The name of the system suits it well. Guru, by definition, a teacher. Akin to its moniker "Guru", the program stores information well, sorts it out clearly, makes it readily available for both discussion and steadily teaches those who rely on it with its compact design. Readily available information at the type, click and enter of an input, Guru makes itself worth its services. Far from being the perfect tool however, it still lives to its reputation and continues to be reliable to every account that requires its use.

Pros

Guru has been a stable knowledgebase tool for both beginners and tenured employees, account and business managers, Quality Analysts and Subject Matter Experts in every process-outsourced business. Its sleek and quick design as a collection of cards enables any supporting agent to briefly discuss, update and highlight any internal and external changes in information and anything regarding process-wise it allows teams to digress updates flexibly and precisely. By being readily available and easily accessible with a clear set of "access" to each level of employee Guru has become - in my opinion - a staple for any business that requires a specific set of skill that is easily discussed, shared and utilized to better assist the consumers it serves and the client that relies on it.

Cons

Guru's accessibility and openness have also made it 'too open' yet "too small" in my perspective. While this barely states that this is an onset compared to the good things that Guru has, it does complicate its use on an effective degree. Enough to confuse its users by being too available for its users. In a simpler sense, creators can simply create more and more cards, enough to confuse both beginner and tenured agents in the company. This can cause confusion as to what card to change when a company-wide update comes in, or what card to hide when a new change in the company's internal information pushes through.

My overall experience with Guru has been incredibly positive and if I transitioned into a new role, and my company didn't already use Guru as an LMS, I would petition for it.

Pros

I like the fact that it forces transparency. A Google doc can be privated between a single person, a group, a team, or a department. A Guru card is available to an entire organization - to my knowledge, there's no reason to actually private a card. Or, at least, I haven't seen it in the four years I've been using the card.

Cons

The search functionality when there are many cards within an organization is typically extremely lackluster. It's never as specific as I need it to be, and it can even pull up cards that are completely irrelevant. Very frustrating.

Pros

Reliable, with lots of possibilities in the documentation creation process, never saw it getting it's service down for any reason. Easy to update and share new information with the team. A incredible source for documentation, as we primarily use it on Support.

Cons

The search engine is a little crazy, sometimes you can't find the exact document your searching for, but it could also be an issue with the tags and titles inputted.

Unlocking knowledge silos: Before Guru, my team would be nearly blind to the knowledge held by other departments, and we had to message individual people to get answers, often resulting in being redirected to other people before finally finding the right answer. Making reliable information quick and easy to find: Before Guru, my team relied on a clunky knowledge base that was rarely used and even more rarely updated. Because we are a rapidly evolving startup, that made it so difficult to find current, accurate information that it was basically useless and we had to rely on memorizing information, asking others for institutional knowledge, or a "best guess" system. Seamlessly navigating conversations with clients: Because Guru is directly integrated in our daily tools, rapidly pulling up information and sharing it while on a call with a client is seamless and gives the impression that we know everything, which makes us look good!

Pros

Guru is intuitive, easy to learn and use, and simple to implement. My team consists of generalists who have to know a LOT of information, and Guru enables us to store and access that information in a way that has increased our effiency exponentially and made us better at our job. Every person on my team uses Guru every single day, and I don't think we could survive without it at this point! It has been fully integrated into our daily tasks.

Cons

We have not run into any downsides of the product itself, except for the cost per user.

Guru has been our longest knowledge base system, and the experience has been amazing there are aspects that can be improved but over all it helped us navigate through difficult interaction due to it's user friendly interface and having the option to set up your collection makes our life easier and find our commonly used articles

Guru card is easily giving us the correct resource based on the key word and we just have to be really mindful of the words that are being used and thorough navigation on the system.

Sometimes resources can be found inside another resource. So we just need to be specific and good at looking inside the resources

Guru is helping me on seeking the best resolution that I need to provide with the consumers. Not just the overview of how to resolve it, it also indicates the complete steps and all related cases regarding the concern.

Pros

One of the best things I liked the most with Guru is the Search feature. When it comes to seaching Guru, we can use tags, filters, quotations, and we can also combine all of those. Those tips will help us improve the overall Card finding experience. The other thing is creating a list of favorites which helps keep our Cards organized. Lastly, the real time updates with Guru Cards. These announcements will help us advisors to be all aligned regarding the latest process and procedures.

Cons

Actually, Guru is almost perfect for me and also for most of the advisors that are using it. I think one thing that I can suggest with it is regarding the acknowledgement receipt on updates and announcements. For acknowledging, they can justclick the 'I read it' button to acknowledge receipt. This means that you’ve understood the announcement or update that was communicated to you. My suggestion is if it is possible, please put at around 1-3 questions or knowledge check before the user is allowed to acknowledge the cards. In that case, we can make sure that all of us will actually read and understand all the updates that we need to learn.

Pros

I used Guru with a previous client to assist their customers with online orders. For me, Guru has been visually appealing, making tasks easier to manage. It is very user-friendly and easy to navigate.

There was nothing in particular that I disliked about the program, as it was a pleasant experience for me, to put it mildly.

I believe that Guru makes it much easier to roll out content when we need to be up to date. It is very intuitive and helps a lot in building a company/project's content library. It has some small flaws, but overall it does very well.

Pros

\- Simplified navigation with the use of keywords, making it quite easy to find an article. - Reading the updates when a Guru is updated and with the new or altered content highlighted, makes it much easier when we need to always be up to date.

Cons

I believe that the "My Library" session could be simplified. Every time we access it, instead of going to "Following" Gurus, it could directly open the folders that I created and saved my favorite Gurus.

It's sooo user friendly and full of super useful features that really help with governing your knowledge and instance. Anytime I wanted for a feature/functionality, it was being built before I could give the feedback!

Cons

The commenting feature. You weren't able to comment back and forth, JUST to the verifier... But they may have changed that recently.

Guru is state of the art. It is quick and easy to use and makes sharing information within your company very easy.

Pros

Guru in very easy to use and takes little to no training. It is very east to share files and links through Guru and it can integrate with many popular CRM programs.

Cons

I haven't ran into any issues yet but I will be sure to update my review if we do run into any issues.
