### "18 Years Of Experience Using FL Studio For My Beat Project"

October 30, 2025

4.0

My overall experience with FL Studio has been great! Starting age 21 and still using FL studio until this day at age 39 going on 40 on March 8th 2026! I have got a lot of positive feedback to the instrumental beats this program gave me the ability to create and I can't think of ever using another program that would withstand fl studio when it comes to the quality and ease it takes me to make songs in fl studio!

Pros

I was able in the beginning of 2008 at the age of 21 to create my own beats and upload them to a page where they could be listened to and some were downloadable. This is the best beat making program I've ever used for construction a whole song using samples and mixers and mastering techniques with simple use.

Cons

The cons to using FL Studio is that it takes a lot of online learning to understand how to use the program and also you need some understanding of musical theory, etc. Another con to FL Studio is sometimes you need to buy a soundpack or download a free sound-kit to widen your audio sample library enough to expand your beats you make!

### "Great System, even better Operating System "

November 17, 2025

5.0

In terms of my workflow, FL has been able to provide a streamlined process to my projects, allowing me to spend less time fidgeting with bugs and issues, and more time recording music and beats.

Pros

I Mainly use this application for beat making, patterns, and chopping and screwing of Wav of Mp Audio Files. I love how far you can drill down into the audio and tweak even the most miniscule of sliders, each to have their own sound design and shape. I love how much you can do within this application. I also love the fact that it is a one-time purchase rather than paying 10.99 a month to keep the application running.

Cons

I run FL on an older Macbook Air, and I would say that It tends to run a little slow, especially when i have my Plug-ins added and running a lot of patterns. I would also say that it does overload my system a bit, but this is not on FL as my OS is not suited to run the vast amounts of data that entails with this application. Running the OS Visualizer ( Basic Plug-in provided by FL ) Is pretty much off of the table for me unless i run it without an audio track.

### "No after sale support, poor purchase"

January 20, 2025

1.0

No support at all, no replies to email and no care for clients post the sale

Pros

Nothing since I cant use it, license key does not work

Cons

Maybe a great product but exceptionally poor support. I emailed them as my license key does not work. It was purchased and I was provided with a license key. Its been over a week and no reply so be aware, like me you might pay and never get what you paid for or any support post the sale. Its a big NO from me.

### "FL Studio is a Game changer"

February 15, 2022

5.0

I have enjoyed FL Studio as it has evolved from Fruity Loops to FL Studio. Even some of the great producers have made some excellent music with and have shocked others with more expensive rigs.

Pros

FL Studio has sample based and software instrument to create music with. It has a pattern screen to setup your music patterns, Browser to setup your pattern in to a song. virtual mixer to mix your music with effects. Editor to enhance audio. Record sounds or vocals. THis is a full functional Digital Audio workstation. Plus, Akai has collaborated to make the AKAI Fire: a fully functional Controller for FL studio. It is a drum programmer, midi controller, sequencer, and mixer. all in one.

Cons

There are a lot of window to navigate through. Sometimes, it can been a stressful on your CPU if you don't have a great graphic card in your computer. Also, like Ableton live Suite, You must get the producer edition which is $400 dollar if you want to use their better software instruments, editors, or Effects.

### "FL STUDIO--A Great Starting Point for Rhythmic Composition, Arranging and Training"

December 25, 2024

5.0

Fantastic. I don't use the software much anymore as my understanding of theory has improved drastically over my early uses of FL. But the time and money was well spent on this software.

Pros

SIMPLICITY!!!! This is a great starter app for developing musicians. It's also a great tool to teach MUSIC THEORY TIMING. The graphic layout easily teaches basic timing and beat break downs. Very quickly helping young musicians understand timing and note types. Also great for DJ Remixing applications

Cons

Sometimes it became a little cumbersome to deal with alternate or less traditional timings.

### "Packed with possibilities."

May 27, 2025

4.0

It has been a lot of fun from the beginning as well as a learning curve. It has been fully compatible with all of the peripheral devices that I've attempted to use with it. And I just don't have any complaints. Great software and works on a Windows laptop.

Pros

Quite frankly it does it all. Truly a recording and mixing studio at ypur fingertips. Instruments, controlers, effects.... like it left any limits behind.

Cons

I was completely new to the software. It's not a perfectly intuitive interface. so learning it has been a bit of a challenge. So I joined an Mixing Academy that teaches about it. If you're familiar with recording studio software already. This is likely the not a problem for you, when it comes to interface.

### "Fruity Classic"

5.0

It's great! the first program I ever used to start making electronic music. It might not be the Lamborghini of DAWs, but for the tech you're getting inside, it's like getting a reliable Chevy at a great price.

Pros

Ease of use- no other DAW software comes close to the speed of simply making music with this softeware from the get go

Cons

The default sounds are pretty recognizable, and so one might want to go hunting for additional plugins.

### "FL Studio Stands Out in Music Production. Why?"

August 24, 2024

4.0

Easy to Use Quick Track Building Great Plugins Free Updates for life Recording: It’s not the best for recording and editing audio compared to some other software.

Pros

One of the standout features of FL Studio is its intuitive and visually appealing interface. The software is user-friendly, making it easier for both beginners and experienced producers to use and create music efficiently. It is just simple to use and is the best for anyone who wants to be a music producer, beat maker and record engineer in less time.

Cons

FL Studio is not as strong in audio recording and editing relating to other DAWs like Pro Tools or Logic Pro. This can be a drawback for users who need robust multitrack recording capabilities.

### "Fl studio, the first love of every modern beatmaker"

August 28, 2021

4.0

Personally, I have found what I need to produce in this daw, it has good plugins, quality virtual instruments, and very good support for third-party plugins. Fl studio was the first serious daw I tried, and I loved it, although over time I have needed best daws, or better said, more balanced. Fl studio helped me to get into the world of music production in a very comfortable way, and I think that any beginner should give this daw a chance.

Pros

FL studio seems to me a highly comfortable daw, is super simple to use, is visually attractive, and has a huge amount of plugins and vst that will facilitate our musical composition process, fl studio is focused on the creation of electronic music and lends itself well to be a beat-making daw, also allows us to record an audio clip and lets us make a song from the creation of the instrumental to the mastering process, no doubt fl studio is a cheap and very complete daw.

Cons

Fl studio, is not for everyone, despite being able to perform all kinds of projects in this daw, it is very limited in certain aspects, this music production software is highly focused on that, the production, fl studio is very limited in aspects such as mixing and mastering, not that it can't perform these tasks, but the workflow consumes more time than other daws, another limitation is the recording of instruments, personally, I feel uncomfortable recording in fl studio, I think it is a daw with more emphasis on MIDI creation, fl studio has no support for analog equipment, we can't connect external hardware, since fl studio doesn't have compatibility. If you are looking to create projects that require the use of analog tools, I regret to inform you that this daw isn't for you.

### "If you're working at the MIDI level, look no further than FL Studio"

December 29, 2022

4.0

FL Studio makes writing music incredibly fast and enjoyable. The core plugins are enough to get you started, and are of excellent quality (though you may find yourself still using 3rd party effects for reverbs and delays). However if you're a beginner, what it offers is more than enough, and you'll have no problem getting used to the software, even though all DAWs look pretty overwhelming at first.I had to write a review for FL Studio because it has given me so much and I wanted to give something back. If it wasn't for image-line I probably wouldn't be making music right now.

Pros

The biggest and best feature of FL Studio, in my opinion, is the piano roll. It makes working at the MIDI level a joy. So if you're more accustomed to using virtual instruments and moving notes around manually instead of recording, then you'll get some serious bang for your buck here. Other DAW users have been envious of my ability to pitch bend without the use of automation or drawing lines all over the pattern. If you don't own a MIDI controller, the piano roll wins again because it's just so easy to modify the notes and FL comes with the best virtual keyboard I've ever used. Select the scale you want and never play out of tune again. With FL 21 you can now even select the root note so it's not locked to C anymore.Another pro I need to mention is its small price tag. I picked my producer copy up for ~£150 during a Christmas sale. That's for lifetime free updates, too. Not only is it one of the most inexpensive DAWs, but they do have a few sales you should keep your eye out for if you're considering purchasing it.Then there's FLEX.. a preset based synthesizer. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] of FL Studio get access to a bunch of free packs, and the premium packs aren't that expensive either. I bought one for £15 inc. VAT. FLEX has really inspired me to a whole new level. The music just about writes itself. I couldn't believe it came with FL Studio for free.

Cons

I wasn't a huge fan of how patterns are separate from tracks. It's a bit of a weird concept to get your head around. It makes things a little more versatile, but it can also be quite confusing on larger projects if you don't assemble it correctly. You also need to make sure you have the correct instrument selected before laying down notes in the pattern. It's just something I don't like very much about the software. If the pros didn't outweigh this problem so much, I probably wouldn't have stuck with FL and recommended it.

### "A very capable DAW"

November 29, 2022

5.0

Has been my favorite DAW for almost 5 years. The community is very vibrant and resourceful.

Pros

The transient processor has been one of my most used feature in FL Studio for years. It allows to edit beats by being able to separate both the attack and the release section of a beat sample a create a custom sound. It has very easy to use interface with visual aspects and adjusting the split frequency control in the transient processor helps to clean up the low ends of my bass drums. I use Transient processor hand in hand with Fl Studio Newtone which works similarly like Melodyne. The pitch correction ability in Newtone is very capable for both correcting pitch for all notes or just individual notes. Individual notes’ pitch can be adjusted to the selected/desired note on the Piano roll and it snaps automatically to that pitch.

Cons

FL Studio is a very versatile DAW with a lot of potential for any skill level. It can be a bit overwhelming with many features but once one is willing to put in time and learn and understand each of the available features, it is offers a wealth of pleasure and creative possibilities unimagined. There are various variants of FL Studio such Producer or All plugins editions and being able to pick the right one can be challenging for a new user but the community is huge and willing to guide.

### "you are a beginner or even a professional,u want to make your own beat..Fl studio is perfect for u."

October 3, 2021

5.0

overall experience i would say that the software helped me a lot when i was a beginner and I'm still working on it, you can learn the basics in two days and everything is going to be easy and i wish you good luck on your career.

Pros

I'm using this software for a very long time, I have a full studio set up and i use this program most of my time. Fl Studio is really common software and it's going to help you so much to produce your own songs, I'm not gonna say its easy software, but everything is going to be easy with time, and by practicing...that doesn't mean its hard, but you just need to learn the basics and the interface.. the software gives you free plugins to start with whiches making it loved by people, it is easy to learn and quick, and its no going to take a lot of your device resources. and here are the best things that i liked about it: ● easy to learn. ● awesome interface design. ● Compatible and Flexible. ● 500 playlist track to mix . ● supporting different systems. ● Multiple arrangements. I'm not gonna finish if i want to tell you everything, to be honest, the software has so many good things, you can really enjoy it, I hope I'm not wrong, and of course, that's my experience and i wish you good luck.

Cons

the thing that i didn't like, sometimes you are working on long process , trying to make a beat or a project, The software crash or fail and everything is gone if you didn't save, not all the time of course..but you need to give attention and every time save your things.

### "Unlock Your Creativity: Discover the Power of FL Studio - The Ultimate Music Production Software"

January 20, 2023

5.0

Overall, my experience with FL Studio has been extremely positive. The software is incredibly versatile and offers a wide range of features and tools for music production. I found that the interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and utilize all of its features. The piano roll editor is particularly powerful, allowing for precise and detailed MIDI editing and manipulation. Additionally, the software comes with a vast library of virtual instruments and effects, providing me with a plethora of sound design options.I have used FL Studio primarily for producing music and beats and it has been a perfect fit for that purpose. The software's step sequencer, pattern-based workflow, and a wide variety of virtual instruments and effects make it an ideal choice for creating and arranging beats. I have been able to achieve a professional sound quality with the software and it has been a great tool to help me express my creativity. Overall, FL Studio is a great choice for music production and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to create and produce music.

Pros

FL Studio is an excellent Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that offers a wide range of features and tools for music production. One of its greatest strengths is its intuitive and user-friendly interface, which makes it easy for both beginners and experienced producers to navigate and utilize all of its features. Another pro is its powerful piano roll editor, which allows for precise and detailed MIDI editing and manipulation. Additionally, FL Studio comes with a vast library of virtual instruments and effects, providing users with a plethora of sound design options. Overall, FL Studio is a versatile and powerful DAW that offers a great value for its price and is a great choice for both professional and hobbyist music producers.

Cons

One potential con that some users may find is that the mixing and mastering capabilities may not be as robust as other DAWs on the market. While FL Studio does offer a variety of mixing and mastering tools, some users may find that they prefer the workflow or specific features offered by other DAWs for these tasks. Overall, FL Studio is a great choice for music production, but those who prioritize advanced mixing and mastering capabilities may want to explore other options.

### "One of the most popular professional music production software"

July 19, 2022

5.0

I can do anything that comes to my mind because it has all the features I need, and because it is a great and popular program, there are many people on their channel explaining how to use it and work on it

Pros

There is no person in the field of audio editing who does not use FL Studio, it is one of the best audio recording and editing software ever because it has great features that made it very powerful, and through it I can add great effects to the audio, and output audio files with very high quality. One of the most important things I loved is that it has a powerful and giant user interface, as it is flexible and you can enter the program quickly and in a few seconds, it contains dozens of tools used to edit audio files, music and audio files in a distinctive and wonderful way, and also the feature of dragging and dropping your clips inside the program Organized, as well as recording and filtering audio, trimming audio files, integrating editing and professional audio editing. I can control the purity of the sound, raise and lower the volume, adjust the frequency and echo, and it allows me to do many different tasks and tasks at the same time through the tabs It's also nice to buy the program once for life, and updates come constantly, which is why it is so popular and distinctive

Cons

The program consumes a lot of CPU and needs a device with high specifications

### "The best DAW in the game for Rap Producers"

March 31, 2022

5.0

The ease of use and immersion that FL Studio gives me has not been given to me by any DAW that I have tried to date, and surely this is the most intuitive and manageable DAW that you can find.

Pros

FL Studio has lifetime updates, which is essential for every producer's pocket and a great plus point. In addition to this, the interface and ease of understanding of this DAW is incredibly easy and its community (Forum and Discord) is incredibly friendly, professional and talented. In addition to this, the FL Studio developers are continually pushing out updates to the DAW, listening to their community, and making improvements. Regarding the elements of the DAW... I love the mixer, and it is a great advantage to use this DAW, the sequencer is simply the best thing that could have been created in a DAW in terms of ease of creating a good rhythm for your beats

Cons

What I like the least about FL Studio is that the live mode doesn't quite convince me, and few hardware is really 100% compatible and easy to use right now. Besides this, I really missed some native plugins like a dynamic EQ... Also missing some GUI color change and a major change in automations.

### "The best DAW for all producers."

February 13, 2023

5.0

Thanks to Fl studio, I was able to take my first steps in the world of music production. it is affordable and offers all the tools imaginable for beatmakers and composers to improve their art.

Pros

The strong point which is particularly appreciable on FL studio is the ease with which the composition is feasible, thanks in particular to its beattrack, but also its PianoRoll which is undoubtedly the best on the market. but also the native composition plugins are excellent, namely Flex, Sytrus, Harmless, Toxic and others. It is a pleasure to work with Fl Studio in addition to the egornomic interface nicely adapted for comfortable and efficient use.

Cons

According to me Fl Studio is not powerful enough for professional mixing, the routing although effective does not allow very technical processing

### "An Extremely Fun and Artistic Tool"

December 28, 2020

5.0

I have used this software for the first time when I was in elementary. My friend and I used to fiddle around in the program back in those days, creating beats or simple songs in a freestyle approach. It was very challenging at times, finding the right samples and sound effects, but in the end it was a very amusing experience, no matter the outcome. Definitely one of the best editors for music in general.

Pros

When a creative mind finds a proper means to manifest its vision, wonders happen. That is exactly what Fruity Loops aims to accomplish. With so many options to choose from, the ways in which you can record, then edit, mix and master sounds into a cohesive whole suited for your own tastes are near limitless.

Cons

It is quite complex when you begin using it, and watching tutorials for certain functionalities is a must if you mean to have a more serious approach, or even tread down a professional path. Indeed, it is an intricate software, but that is only natural, what with its vast offer of possibilities and tools at your disposal.
