Overall our small all volunteer non profit has had no negative experiences with Zeffy, which is amazing. Every prior platform eventually had issues we had to work around, we also don't have complex needs. I can manage my donors, receive donations, create and schedule my newsletters and fundraising campaigns which can be correctly targeted, and now we're getting to sell event tickets as well!

Pros

Zeffy was easy to get started with. We were able to export out of mailchimp and into zeffy very quickly. It has saved us money on our monthly newsletter, and it integrates with our donation collection and donor management instead of multiple systems!

Cons

I do sometimes find it hard to figure out where a feature is, or how to properly use it. But we are a 100% volunteer based organization so if I were a professional I feel like I might have more knowledge or time to better understand some of the more advanced features and take advantage of them.

Zeffy is easy to use and the support is almost unreal! They PROACTIVELY reach out if they see you try something and it wasn't completed, to make sure you don't need assistance. Absolutely the best customer support I have ever seen.

Pros

I like that they are actually invested in helping nonprofits. They tailor their platform to the needs of non-profits. And they're just awesome people to work with!

Cons

NOTHING! There is absolutely NOTHING negative. I love Zeffy! I think more non-profits should use Zeffy!

CONSTANT 'updating' terms to the benefit of PayPal and the DETRIMENT of the nonprofit. Like charging their fees EVEN IF the donor was refunded. For example - an emergency fundraiser gets held for an animal needing urgent surgery. The animal dies and only a fraction of the cost is incurred so donors are offered to get their donations back. MOST will refuse and say put it towards the mission but often donors felt like they were just supporting THAT animal and ask for the money back. Not only does PayPal keep the TRANSACTION FEE (which I totally agree with that) but they keep the PERCENTAGE. If someone donates $1000, the fee is $20.80. So if the donor wants a refund, PayPal KEEPS that "percentage" even though 1.99% of $0 is $0. So the nonprofit PAYS $20 t PayPal for... nothing.

Zeffy is a homerun for all non-profits! It's very easy to use. When you have questions, the staff is very responsive. You won't regret using Zeffy!

Pros

We currently use a paid CRM (which we are cancelling soon), and are converting all our records to Zeffy. We have used it for donations and for tickets so far. The ease of use is incredible. The platform actually does MORE than the one we have been paying for. It's so incredible that its FREE!

Cons

I really currently don't have any cons per say. They are continuously looking for ways to improve the platform, and are open for your feedback on what your needs are, so that's really all that matters!

Three reasons - one the cost. Secondly, it keeps getting bought out by bigger companies, and the personal touch (customer service) became very difficult and really non-existent. Finally, who they used for credit card processing was not secure, and many scammers hitting our account, which caused them to turn off our links during peak usage.

It’s hard to pinpoint just one thing we love most about Zeffy. Whether it’s their zero-fee donation platform, ensuring our nonprofit keeps every penny contributed, or their powerful fundraising tools, Zeffy has transformed how we accept and process donations. Even the way they help us express gratitude to our generous supporters makes the entire experience seamless and rewarding.

Cons

While I believe there’s always room for improvement in any service, at the moment, I’m hard-pressed to find a flaw in Zeffy. They’ve been an invaluable partner to River Region Animal Rescue, and their outstanding customer service gives me full confidence that any future challenges will be resolved quickly and effectively.

It is not perfect, but for having no cost on our side, we will stick with Zeffy! Saving us $100s is worth a bit of extra work on my end.

Pros

I love that Zeffy is a user friendly, intuitive platform with a very small learning curve. We use it to fundraise for our PTA and it helps us put all of the money we raise, back into our school, instead of paying credit card fees. We have already saved over $200 in just 2 months due to not paying all of the fees we would pay on most other platforms. Also, the chat option has helped me find exact information in reports that I am looking for!

Cons

I wish I could filter and sort the reports a bit easier as far as custom questions go. We are using this for our PTA and the reports get a bit complicated when we are asking for student's names and their teacher. I also am confused by getting one email (not sure how) and then getting a second different email that the user manually types in....?

Wonderful. I highly recommend Zeffy for any non-profit organization !!!!! It has allowed us to collect monies, which are automatically deposited into our linked financial institution relieving our Directors/Officers of this responsibility.

Pros

The free Zeffy platform for non-profits is an amazing product. My non-profit is very small with a small budget, and so the no-pay of any platform fees (including credit card surcharges on monies collected) is a real benefit. In 2026, our non-profit wanted to move forward where on-line payments and ticket sales could be collected and tracked for annual membership dues as well as for paid and/or free ticketed events. A few features, we would like to highlight: 1) Zeffy's platform allows Administrators to restrict access to information by user profile. For example, sensitive financial data can be restricted by user profile 2) On-line payments are securely processed through the STRIPE platform and 3) You don't need to have a computer background to use Zeffy. Initially, creating events and our membership form took several hours to create in Zeffy due to the learning curve, but Zeffy's on-line help, chat box, and personal emails all resolved any obstacles encountered. I am technically challenged, but I was able to get our non-profit up and running on the Zeffy Platform. Zeffy has the capability to create event QR codes , which can be downloaded and used on marketing media. The Zeffy support team is AMAZING!

Cons

Do not with to find any fault with Zeffy, but it would be nice if Zeffy had the capability to use fundraising event content to create marketing FLYERS ... that could be printed . As is, one must cut and past content from Zeffy and paste it into Word or other software to create flyers. Also, if a few standard financial reports could be made available versus having to export data, I would find helpful. Regardless, of my wishes, ZEFFY is a Fantastic Product for non-profits!!!!

So far, it's been smooth sailing on all 3 of the nonprofits that I use Zeffy for. I love that the funds are automatically transferred on Mondays - no more manual transferring.

Pros

Well, no one can ignore the FREE part of their service. I am currently using them for 3 nonprofits of which I am treasurer: Hooksett Area Rotary Club, NH Gift-A-Meal, and Friends of the Hooksett Library. Zeffy is super easy to use, and we get to keep all of the donations. Setting up campaigns is very easy.

Cons

The initial setup is a bit tedious because of all the integrations you need to make with Stripe, but it's still very easy to do.

Anytime I don’t understand something it’s pretty easy to figure it out using their help guides. It’s really quite user friendly and self explanatory though! Overall we have had a great experience!

Pros

Zeffy has LOTS of options for non profits. We are a new non profit that supports our small school district, and we weren’t really sure what we were doing when we started fundraising. So far Zeffy is the only thing we have used, so we don’t know any different and we will not be changing because it has everything we need! Love that it sends out tax receipts for us automatically. Love alllllll the amazing settings for hosting an event and selling tickets- whole tables, early bird tickets/tickets with different release dates, etc. So many options to customize it to just what you need. And most of all, it doesn’t cost us a DIME so that all of our funding goes right to our mission!

Cons

There have just been a few small things like wishing on the donation form we could put in more than 4 preset amounts. Other than that, we don’t have much to complain about!

### "Too hard to believe, but it really was free!"

I was a first timer using it, but it went so well that I would not hesitate to use it again or recommend it to my non-profit friends. The support was probably the biggest positive. The learning curve was probably the least favorite. Maybe AI will help them come up with a better, more automated system. I found myself asking myself, "How do I do that?" but again support was quick and helpful

Pros

Obviously, it was free. I was concerned and didn't really believe it, but it was true. They make their money from ticket buyers leaving a donation. It provided LOTS of feedback about your sales, your ticket purchasers and more.

Cons

The learning curve was a little steep for a first timer, but I can't say enough good things about the speed and quality of the support. One time, they even recorded and sent me a video of exactly how to solve my problem. Another time, they just fixed it for me! I think if they automated the signup process by asking you a list of questions and then have it set up for you, that would be good.

My experience with Zeffy has been 100% positive. The customer service has been accommodating and very effective.

Pros

I like the fact that our charity receives 100% of donations made. I also appreciate how easy it has been for people who requested refunds for the voluntary donation made in error to get them, no questions asked!!

Cons

I wish Zeffy would integrate with Canva. I also wish that there were more editable settings, for instance font and background colors, for invitations. I also wish there was live customer service.

### "The Best Fundraising Platform - and Free!"

We were looking for a new campaign management service and I specifically wanted something easy to use from a technology side. We had our first event up and going within 15 minutes - great landing page, text link available to send to our Board Members and donors, automated email response to event participants, event ticket receipts emailed directly with QR codes, and more - all for free.

Pros

Zeffy's platform is incredibly easy to use and 100% free! The onboarding process is simple, and we already have funds being deposited into our account from the fundraising campaign we created. Love the look of everything we've created for our campaign with Zeffy - text link landing page for our event, email responses to participants, and more. Very easy to create beautiful landing pages for fundraising campaigns and emails. We also now have a database of attendees from our event and can easily keep in touch for future events.

Cons

Nothing. Everything has been wonderful and completely free. We have yet to find anything that we would recommend as a change and usually there's always some area to improve - not with Zeffy.

Very satisfied! I love the way that the info I need is clear and available right there on my home screen. The types of forms are great.

Pros

I love how easy it is to set up the forms, how clean the format looks on the user-end, and the fact that it is free!

Cons

Some customization features aren't available yet, but they have been remarkably fast at adding new features all the time. The optional fees can sometimes confuse users, because you have to choose "other" instead of just saying "no". I know it would increase the cost, but integrations with DonorPerfect or other CRM's would be helpful.

Very positive experience. The tutorials that are available are quite helpful, and when I did need to contact them with a question they reponded promply and resolved it for me.

Pros

Software is easy to use and navigate. Very short learning curve. The ability to collect funds for free without the trouble of collecting and depositing checks or cash was the strongest selling point.

Cons

We were collecting dues in $30 increments. The default fee to the members was relatively high. We explained how to change the fee if desired, but not everyone understood, got a few complaints as a result.

Zeffy is the best -- not just for the no fees, but forthe ease of use and can use for events, al sorts of donor campaigns, online store etc -- I have been using it forthree years now for several organizations, and all of my colleagues like it, too

Pros

Very user friendly, great newsletter, and donor management features. Several peoplecan be using it at once and you can alternate between your different organizations and sub-organizations, too

Cons

Sometimes there are glitches and it does not perform revisions perfectly and some tasks have to be repeated

Zeffy has been such a great platform for our fundraising needs! It’s incredibly easy to use and very effective in helping us reach our goals. Overall, it was a good experience, but the email template editing needs work. Placing pictures is a real chore and something needs done to resize on the fly using the app!!!!!!

Pros

The app does most of the work when it comes down to people bidding! The app notifies all winners and simplifies things when you need it the most!

Cons

Setting up the emails can be a real grudge when using your cell phone when you need it the most. Very difficult to set up your default emails that you want going out.

I am a big fan of Zeffy & I submit new feature requests regularly to help them expand all the great features they already offer. Their customer support team is extremely responsive and helpful, and overall I can't recommend Zeffy enough.

Pros

I like that it makes it possible for 100% of donations to go directly to the intended cause rather than to payment processors. I also like the variety of options, tools & webinars offered by Zeffy to help nonprofits optimize their fundraising efforts. The forms are also generally a lot better looking that alternative platforms.

Cons

I don't like that I can't limit access to forms by teams (so that 1 department can't access another department's forms). I also wish I could set up email confirmations at either the organizational level or at the team level so that emails are no longer managed at the individual form level. I don't like how hard it is to see how much donors are also giving to Zeffy or that it's not easy to refund the portion of a donation that goes to Zeffy. I also don't like that administrators don't get refund transaction email confirmations.

It was easy to set up campaign elements, and customer support was quick with the one or two hiccups we had. The outbound social media and email pieces looked great.

Pros

The Zeffy interface is easy to use and delivers attractive materials for social media and email. We used it for event registration, peer-to-peer campaigns, and donations. If you’re skeptical about their business model, we can tell you there are no catches or loopholes on the financial side — they took zero percent of our fundraising income.

Cons

Had some minor hiccups updating content: occasional time delays for updates appearing, trouble finding features. But it was overall easy to use and incredible value even with the minor issues.

It has been so easy to use and has streamlined our process for our non-profit pto. Members have also said how create and easy it is to donate and receive confirmation. The ticketing system is great too.

Pros

I love the ease of the platform and how everything is trackable. I really love how there are so many different automations from emails to bank transfers.

Cons

I wish that there was still an option to tag in addition to the lists to manage the contacts. I also wish there was an option to add multiple emails to an account.

Pros

For a free platform, the customer service is very helpful and responsive. As promised, it saves us from paying fees for credit card donations, and is very easy to use.

Cons

It would be nice if there were a category for a paid subscription. The wording on the thank-you page is confusing to people, and people can't set up a recurring payment without classifying it as a donation.

So far it has been fantastic. We are learning as we go along. The 'real person' help is incredible. They take the time to work through your issues and find solutions. We attended two seminars and have picked up some great ideas for our website, fundraising actions, and what current trends are in the world of donations.

Pros

We love the options that Zeffy brings to our fundraising efforts. We are a new CRA Foundation and this platforms helps significantly with the paperwork and event creation.

Cons

Sometimes looking for answers, isn't as intuitive as Zeffy's "bot" thinks it is. I'm still puzzled by the 'Tap to Pay' concerns that I have and waiting to figure things out. There are actually 'too many' options and if you don't know they exist, you move through with something only to find out there was an easier or better way after the fact. We need to use what is available more effectively.

Reason for choosing Zeffy

Some in school division had experience with Zeffy and recommended the platform from their days at a non-profit. The fact that it was FREE, based in Canada was great.

Very good. Easy to use. The templates for fundraising ideas, adding photos. Letters for acknowledgement was great

Pros

Zeffy was do easy to sign up for and get started. Most questions were easily answered and staff made themselves available. It was do easy I recommended it to other organizations.

Cons

Sometimes it was tricky. I made errors on both of my raffles. Occasionally I needed help when staff wasn’t available

### "Really happy with Zeffy for our small non-profit"

Really pleased with it. My board is really pleased with the auto-renewal functionality, and with how seamless it has been.

Pros

You can't beat their business model - allowing donors to tip (or not) has helped our organization tremendously. Saving 3%+ in PayPal, Stripe, and Venmo fees adds up. The forms are simple to set-up, the connection with our bank was flawless, payouts happen weekly without any issue, and I can easily integrate the payment forms into our Squarespace-based website. We are going to start using Zeffy for events and I'm excited and hopeful that our volunteers will have an easy seamless experience. As for connectivity, we can easily export transactions into our Quickbooks platform, but given how payouts happen as lump-sums, it was a little tedious for our treasurer to have to manually split the payout transaction, so he's entering things manually. The export function works just fine to import data into our donations database (Monday.com).

Cons

The Zapier integration to link to Monday hasn't been successful yet- but we are going to work on it. Our Monday.com database has donor names as one field, I wish Zeffy had a way to do that automatically (combine Fname+space+Lname). I had to use Excel as an intermediate step.
