Pros Audacity is very quick to set up and use, while being simple to understand. I needed to record audio for a radio ad but had never done so before. Audacity was super easy to jump into for a brand new user. Cons The user interface did strike me as a bit dated and cluttered. Not so much that it impacted my experience to the point of being unable to use the software, but enough to give a bit of an initial shock. Review Source MM Massimo M. You have to import the instrumental track of the song you want to record, after which you have to create a new audio track and, with the microphone, start recording. Audacity has several functions: tempo change, pitch change, background noise removal, reverb, echo, and even some plug-ins that can be added, such as autotune. So I would say it's fabulous being free. Pros It has simple but very effective graphics. It is also very intuitive to use. It has many features and is free Cons It is not suitable for professional operations, but otherwise it works well. I use it on Windows and it works fine, even for producing simple podcasts. It is free to use and has a lot of options. Pros I like all of the features you can use to modify recordings. You can add and edit tracks. You can overlay tracks and create different sounds.
