November 12, 2025 4.0 I’ve had a great experience switching to Zeffy and look forward to seeing what cool, free features they add next! Pros The fact that this product is free to use is incredible. Being able to process payments online so seamlessly without being charged an arm and a leg (in fact without being charged a cent!) is a fundraising game changer for small non-profits like ours! The interface is very user friendly, intuitive even, and extracting data from campaigns is quick and easy. With their new POS app that can be downloaded onto any phone, they’ve saved us the need to purchase a square reader: staff and volunteers can just download the app and begin scanning tickets or taking donations! Cons The product is still new so it doesn’t have quite as many features as other similar products. However, they are highly responsive to customer feedback and constantly adding new features to meet the evolving needs of the non-profit community. I highly recommend Zeffy for any non-profit organization !!!!! It has allowed us to collect monies, which are automatically deposited into our linked financial institution relieving our Directors/Officers of this responsibility. Pros The free Zeffy platform for non-profits is an amazing product. My non-profit is very small with a small budget, and so the no-pay of any platform fees (including credit card surcharges on monies collected) is a real benefit. In 2026, our non-profit wanted to move forward where on-line payments and ticket sales could be collected and tracked for annual membership dues as well as for paid and/or free ticketed events. A few features, we would like to highlight: 1) Zeffy's platform allows Administrators to restrict access to information by user profile. For example, sensitive financial data can be restricted by user profile 2) On-line payments are securely processed through the STRIPE platform and 3) You don't need to have a computer background to use Zeffy. Initially, creating events and our membership form took several hours to create in Zeffy due to the learning curve, but Zeffy's on-line help, chat box, and personal emails all resolved any obstacles encountered. I am technically challenged, but I was able to get our non-profit up and running on the Zeffy Platform. Zeffy has the capability to create event QR codes , which can be downloaded and used on marketing media. The Zeffy support team is AMAZING! Cons Do not with to find any fault with Zeffy, but it would be nice if Zeffy had the capability to use fundraising event content to create marketing FLYERS ... that could be printed . As is, one must cut and past content from Zeffy and paste it into Word or other software to create flyers. Also, if a few standard financial reports could be made available versus having to export data, I would find helpful. Regardless, of my wishes, ZEFFY is a Fantastic Product for non-profits!!!! I can actually use Zeffy (and I couldn't say that about the last product). It was relatively easy to set up. It took me days to set up the last donor database product. With Zeffy, it took an hour or two. Pros 1\. It is easy to use!!!! I am not a web developer. The last donor database product we had (AND paid for!) was difficult and frustrating to use. This is customer friendly, even for those who aren't familiar with these kinds of products. 2. It's free! 3. I believe the support is AI driven. Every time I have needed support, I had to believe I was "speaking" with a live human. It's that good. I always get the support I need in a timely fashion. That is SO important. Cons It's not that flexible. For example, I needed to reorder my contacts alphabetically and I was unable to do so. September 17, 2025 5.0 Zeffy has allowed me to free up cognitive bandwidth by automating things like tax receipts, donation deposits, closing sales and scheduling other features. Those little things matter! I love the CRM-like features that assist with communications. I love that I can do so much in one place, within one system. I would pay for a for-profit version of this same system, and I'm actively seeking a close alternative for for-profits. Pros Everything in one place: donor information, financial information, fundraising & email campaign management. I love that Zeffy automatically transfers deposits to the bank, and I can set it to automatically send Tax receipts. The CRM -like features make it easy to segment audiences for communications, and makes smart recommendations. I love that I was given an unsolicited website overview for how to maximize Zeffy's platform. That's initiative! All this and the help center is good too! Easy to use & Free! Cons Sometimes I wish there was a little bit more design/editing access for campaign tools, but this is minor. Mostly, I love this platform! The few times I did need help I was able to get that from the help center and even then someone from Zeffy followed up with an email to make sure I got everything I needed. I also really like the tax exempt forms which are automatically created when our supporters donate. Pros Zeffy is free, so that is the first thing. The platform is very user-friendly and anything I did not understand I could get guidance from the help or online chat. I also really like the ability to accept electronic payments with ease, the ease of creating campaigns and it really provides a very professional look for our organization. Cons I can't think of anything that I currently do not like. Zeffy has given us the opportunity to have 100% of our donations go directly to us and the customer has the choice to provide a "tip", which is how Zeffy makes a profit. It is a "win, win". We attended two seminars and have picked up some great ideas for our website, fundraising actions, and what current trends are in the world of donations. Pros We love the options that Zeffy brings to our fundraising efforts. We are a new CRA Foundation and this platforms helps significantly with the paperwork and event creation. Cons Sometimes looking for answers, isn't as intuitive as Zeffy's "bot" thinks it is. I'm still puzzled by the 'Tap to Pay' concerns that I have and waiting to figure things out. There are actually 'too many' options and if you don't know they exist, you move through with something only to find out there was an easier or better way after the fact. I don't like receiving daily emails from Zeffy particularly when I am not doing a fundraiser at the moment. There are no hidden fees, which means 100% of donations go directly to support our mission. The platform is also very easy to use, both for our organization and for supporters, with simple setup, customizable event and donation pages, and clear reporting. It gives us the flexibility to run campaigns, sell tickets, and manage fundraising all in one place without sacrificing transparency. Cons I honestly did not encounter any issues while using Zeffy. From setup to implementation, the platform was smooth, user-friendly, and reliable. The features worked as expected, and I appreciated that there were no hidden fees, which allowed all contributions to directly support our mission. The donation and event management tools were intuitive, and both our organization and our supporters found the process simple and efficient. Because of this, I don’t have any negatives to report. Pros Zeffy has proved to be a great fit for our nonprofit! It was so easy to set up our first form with clear instructions. We appreciate that thete are no fees so that 100% of the donations made reach us. Love that automatic receipts are sent to donors, but templates and suggestions are also available to send more personal emails to donors. Cons Wish that there was a place for a shirt description on the main donation form without having to click more details. The platform is robust, easy to navigate, and full of excellent features. New donations/sales are reported as they occur, a summary of new transactions is provided weekly along with all transactions to date, and a deposit notice is also provided weekly. Communications are terrific, with a live human response usually within an hour or two. And any suggestions I have made to improve the experience have been accepted quickly and sent to the creative department. Cons I can't think of anything, which even amazes me. Every not-for-profit should know about and use them for fundraising. Pros The site is perfect for not-for-profits. Our auction was relatively easy to set up. The communication feature (with participants) was super-helpful. Live the tax letter option, too. Cons Wish one could edit pictures on the site. The standard square was a bit tricky and we had to set our auction up quickly so I didn't have time for find a workaround.
