also used it as our ordering software. As an accountancy package it was great. It took me a little bit longer to learn than some other programmes but in it's defence it was the first software of this type I had ever used. It served more than one functiona s a business when we started. Cons When it came to using it as our ordering software (both orders coming in and PO's for purchases) it seemed quite a long process compared to software we have used since which is specifically tailored to this function. It has now evolved into Sage 50 and into Sage 100. This program still out does the accounting principles of other programs. Thank you Sage! Pros Sage 100 uses GAAP, generally accepted accounting principles, in every small business this is a must use tool. Sage has provided the program to the school system as educational partners. I know several past students who now use Sage in their daily lives because they learned the program in high school Cons Sometimes the program is difficult to install in a school setting in our lab environment. With that being said I fully understanding the licensing is a difficult thing to keep track digitally. Regular product releases keep the software up to date and contributed to its capabilities. Pros I love the extensive capabilities of the system for not only the financial functions, but also for the robust operational capabilities that are present. I especially like the production management and inventory planning capabilities Cons I would like to see the coming AI enhancements to come quicker to allow for more insights to be gained from the extensive data that is in the system. The Best thing is that they have realized how loyal customers are to Sage100 and have decided to continue supporting and building on the current product to make it better. Pros It has capabilities in manufacturing finally with Production Management and also is constantly adding new products and recognizes that if someone else already does something better that they can add it to the Sage lineup and not have to re-create the wheel. I wish there was a customer support number Review Source SS Stosh S. owner Sporting Goods Used the software for: 2+ years ### "To many steps to do simple daily process" May 16, 2020 4.0 Sage works, support companies and eide bailey sold it to us did not do there due diligence in my opinion selling us the software we needed that would handle what we do. Integration problems and being told to use a certain card processing that did not work without a bridge with fusion costing us more money and have had it out 4 times in the last week. Pros The accounting portion is probably the most complete. Cons To me there is several cons we have found after the purchase. My biggest complaint being the amount of time it takes to do simple process. Example: when we have price changes and adjustments to make, it can not be done from a central place. As a dealer that is retail and wholesale both, we have to change retail in one screen, wholesale on another, and finally cost in a completely different location. When you have 30k items this takes 4 times longer than other systems. My other major complaint is dealing with several different companies to get everything you need to support sage for daily operation. We have experienced finger pointing back and forth from the support companies of whose problem it is and nothing gets corrected for months. As I say we are over 2 years from our sign up and it has been a multitude of issues and we are still not complete. Delays on large orders put into fusion portion are a time killer. Pros What I really like about this sage is it comprehensive accounting features, and a strong financial reporting capabilities. Cons what I like least about this sage is it's quite expensive, customer support is dire (when you can actually get anyone) and it's quite difficult to use if you are not an expert in accountancy. Owner Accounting Used the software for: 2+ years ### "SAGE 100 is a Winner" July 27, 2021 5.0 Overall, Sage has helped with running our business and keeping everything straight - I would say my (our) experience with Sage has been a positive one. Pros It is a very robust package of modules - each module is for a specific task - general ledger, AP, AR, Inventory, etc. Once you have your company setup you assign your staff to be responsible for one of the modules and they become the expert in the module. All modules are integrated with the other modules so there is no need to upload and run sync programs - it is all done for you. Cons Sometimes the modules are not as intuitive as other modules - I can only guess different software designers designed different modules and therefore the nuances of writing logical code differ from individual to individual. This makes more a bit of discontinuity across the modules. Somethings a module will crash due to some parameter not having a specific number or letter in the database (don't even know how that would happen!) and you cannot diagnose it yourself - you have to call customer service. It will cost you money if you don't have a CS plan and chew up at least an hour of your time. However, in fairness it does not happen too often. Review Source Ezechiel Narcisse A. With my busy schedule and the number of clients I'm servicing, I don't have the time to keep track of all my business finances. Sage 100cloud is the perfect solution for me. I can track my cash in and out, see where I'm at with my payables and receivables and create reports for my accountant. I also use the supply chain module to track my suppliers and create an automated purchase order system. Sage 100cloud is a great solution for businesses that don't have time to keep up with their finances. Pros I was looking for a new cloud-based solution to manage my accounting and finances because my old program was not able to handle my business' complicated processes, and I found Sage 100cloud. This solution helps simplify your finances by providing a single source of data for items like cash management, financial procedures and supply chain management. You can manage your entire business from anywhere on any device, so I can check my finances from my phone or tablet. Cons I haven't really had any issues with this product so far. The ability to customize your invoices to include Logos and what is required to be shown on your invoices is essential. The ability to setup your fonts and how you want reports to print and look makes it very personable. Cons I would like the ability to copy a Journal entry to reuse as opposed to saving as a stored entry. Coping entries on the fly is much faster.
