Firstly, it is free and open source, secondly the design of this application is intuitive which makes the task more easier. Whether it is mixing, converting or noise cancellation for audios, it has an answer to everything. March 21, 2022 5.0 To be honest, I've used it for over 3 years and only use it when I'm in a hurry, it serves the purpose at that moment . Pros Speed and ease are always required for anyone, whether it is for their own company or for another business. Time these days is important, and anyone should take advantage of it. I apologize for the introduction, but it will save me the trouble of delivering information to you. I will not say that it is the best audio engineering program, but there are other programs that are more in-depth in this field, such as Adobe Audition, but what is unique about Audacity is that it is very easy to use and has all the things that you will use in audio engineering like other programs . You can master it in a few days, the user interface is very simple and you will not have difficulty, the nice thing is that it is open source, and anyone can download it for free. It packs serious agility for anything in its range. It does really edit sound, though concerted ( deals exceeding well with hissing). It is also utterly unbelievable that you can use it so vividly to eliminate unwanted pauses and front noises (breaths though stealing the back sounds), for it just to be able to negate the waves and pick out something for its package size means a lot of concerted engineering. I still stick to aggregates though, like dealing with outdoor takes editing, for it fares well against white noise and all high noises (air hissing) real well. Pros An aptly incredulous little audio editor. Not much of a big machine tool but for the aggregate sound guy like a videographer where you are not supposed to separate sound elements but rather desire to leave the aggregated sound clean without separation, it works exceeding fine. It is an ideal little ware that does not even need installation for the most part and it cleans the general sound really well. the other beautiful thing is it can do that to the unamplified sound too, which is generally problematic to sound software, with real good spec inducing, you can bass up or lighten pitch by factoring, so being able to get the right back sounds for your video or single-channel export. Good for the guy who wants an edit of a bundled in an exportable and playable in almost all devices track. the good thing being you are able to convert to a number of consumable formats as much as professional one. Cons It is not good for noise separation, as demanded by a sound professional. It rather works well for aggregates, and cannot separate a single sound data to multiple elaborate sounds. in the case of separation, more of a single track enclosed recording ware, where all the unwanted background noises are pre-eliminated or rather a sound aggregate for the video guy. November 2, 2023 4.0 Audacity is one of the most career-spanning software available. It's used by many professional studios, why wouldn't they? It does exactly what it advertises at a more than fair price.Wether I scratch some ideas in Ableton Live or multitrack in Reaper, I always keep Audacity nearby and opened ready to make quick edits and export them back into DAW. I also use it to record very long audio clips, edit them using the waveform view and tadah! Work done. Pros Audacity is the Swiss knife of audio editing. It has anything and everything you could need to chop, cut, copy, stutter or effect audio quickly and easily. It needs no manual (it has one anyway) since it's very intuitive and even a hobbyist will find some way to use it in a matter of minutes. It even supports VSTs, so bring your virtual effects library and enjoy! Cons There's nothing I would like Audacity to do that it doesn't right now. It's not meant to mix, multitrack or anything like that (DAWs exists for a reason) it's just good at what it does. Maybe the GUI could be more modern? But who does not like a dose of vintage! I often do time-lapse videos of my art, and mixing both musical scores as well as varied monologues to add to them has not only been a lot easier than I expected, but has also opened doors to other creative ventures. The ease of use would have to be the number one perk of this software. Cons I found only one issue that I can't really even call a con, which is the way the competed projects are filed. En particular he utilizado Audacity para editar recursos que luego compaginé en otro editor de audio en forma de podcast, y luego en forma de video. Es importante concebirlo como una herramienta más pero no como el único programa para editar el audio. Cons Considerando el uso conjunto con otros programas, y el hecho de que este es gratuito, no me parece que éste tenga desventajas considerables. This has made it immensely popular with beginners and podcasters looking for a free solution to get started. Audacity is a great place to start to learn audio editing. Cons Audacity suffers from one of the ugliest graphical user interfaces out there. Contrast is poor, the blue-on-grey aesthetic is exhausting, and the icons are straight out of a clipart site from 1998. Performance can be spotty on some Macs.
