Pros Strong emphasis on security, including ransomware protection and file versioning. If you already utilize Datto solutions, the setup and deployment is straightforward. Cons 50GB is the default storage size per user, this may not be sufficient for some businesses, and additional storage costs more. Since COVID the vast majority of our staff have been working remotely and being able to have a scalable solution to meet our needs has been invaluable. Cons We have found that Datto Workplace is a little more restrictive that other solutions out there, such as Microsoft 365 OneDrive / SharePoint. This is primarily because the other solutions integrate 1st or 3rd Party with common products like Exchange Online for example. Cons When I would try to reach out to support, I would be on hold forever, and be ignored, or passed around on email chains. The billing portal was a chore to navigate. Reasons for choosing Datto Workplace It was the cheapest and easiest. It was before Dropbox was around! We left Datto for Dropbox because more clients of my client used Dropbox.
