It was very poor. We never heard from representatives and when we needed support on anything it was difficult to get results if we got them at all.

Pros

The user interface was easy for the drivers to operate

Cons

It did not integrate with our internal processes and service was non-existent.

Unreliable! Cost did not meet the service.

Pros

The where one of the top systems in the country when we first started using them.

Cons

When ELDs started PeopleNet was not able to meet the same standard and we had nothing but problems.

Moved from them to KeepTruckin (Motive). Found this to be an easier user experience, cheaper and not so much upfront cost with hardware, etc.

Pros

It's hard to say since we didn't have anything to compare it to. We got it as part of the mandate and it was one of the early players in the ELD market.

Cons

High upfront cost, MAJOR connectivity issues leading to logs that were not compliant and having to do lots of editing on the back end.

Overall I think there are a lot of good, helpful, knowledgeable people who work for PeopleNet. They want to improve their product as much as our customers want it to be improved. Each new version of the ELD app gets better but there are still some lingering issues that would make me think twice if we weren't already so invested in the product.

Pros

Because PeopleNet has been around for years, there are a lot of other companies that know it and work with it. The older PeopleNet Fleet Manager (PFM) is easy to use and has a lot of easy-to-use functionality for back office staff. The newer Trimble Fleet Manager (TFM) is great but needs more features. The ELD software on the tablets is fairly easy to learn and works well most of the time.

Cons

The ELD software on the tablets sometimes has issues recording drive time. It's a known issue that Trimble is trying to fix but has yet to get it resolved.

Pros

It's decent. Keeps you legal. Basic operation is smooth and easy to use.

Cons

When I used the system it was on my company driving days. Company's I worked for didn't give me any options on using anything else. But I found it was decent enough. Kept me legal.
