Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Easy way of recording documents onto quickbooks, kashflow etc" April 18, 2017 5.0 Pros My clients often confused me when they tried to key their own items, posting entries to the wrong accounts, incorrect amounts,etc. Autoentry allows me to view the item and post it in a matter of seconds. The image stays there to be reviewed at a later date if required all my work can now be done from my office as I no longer have to visit clients to pick up receipts saving me lots of time. Great free support team. Cons A bit confusing getting the account/app set up, but they have a good support team to talk you through it step by step and the support is free. Owner Accounting Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "AutoEntry is a time saver for bookkeeper and accountants" December 29, 2017 4.0 Pros Time saving is an excellent pro as to enter bank statements or invoices manually can take half a day easily whereas the time to scan them instead takes around half an hour to 45 mins. Works very well with Quickbooks too or you can export to an excel file just as easily! Customer service is excellent with staff getting back to you very quickly. Cons Sometimes takes a few tries to get the files to process but not really a problem. Not very clear on the difference between this and alternatives. Review Source HP Hemant P. I like the fact that I can share credits across clients and that I can just purchase as and when plus I'm not tied in to any long-term contract. I have recommended this software to many of my clients has they get ready for Making Tax Digital. Cons The only problem I had at first was when sending VAT invoices to QBO the rounding was wrong but I think this has been sorted. Bought some credits. Asked the representative to cancel. He said I should do it online. Online there was no such option during the trial period. Spoke to representative again, he said I should email. I wrote a plain email asking to cancel. He replied why do you want to cancel? I did not see the email and 3 months on they still charge and refuse to refund even when its evident the program has not been used. I didn't want a discussion, jus to cancel. I could not have put it clearer. Pros Not a lot to say here. The experience was tainted by the lack of customer service Cons It only reduced the data entry by 30%. We've found it to be very accurate, and very quick in processing whatever documents we throw at it. The credits pricing structure also means we are not losing value on monthly subscriptions as with competing apps in this market. Cons It would be great if AutoEntry could process supplier statements into Xero - this would be a time-saver for certain clients. Review Source JV Joey V. For me the standard out feature is the ability to read a PDF bank statement and convert this into an upload file. Cons There is a small time delay between entering the information and receiving the files to upload. Scanned documents need to be high quality for the OCR to read them successfully. Automatically includes a pdf copy of the supplier invoice in QuickBooks Cons Although the preview (prior to publishing) shows item quantities and unit rates, these do not get published in QuickBooks Online therefore the Stock quantities are not updated. I had \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] today and she was excellent again Pros To be able to enter clients sales to meet HMRC guidelines. The chat people are very good. Cons Very often the correct name on the invoice is not correct, even though typed and not handwritten. A lot of times i have to contact the chat line as the system seems to stop running. I think it should be cheaper. Cons Once you have highlighted what needs to be uploaded, you cannot cancel it. It will scanned and checked, and then rejected after Autoentry has checked all the information.
