Love the software and app. I am always trying to find out its capabilities. Reports are easy to run and are useful

Pros

Easy to use and maneuver around the software. Love the new Co pilot feature to assist with tasks and the app on my phone makes booking holiday and other tasks easier to access

Cons

A lot of bugs and issues sometimes that aren't the easiest to fix. The technicians need to sometimes just give you a call to get it fixed

### "Expected more"

Not very good. They are really good at selling but the aftercare is awful. We were sold the platform through our HR provider but they have even pulled away from People HR now and are no longer recommending it

Pros

People HR was sold to us as this wonderful system which can do everything we needed it to do but it is quite clunky and not the easiest of systems to use.

Cons

It looks quite dated, it sometimes can't do simple tasks, some functions are quite complicated. You have also taken away the option to raise support tickets which is the easiest way to get a problem sorted.

### "Easy to use, process efficiency "

Really positive experience and it has streamlined our processes internally and made people management much easier.

Pros

The ease of having everything managed in one system, it is easy for employees to use and it is also a great time and money saving for the business.

Cons

The system could do with an update to make it a bit more modern and appealing to look at, I think this would make more users use it more.

### "Good first year with PeopleHR"

Good, there is lots of contact points to get support for both technical issues and contract queries.

Pros

Setting up logbooks to collate data in the way you want is great, and using ripples to automate processes is a great way to save time for our busy HR team. The mobile app is helping staff access their data, book holidays and submit timesheets easily.

Cons

Getting the right access to data for the right people isn't quite there but it's a complicated thing to get right. Logbook set up could be improved, with further customisation options and the ability to print to pdf the data in logbooks as we do use them as electronic forms

Overall, my experience with Access PeopleHR has been like upgrading from a chaotic garage full of papers to a slightly less chaotic, but way smarter, digital HQ. It keeps employee data, leave requests, and documents in one place, saves time, and reduces mistakes — all while occasionally reminding you that technology has its own sense of humor. In short: mostly smooth sailing, with just enough quirks to keep HR interesting

Pros? Oh, where do I start! I loved that Access PeopleHR finally let me stop juggling a thousand spreadsheets and sticky notes. It’s like having a personal assistant who never takes coffee breaks, never loses a file, and actually remembers everyone’s holiday requests — basically the dream HR sidekick we didn’t know we needed.

Cons

Cons? Oh, the joy! I loved that Access PeopleHR occasionally reminds you it’s still a computer — like when it insists on doing things its way, or when reports mysteriously refuse to export unless you perform some secret HR ritual. Keeps you humble, really.

### "Powerful SME HR solution"

Overall the feedback from HR professionals managing it and, more importantly, the end users has been very good. The vast range of features can be overwhelming for a small team to begin with but with a little patience it is possible to manage a good sized company with only a couple of administrators.

Pros

I like the ease of implementation and ongoing use for HR professionals along with the incredibly broad range of features included. Now that the product has been fully onboarded to the Access group i've found the support has improved along with the ability to be actively involved in creating feature requests for the developers.

Cons

Initially, the app-based experience for the users was very mixed with frequent failures and the login experience during the transition to Access was also a little flaky. Thankfully, all of these issues are now resolved

PeopleHR has enabled us to scale our business from small to medium sized effectively. The introduction of additional features have continued to keep the system relevant to our needsdespite implementation issues.

Pros

Easy to use and modify to requirements. Simple admin and employeer interfaces. App makes is usable for quick access by remote/mobile employees. Ability to create report queries on all elements of employee information. New support messaing function helpful when working with a representative.

Cons

New features often rolled out containing technical issues leading to limited usability. AI support feature can struggle to find relevant solutions or information. People Analytics limited to absence and turnover metrics.

### "Solid platform with some tweaks needed."

Its mostly a good database platform which takes care of information securely for staff across the UK and internationally. We had some issues with the link up to payroll but these have now been mostly addressed.

Pros

It is user friendly and almost all parts of the employee lifecycle are covered. We have been able to use it for about 5 years now and our experience has improved over time.

Cons

Sometimes it can take a while to get issues addressed and the customer support is not always as responsive as it was initially but they seem to have improved this in the past 12 months.

### "Average HR system"

Been forced to tie in to another contract due to change from e services to "upgraded system" 10 weeks notice for us to consider the new product, get comparison quotes from other suppliers was not enough time for us given the resources of our company. Will consider not renewing at next available opportunity.

Could access support fairly quickly when telephone contact was available ( this facility no longer exists)

Reports/Queries - Excel based, very clumsy navigation, massvie amont of manual manipulation to get reports required

I use Access PeopleHR for managing employees, holidays, and performance. It provides seamless integration with payroll and LMS, making processes easier. However, the interface could improve to match competitors like Hibob. We switched from Workday due to headcount reduction. Setup was easy with available training sessions. I would rate it a 7 out of 10 for recommendation.

Pros

I really appreciate how Access PeopleHR makes managing employees, holidays, performance, and other relevant personnel details more seamless, which truly enhances the user experience by streamlining HR processes. I am impressed by its ability to connect with other Access products, such as payroll and the Learning Management System (LMS), which greatly simplifies the task of adding employees to different platforms, ensuring they are readily available when needed. This integration also makes assigning learning through the LMS platform straightforward and efficient, contributing significantly to a more cohesive and easy-to-manage HR infrastructure. Additionally, the setup process was fairly easy, and I benefited from the training sessions provided, which facilitated a smooth transition and quick adoption of the software.

Cons

I find the interface of Access PeopleHR could be improved to match the standards of other HR competitors like HiBob.

Overall, Access PeopleHR is a capable system, great to see all the positive improvements being made, but cost and support considerations may impact its suitability for smaller organisations.

Pros

We've been using PeopleHR for some time now and it's encouraging to see the considerable improvements being made to the system. The enhancements are clearly aimed at improving functionality and user experience, which is great to see.

Cons

These upgrades have come with a noticeable increase in cost. As a small to medium-sized enterprise, affordability is a key factor for us, and unfortunately, the pricing may soon put the platform out of reach. While we appreciate the value of innovation, we hope PeopleHR will consider more flexible pricing options to support SMEs who still want access to a robust HR solution without compromising their budgets. Support has historically been a weak point, but I’ve seen encouraging signs of improvement in this area recently, which makes a real difference in day-to-day use.

### "Seamless time efficiencies for all"

Seamless database and comms platform for employees, driving time efficiencies across the business. The reports have been especially useful, with incredible flexibility in making the system work best for us. Reports take seconds to run, compared to painful minutes with our last system.

Pros

It's functionality and ability to have everything in one place. Also, the time efficiencies within the system, moving to electronic signatures, filed in relevant places, saving employees and managers time. It has enabled us to engage our employees with a modern platform that keeps them informed of their details and has improved communication across the business. A great level of flexibility and ease of pulling reports.

Cons

Time management is not as functional as we would like, with our complex rotas, however I recognise that PeopleHR is not a time management system. We have made it work for us.

Overall peopleHR works very well for us, recent improvements to documentation management have made compliance much easier to stay on top of, and searching information. Approval processes for things other than leave is still clunky.

Pros

Flexibility in logbook design and approval, ability to work with complex working hours patterns and leave approval from email. We have also been able to integrate into payroll and expenses management saving lots of duplication.

Cons

approvals for anything other than leave are clunky, as there is no link in email to take you to the record, and when navigating manually, the default drops onto leave approvals.

### "PeopleHR pros and cons"

We use the basic functionality for booking leave, sick, personal details etc. There are some things that are frustrating but the basic use is good.

Pros

User friendly layout, ability to access on an app. Some help guides are very helpful. AI bot is ok.

Cons

Do 'reset password' function, queries are super confusing to set up (not intuitive at all), as HR Manager & Admin on PeopleHR I do not get automatic notification if someone is marked as sick, even though I'm supposed to go in a mark that I've been notified?

### "Good product but terrible customer service."

I have used PeopleHR for around 10 years. It is very easy for administrators and individuals users to use with limited training. Over the years, it has become increasingly pricey and the customer service has gone downhill. It is very difficult to get hold of anyone and when you do, it's as if they are following a script. Customer satisfation is not a priority.

Pros

The software is very easy to use and it's a good place to store data. It is also a useful tool for emailing internal comms and documentation.

Cons

Customer service is appaling. You can never get hold of anyone and even when you do, they do not return your calls and emails. The business puts profit before customer satisfaction.

### "Easy to use system"

Mainly very user friendly. Looking at information or finding information straight forward. Also running reports/queries very useful and easy to do with lots of options.

Pros

Ease of use. For inputting employee information it's easy to follow, especially the planner section. The support message set up is great. Easy to use and responses usually fix the query and give good clear guidance on how to action something.

Cons

I can always see the full screen, often the side bar is missing in the new view so I have to go back to the classic view. It would be good to be able to edit the leavers wizard once the person has left as we do exit interviews and sometime need to add that information in.

It’s pretty straightforward HR platform and the service is good. No major complaints. We’ve recently looked at alternatives and decided to stay with PeopleHR.

Pros

It’s a good central point for all employee documents. Customer service is pretty good - I usually get a very quick response with any queries.

Cons

I’d like to be able to delete completed tasks in bulk. I’d like to be able to see more information on the training logbook screen rather than only three columns. I would also really find it useful to have duplicate tabs open.

Overall good experience however some of the reporting is a bit difficult to use. Maybe look at an easier way to create and tailor reports to suit the needs of different people.

Pros

Good value for money. User friendly and easy to use. Its good for employees to boo holidays and its useful that theres an app.

Cons

The customer service. Sometimes its not very quick and it would be useful to be able to pick up the phone and speak to someone quickly.

I like the system. however the Ripple was a product I thought would help with tracking training forms etc. It's not quite worked out that way.

Pros

The Planner and being able to view and track absences more efficiently. The alerts for absences are also useful.

Cons

Ripple is not easy to use. Setting up and query in one page then a Ripple on another page is clunky and inefficient.

Easy to use, good support and value for money. The resources are clear and easy to use when you have a question.

Pros

The system produces easy to use reports. The ATS is really good. Performance Management is made easy.

Cons

TOIL can only be recorded in days not hours. This is something that causes an issue currently. It would be fantastic if this were improved.

### "User Friendly Database"

PeopleHR provides an accurate employee database, which is user friendly at all levels. It provides an accurate employee database, with the ability for employees to manage their own personnel record. Customer support is easy to contact and they are fairly helpful

Pros

The system is user friendly for both administrators and the end user. The reporting function is extremely helpful when specific employment information is required

Cons

I am not keen on the new layout, I prefer the older layout, but this is probably just down to user preference. There are elements of the system which are unused and we should explore further

### "All HR functions in one place"

My overall experience has been nothing but positive, and as mentioned, you need to grasp all the elements of this package to fully appreciate how it helps with the HR functions overall.

Pros

We use a number of products from the Access Group with one of them being PeopleHR, as it manages our HR processes with ease. The level of support provided by Access is second to none - with any query responded to and resolved quickly. This represents great value for money, with very little time spent by the team on understanding bugs and issues, which the team at Access do on our behalf. Having over 400+ employees, this system manages everything from online collaboration, to holiday bookings and accruals and even the performance management processes.

Cons

There's so much functionality that it takes a long time to fully grasp, but if you dedicate the time to learn, you will eventually reap the benefits.

Pros

The system is fairly straightforward, making it easy for staff to understand and navigate. Good to have the option of the App for staff

Cons

A new process was introduced on 1 December 2025, requiring users to raise cases only from within the App. However, this raises concerns about what to do if the system is down. The suggested alternative is to call the provided number, but that number is not valid. Additionally, their website at https://status.peoplehr.com/ claims there are no issues, even though there is a Cloudflare problem affecting access. I have also repeatedly requested, along with many others, that the default view under tasks should show only open tasks. This feedback has been ignored, and I am forced to manually select the option to hide completed tasks every single time. It is frustrating to have to see all my closed tasks from years ago when I only want to focus on what is currently open. There are many many items suggested for improvement on their site but nothing seems to be forthcoming

### "Easy to use! "

Easy to use! Does the job and we have used it effectively for the last 6 years. It serves it's purpose and I like how it links to an ATS system.

Pros

The system is easy to use and can be used across the business at all different levels. It is easy to request holidays using the mobile app.

Cons

I think as a business grows, the system is less easy to use as it is quite manual. There is a lot of information that needs entering and could be done incorrectly due to human error. I would like to be able to lock down areas of the system and give more access to specific areas that are included in the 'super admin' access to those that don't need all access.
