Pros Jobtread has helped our residential remodeling company sell more jobs, produce them faster and with higher profitability. The customer service and community support behind the product is incredible. We use it from initial contact with clients, through design, the build process, change orders and even after close out to maintain relationships with previous clients. It has been a game changer for our small business. I cannot recommend Jobtread for enough. Cons The only issue I have with Jobtread is that it wasn’t around years ago when I started into this industry. I can only imagine where my business would be today if it had been. I would (and have) recommend them to anyone in the market for a great project management software. Pros It is simply the best software out there for remodelers, hands down! It's easy to use, full featured and fully functional, it has all of the features and integrations you need and the support is incredible! Cons The user interface can be a little daunting, but you get used to it pretty quickly. BuilderTrend seemed nice because of the UI but JobTread just beats them out in so many other things. I know there are still many features I'm not fully utilizing. The few features I am using have helped me to create a customer funnel and stay more organized with vendors. Pros I love how customizable Jobtread is. I'm able to build a project management software that not only fits my business but also customize it to fit each customer. Cons There are some features I wish Jobtread had. For example I'd like to be able to integrate both ways with Gusto (have my hours on Gusto sync over to Jobtread without requiring each employee to be a paid user). Pros I’ve used other CMS platforms before JobTread, but they all felt limited. After switching to JobTread, I’m finally able to start building out processes that match how we actually operate. The customizable templates and formulas have greatly sped up estimating and proposal preparation time. Being able to have documents e-signed without a third-party app and the QuickBooks integration that allows sending payable invoices directly from the app have been huge time-savers. The level of customization JobTread offers for project management and estimate creation has made it possible to truly document and refine our processes. The JobTread team is constantly striving to improve the platform, and most importantly, their customer support and community are outstanding — always ready to help. Project Estimator Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Strong Core Small Frustrations" October 15, 2025 3.0 Overall i think Job tread is a good software product for people made by a company who i believe genuinely love their product and want to improve on it. If your are little more tech savy and want little more customizability there are points where you will run into and just scratch your head. I think the fixes to these issues are very simple and if implemented would solve many issues, at least speaking for me. I do recommend the software in general but depending on industry you may run into simple frustrations. Pros I like the user interface and the bugfree software. The app is also very responsive and you are able to look at all the same info as desktop. The Estimation is decent as well and overall the software seems to be polished with a clean UI. The built in helpdesk with all the videos is also great and allows for easy learning without having to always figure stuff out. The customer portal is also very useful and a great feature for us and the client. The connection between takeoffs and estimation creation is also very useful. There are a lot of features and items within the software that i assume are very helpful for many people, even though we use only a few main ones. Cons I feel as if there are some small items really stopping this software from being great. I always find something i think is useful but then i also find a limitation in which i am prevented from using it the way it would be beneficial for us. For example when I update a cost item in the Catalog it doesn’t update the pricing/quantities/formulas/margins in cost groups so that means I have to go through each cost group again and change it manually over and over again. The lack of message signatures and message templates means that you are constantly going back and forth copy pasting different premade messages, which adds a lot of friction. Similarly, document customization is near zero and i often find not being able to change logo sizes, fonts and anything else a detriment in being able to present a proposal. In Estimation, you cant just choose a item to hide or turn into an option, always have to go through the process of making multiple groups just to do one simple thing. In general its just simple items that alone dont seem a big deal but when you add them up it starts feeling as if you always have to find a workaround to what seems as a very simple solution and sometimes i just don't understand the logic in certain functionality on why it was chosen to be as it is. They give their customers a white glove experience. Pros The value for money is incredible. It saves me hours on budgeting, estimating, and job costing. Pros The ability of managing project documents, it centralised our document management. It has made it easy to communicate with clients and subcontractors. Since it is build with construction management in mind it guided our template creation. Cons The scheduling feature is no nibel enough. It is not easy to define working and non working days, we couldn't prknt a specific number of days or durations, we could build a resource schedule which is linked to the activity schedule. Having worked as an independant construction contractor for 15 years, and having worked with several different platforms for management and accounting, I can say without hesitation that this is by far the most capable, nimble, clever and tightly designed platform I have had the please of using. This is all made that much more powerful an experience thanks to JobTreads robust and thorough on-boarding training and remarkably accessible customer support. Cons There are some limits to its functionality, but they are super niche and the list gets smaller with every update. Integrating over from Co-Construct and Builder Trend was a breeze with the help of our project success manager, \[sensitive content hidden\] Cons Job Tread is designed for contractors who utilize cost plus or time and material contracts, not fixed price contracts. As a design-build contractor who works solely with fixed-price contracts, there are limitations to how we can receive approvals for selections from clients during our project development phase via the built-in workflow of the platform without using the customary forms of selections and allowances that most of the industry uses for cost-plus contracts. However, there are workarounds we've come up with through the platform that suit our needs.
