### "Still not polished enough, but great value for money"

March 2, 2026

4.0

I started using Office when Office didn't exist. Separate programs, like Word, in the DOS era. It grew, consolidated into a bunch of separate programs that talked with OLE (God save us!). Nowadays, the experience across the suite is much smoother, but there are a lot of rough edges to fix. For example, PowerQuery is a nice addition, but it needs to be polished a lot so the integration with Excel is better. Things like everyday work while moving the cursor are a pain if you are not accustomed to (try to move the cursor to edit a formula and you'll get mixed results). Microsoft needs to continue optimizing the interface, removing old features that no one uses, maybe using a plugin system, and consolidating the interface. Outlook is a good example of what Microsoft needs to do (create a new Outlook from scratch), but using the wrong way (removing useful features). As of today, if you switch from Classic to New Outlook, you'll miss lots of features, and you'll feel like a Guinea pig because Microsoft uses you to do the testing, adding or removing features. We are now everyday beta testers without that name.

Pros

Impressive feature set, from simple to very complex, with an excellent value for the money. Good integration with new technologies, like cloud for file storage and file sharing, and a variety of systems to use it (Mac, Windows, Web, Android)

Cons

When a bug appears, it takes a lot of time to get fixed. Some implementations are very old and should be removed. Some features need proper implementation in newer systems. UI is a mixed bag of new and old technologies.

Alternatives considered

[Google Workspace](https://www.capterra.com/p/247901/Google-Workspace/)

Reason for choosing Microsoft 365

Still the preferred choice for compatibility, general usage, etc. Also the features available on Office are far superior to what Google has to offer.

### "Microsoft 365 review"

March 13, 2026

5.0

Microsoft 365 has been a solid move for us overall. We switched to get away from managing individual Microsoft licenses, which had become a real headache. Having everything bundled under one subscription has made things much easier to manage and more predictable from a cost and admin standpoint.

Pros

Simplified licensing compared to standalone Microsoft products, all the core tools we use are in one place (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint). Works well across devices and supports remote work Strong collaboration tools, especially for email, meetings, and shared documents. Regular updates without having to manage version upgrades

Cons

Setup and configuration can be more complex than expected, especially around security and permissions. Some features change frequently, which can be frustrating for users. Costs can add up as you add users or higher‑tier licenses Not everything is intuitive, particularly for non‑technical users

Switched from

[Microsoft Outlook](https://www.capterra.com/p/227138/Microsoft-Outlook/)[Microsoft Word](https://www.capterra.com/p/227146/Microsoft-Word/)[Microsoft Excel](https://www.capterra.com/p/176574/Excel/)

We switched to Microsoft 365 because managing individual Microsoft licenses was time‑consuming and difficult to keep up with. Microsoft 365 simplified licensing, made costs more predictable, and bundled the tools we already use into one platform.

### "Powerhouse or paperweight.. the choice between paid and free"

March 2, 2026

3.0

If you’re on the paid version and happy to be locked in for a lifetime then M365 is the one for you. If you’re after free, in my experience, you’re better off with going with another product

Pros

Paid version of M365: M365 is a powerhouse when it comes to utilising the key products they offer in Word and Excel for example, especially when combined with copilot. Outlook handles emails perfectly and the ability to share files with the click of a few buttons gives ease of use and makes M365 a tier 1 product.

Cons

The free version: M365’s free version is an absolute nightmare. Being restricted beyond anything productive, forced ads, aggressive reminders to upgrade to paid package. Once paid you’re essentially locked in. The subscription model for M365 is flawed. If you’re using free.. Google is a better option

### "Microsoft 365 - A Power for Business"

January 11, 2026

4.0

Overall, it is a reliable solution that consistently meets my needs. It simply works. You can find what you need easily.

Pros

The subscription model offers excellent ROI by bundling industry-standard apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with robust cloud services. It eliminates the need for expensive on-premises hardware and ensures I always have access to the latest feature updates without extra upgrade costs. The interface is intuitive and familiar, making adoption easy for anyone who has used Office products before. The seamless integration between apps—like opening a SharePoint file directly in Word or attaching a OneDrive link in Outlook—significantly reduces friction in my daily workflow. Exchange Online provides a reliable, secure backend for all my communication. Features like shared calendars, 100GB mailbox storage, and superior spam filtering make managing high volumes of email effortless across all my devices. Sharing is granular and secure. I can easily generate links with specific permissions (view-only, edit access, or password protection) for both internal colleagues and external clients, ensuring data stays safe while collaborating in real-time. Document Management: It serves as a central repository for all my work. The ability to use version history to restore previous drafts and the powerful search functionality across the entire ecosystem means I never lose track of important documents. The platform handles file compatibility seamlessly. It automatically converts legacy files (like old .doc formats) to modern standards and allows for easy export to PDF and other formats directly within the apps, saving me from using third-party conversion tools. While they handle critical issues effectively, the extensive self-help library and community forums are often just as valuable for quick troubleshooting.

Cons

While the support team handles major issues well, they can occasionally be inconsistent when addressing minor concerns.

### "The good and the bad of Microsoft 365"

February 12, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience is good; I can reset passwords if the user forgets them, and it's easy to manage and install on workstations.

Pros

What I liked most was that it is compatible with Windows and Mac, as well as the management of licenses, creation, modification and deletion of users.

Cons

The Authenticator application crashes a lot; it suddenly stops sending notifications, and I have to reset the MFA parameters so that users can configure their account.

### "Essential Work Tool"

April 2, 2026

5.0

Pros

Microsoft 365 is a great all-around tool for work or school needs. The apps included in 365 are essential for work and helpful for file sharing.

Cons

Microsoft 365 offers many apps, but I'm not sure how to use all of them. I don't even know what they all do. It would be nice to have more training videos or courses on some of the lesser known apps.

### "Value for money with extensive options"

March 17, 2026

4.0

Overall, office is easy to use and gets you a lot of options for your business. You have to put a lot of effort to use them though

Pros

I like most products of Microsoft office, they give you good value for your money, but only if you dive deep to utilize all functions that come with the service.

Cons

If you need to get into an account that is locked, they make it almost impossible to do so. I also do not enjoy outlook and its layout. There are other services that have better customization out there

### "365 Days a Year Isn't Enough for Microsoft 365"

March 3, 2026

4.0

I log-in every morning, and from there, open all my necessary files. I primarily use the browser versions of OneDrive, and about 50% of the time use the browser version for everything besides Outlook. It's easy to manage, easy to navigate, and easy to see what documents, images, videos, etc. have been shared with you, as well as what you have to do for the day.

Pros

I love the connected nature of Microsoft 365. The ability to log in to one portal, and access everything from Word to OneDrive has been immensely helpful. It's allowed for much easier file sharing through Teams, email management through Outlook, document management through Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. It's been a good value for the cost, partially due to how easy it is to use and learn/teach.

Cons

I don't love the browser-based version, as I prefer Desktop applications, as I find they are more feature rich. Image and video management could be improved slightly, as sometimes, very large files seem to get compressed.

### "All You Need when You're On the Go"

November 24, 2025

4.0

Overall positive, I like have access to my files and documents on the go. Being able to know for sure that everything will be there on whatever device I use is great comfort. I wish some smaller details were polished, but overall it's a good service.

Pros

I like that it is native to our tech stack and that works very well between phone, tablet, and laptop. I enjoy having the ability to access my files on the go and ensure that they are up to date and work properly. I also like that I can quickly and securely share files with members of my team.

Cons

It's hard to tell what is what service in Microsoft because there are so many programs that intersect. I don't always love the formatting changes that happen when I open documents in a desktop versus in its native app. A lot can change, which can be frustrating.

### "Office 365: Reliable 365 24/7."

January 9, 2026

5.0

I have been using the product in my Chiropractic practice in some form or another for the last 22 years. The program package allows me do everything from book keeping to daily office notes and all my professional correspondence. I have been appreciative that 365 has kept the same look and interface for the most part over the years to make the transition towards upgrades and modernization easy for those that grew up on Office. Reliability is essential for most office settings and 365 has never disappointed on what it delivers year after year.

Pros

I have always found Microsoft to be user friendly. From the initial versions of office to the current vehicle of 365. I have found it is a one stop program for all my office needs. I use Word for my documents and patient notes, Excel for my book keeping and tax documents and love the capabilities of PowerPoint for my health lectures. As times have changed, options like google docs have provided alternatives, but I find Microsoft 365 has always been a more reliable product. The file extensions never provide an issue with communications of my healthcare vendors. The compatibility features seem to flawlessly correct issues while file sharing with others using older versions of the programs. Maybe I'm a creature of habit or its Microsoft 365's superiority, but I haven't seen an all in one office product that would steer me in another direction.

Cons

I love the product's reliability and capabilities without complaint. If I had to nitpick and look for a flaw, I would say the change in the subscription. The old days of Office you would by the product and have your license key. Computer upgrades, operating system changes etc would allow you to install the product for years. The current subscription is yearly, so its costing you on an annual basis compared to the Microsoft Office days of yesterday. That would be what I like least about the product.

### "Wide ranges of application - only with Microsoft 365 "

February 8, 2026

5.0

My overall experience using Microsoft 365 is very good. It provides wide range of application which can be used daily for professional or academic tasks. This tool is very efficient for sending out mails, document creations, communication, collaboration and storing data. Highly recommend to every student for their study purposes.

Pros

Microsoft 365 is one of the most important software. It includes multiple apps like word, outlook, excel, power point and one drive. Everything is covered in just one subscription and i love all the features it provides. This applications are great for students as it has high storage capacity and features. Microsoft 365 is very easy to use, cheap and not much use of customer support.

Cons

I have to login multiple times in day in Microsoft 365 which is little frustrating. However, it is great for privacy and security.

### "Microsoft 365 Review"

November 12, 2025

5.0

Ms 365 has made our team more productive and efficient since we can all utilise the apps we need on our day to day basis in one platform. Ms 365 has everything our team needs, from emailing platform, calendar scheduling, document creation and management, collaboration, note taking, content management, the list goes on and on. This is a perfect platform and it can be used by any team in any organisation since it fits perfectly with almost every use case, with a few exceptions, but it’s a perfect tool for most organisations and I love using it. It’s easy to use and in most cases, teams don’t require extensive training to figure out their way around Ms 365, but if they need to, it’s a well documented platform and it’s easy to find answers to questions and the support is also good.

Pros

Talk about an all in one solution, Ms 365 is exactly that. Microsoft 365 brings together all the essential Apps and platforms within the same solution. Think about Ms Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point, Ms Teams, Outlook, Ms Teams, OneNote etc, the list goes on and on. You can do everything without Ms 365, from sending emails, creating meetings, having meetings virtually, manage documents, manage appointments, and you can easily collaborate with your different teams. The data flow is just perfect if you’re a Microsoft user, and this makes life 10x easier as you don’t have to jump across different platforms from different vendors, you have everything you need in one place

Cons

There is nothing I have found to be a con in regards to Ms 365. It’s perfect and has made our team more productive and efficient

### "Microsoft 365 Software"

September 18, 2025

5.0

Everything within Microsoft 365 is all integrated and can be integrated with outside platforms as well, such as Teams for example. There are many options Microsoft 365 has to offer, which has enhanced my companies overall experience with the software. I appreciate within Outlook how it will notify you over email when an outside domain emails you by notifying you with an “external” text box on the email. This has helped me to save myself from accessing spam links.

Pros

Microsoft 365 is totally worth the money due to the amount of tools/features it has to offer. For example, some of the products I utilize on a daily basis are Excel, Word, and Outlook. Microsoft 365 is how I organize my data, communicate with team members through email, or send and receive files. My organization has been using Microsoft 365 for years and they offer a one month trial of the products before having to actually pay for the subscription. Microsoft 365 is a great, easily accessible software, which I have found is great for large companies to utilize.

Cons

I’d say the biggest con to this software is the constant updates. I understand this can happen with any software, however, I’ve come to realize sometimes the updates they are making are not beneficial. I have found to prefer the previous versions before the new updates came into place. Specifically, the updates they made within Outlook over the years.

### "A Must-Have Productivity Suite for Students"

June 26, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Microsoft 365 has been very positive. It helps me stay organized, collaborate easily, and submit assignments on time. The seamless integration between Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote means I can manage my academic life from one place. Despite the few limitations, it’s a powerful and reliable tool for any student.

Pros

Microsoft 365 offers a complete suite of tools that are essential for student productivity. I particularly like how OneDrive allows me to save and access my documents from any device, which is perfect for working between campus and home. The real-time collaboration in Word and PowerPoint makes group projects much easier. The included grammar checker and templates also save me a lot of time when working on assignments or presentations.

Cons

The main drawback I’ve experienced is the subscription cost, which can be a burden for students if they don’t have access through their university. Also, some features are only available when connected to the internet, which can be inconvenient during offline work. Occasionally, syncing issues happen with OneDrive if the connection is unstable.

I love the effortless seam-ability across platforms--that I can start on my computer, then pick up exactly where I left off on my phone.

Pros

The Microsoft ecosystem is awesome! Microsoft 365, merely compliments that existing awesomeness as a means to meet productivity

Cons

### "Microsoft 365 - AI Mode"

January 26, 2026

5.0

It has evolved from a "suite of office apps" into a unified, AI-driven operating system for work. For most users, the experience is no longer about opening Word or Excel; it's about interacting with a central intelligence layer (Copilot) that moves with you across every task.

Pros

Microsoft Copilot has moved from a shiny add-on to the core of the experience. Users love that the AI isn't siloed; it has "cross-app intelligence. "Agent Mode: Users are now using "AI Agents" to automate repetitive chores like processing invoices or summarizing long email threads into actionable To-Do lists.

Cons

Navigating the difference between Business Standard, Premium, E3, and E5 remains a headache. It’s easy to end up "over-licensed," paying for high-end security features your team isn't actually utilizing.

### "A Complete Productivity Suite with some Management Challenges"

December 4, 2025

4.0

Overall, Microsoft 365 provides a comprehensive suite for productivity and collaboration. Its cloud-first approach and integration across tools make it ideal for modern work environments, though administrative complexity and cost can be challenging.

Pros

The seamless integration across apps like Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams is a major advantage. Cloud-based access through OneDrive makes collaboration easy, and real-time co-authoring improves productivity for distributed teams.

Cons

Managing licenses and permissions can be complex for larger organizations. Occasional syncing issues with OneDrive and the need for frequent updates can disrupt workflows. Some advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans.
