The native vst plugins are of high quality, Morphine, Sytrus, Harmless, Toxic, are incredible. FL Studio is the best of all time when it comes to composition. Cons Although we can have high quality mixes in Fl Studio, in my opinion it remains limited on the Mixing side. For example, the routing system does not allow high-precision processing, unlike Cubase or Protools. but nevertheless it is a negative detail that does not affect the overall quality. I'm learning to make cinematic stock music, my own style of neoclassical/electronic crossover, and I'm also using FL Studio for converting bit rates of audio samples that I'm modifying and creating via Python scripts. Pros FL Studio is a great entry point into digital music making. Its interface is extremely flexible, there is a robust community and a wonderfully sarcastic guide book online (it calls you out for looking at advanced features when you are just learning the basics), and it's really easy to jump right in to the music. Cons FL Studio's flexibility is both one of its strengths as well as one of its weaknesses, at least to the uninitiated like I started out. The fact that you can put almost anything anywhere when organizing your music or audio makes it difficult to determine where things SHOULD go, especially when you are new and don't have training about typical patterns. This has helped my my music advance a lot. i just have ssues with the recording part especially the pitch corrector. If it could be the exact voice i put in that give the play back it will be great. Pros This is a very user friendly beat making and even recording software, equipped with thousands of sound banks and plugins that make beat making really easy and fun. With it's channel rack, you really don't need a piano to make beats. Cons Some work still has to be done on the recording side of the program like it's pitch corrector. Cons The only problem i have with the software is the fact that there are multiple windows that you have to open (mixer, drum rack, arrangement view...) every time instead of having one main window for everything. I've had people swear by Pro Tools, but since I am not a Mac user, I've had no interest in trying it. I don't think FL Studio receives nearly enough credit, especially with its moderate price and user-friendliness. Pros I think FL Studio is the easiest to learn DAW when compared to others I've used. Also, the tendency to crash seems much less prevalent in FL Studio than others in my experience. It is also priced competitively. Cons The interface and some of the features available can seem a little bit dated at times. I don't think that much has changed across each iteration of the software, and this shows in the visual interface.
