### "A very good HRIS"

It's been really good. I've used lots of HRIS over my career and this is one of the better ones. The continued development has meant that we've been able to stay with them rather than out growing them.

Pros

It's constantly been developed and improved. There is a portal for feedback and development requests. It's generally simple to use for HR depts, managers and individuals.

Cons

Some of the newer areas in Evo don't feel as supported, or that there is as much knowledge and guides.

Most suited to the needs of this business. It's the first HRIS they've had so needed to have simple to use but be able to build it as they became more used to it. I was a one person HR dept so I it needed to streamline my work.

### "More pro's than con's"

Generally a good platform, could do with more development on reporting and integration rather than UI

Pros

Dashboards are nice, the UI is quite slick and the updates to functionality over the past 18 months have been welcome.

Cons

Reporting is clunky and difficult to adjust, with many of the filters lacking intuition. Sometimes the system kicks you out without warning.

### "Great and easy to use for small team "

Was good while we had a small team but now we have expanded it needs more automation but it was user friendly while we had this.

Pros

What I liked most about Access PeopleHR was how intuitive and user-friendly the system is — it made everyday HR tasks much quicker and easier. I really appreciated how centralised everything is — from onboarding to performance reviews, I had all key HR data in one place.

Cons

What I liked least was that some features felt a bit limited or basic compared with more advanced HR systems. The automation could be smarter — it sometimes required manual checks where more automation would help.

### "Something Very Good - Help us get there"

It is good and I know there is a lot of shortcomings our side, but that is due to the HR manager, who first introduces PeopleHR left and handover has not been fantastic so we have not kept abreast with really getting to know the system. Seems to be too complicated to "take stock"

The possibilities of how the HR function could be managed. We lack the insight to unlock potential.

Support at a level that has some insight into our organisational structure and requirements is not available.

It could be a really good system and we thought it would be but after the system was integrated we were left alone, couldn't make contact with anyone for further questions and realised a lot of what we were sold didn't exist. We are looking at putting in a complaint.

Pros

Certain aspects are good ie. the ease of adding changes on paycircle, the link between PeopleHR & Paycircle (although not all data links). The news option is good for notifying staff of updates.

Cons

Unfortunately we are finding that we were sold something different to what we have with the system. The training matrix side is not good and doesn't show the information we want it to, the customer service side is not good, it's impossible to speak to someone and nobody emails back. Lateness is not automatic so those occurrences get missed, overtime is also manual. There's no automatic email notifications to managers for training expiry dates. There is no option to notify staff that a document has been added to their documents unless you click "signature required" but not all documents need a signature. It's just all a lot of work and not user friendly. Our Team Leaders and Managers constantly give poor feedback.

### "HR People Review "

So far, after sorting out some issues with Access directly we have had a good experience mostly other than the points mentioned in the previous question..

Pros

I like how easy it is to use. It has all the features I would expect from a HRIS system in once place which make my role much easier and I can support staff more efficiently.

Cons

Customer support - including invoices we receive. Often these are incorrect. We challenge these and it is weeks before we often get a response from someone at Access.

### "Great piece of Software, but not cheap"

Overall it is a powerful software with a lot of great integration with other systems. It also has good customer support. However, the UI is dated and the API's are difficult to use in some instances (for example the work pattern endpoint is complex).

Pros

It has every feature that we need, and the support is quite good. The integration with other systems is also great.

Cons

The API access is not the best and has not been updated in a while. The UI is quite old fashioned and dated. It is very expensive for what you get.

### "Great system for growing businesses."

Overall a positive experience, we didn't have a centralised HR system previously and relied on calendars and spreadsheets, using People HR gives control to authorisations and builds robust process to help keep us on track.

Pros

Straight forward system with some nice in-built templates and processes, helps a growing company like ours to manage staff without going too far, while also knowing the system is scaleable. The App is great to help staff submit expenses and book leave. Custom reporting is great.

Cons

Some areas can be hard to customise and end up changing processes to fit system rather than vice versa.

Overall, PeopleHR is a reliable and easy to use use HR system that covers the essentials really well. It simplifies admin, keeps everything organised, and is approachable for employees and managers. While there are areas that could be a bit more flexible, the team are always open to change and feedback and it’s a strong, practical system for small to mid sized organisations looking for something straightforward and effective.

Pros

Value for Money - Overall, PeopleHR feels fairly priced for what you get. It covers most of the core HR tasks without forcing you into lots of added extras, which I appreciate. You do sometimes need the higher plans for more advanced bits, but for day to day HR, it does the job well. Customer Support - Support is great and the help centre is useful and the ticketing system works well! If your query is straightforward, it's answered quickly anything slightly technical can take a bit longer. Ease of Use - This is one of the strongest parts. It’s very straightforward, easy to navigate, and people tend to pick it up quickly with little training. Employee Management - Employee records are easy to update and keep tidy, and the performance management tools (logbook, goals, reviews) are actually really helpful. It keeps everything in one place and reduces the number of spreadsheets floating around. Reporting - Reporting is decent and you get a mix of preset templates and the ability to build your own. For most HR reporting needs, it’s perfectly fine. If you’re after something highly bespoke or very data heavy, you may end up exporting to Excel. Some of the key tools I find useful: ATS for recruitment Holiday and absence management Performance reviews Employee self‑service Document storage

Cons

The only thing is that support can be slower at busier times and while the chatbot is really useful for directing to the right place I sometimes find it hard to get through to a human!

It's okay. It does the job and is fairly straightforward to navigate, but it doesn't mould to or grow with the organisation which is problematic when business moves rapidly.

Pros

It's easy to use and fairly methodical when navigating. There are lots of features and functions available depending on how much or little is needed.

Cons

The lack of flexibility in applying the functions and features is frustrating. Not being able to design the layout, fields and permissions to best reflect my organisation impacts the agility of the platform. It feels a bit clonky to use sometimes

Support is responsive, and the system works relatively well. centralised documents and some levels of granulated admin access. Not the cheapest product when compared to other products on the market that offers similar and in some areas better end user experience.

Pros

Able to manage aspects of staff HR needs in terms of holiday, and reviews. good for document centralisation and record keeping. Scheduling holidays and staff absences works well. The Mobile app is very useful and a great feature for the areas that it supports

Cons

The system is not always intuitive, reporting is fiddly and not easy to set up for bespoke dates + output formats are not always user friendly. Equipment management could be more dynamic and not all features such as setting up LOS rules are not easy to work.

### "A solid HR system"

I do feel quicker customer service response would be of great value, it does take some time to hear back.

Pros

Employee management and absence management works quite well. It is somewhat easy to use for staff. I do like the dashboard and the reporting features too although their lay out could be improved.

Cons

The fact that scheduled leave is visible to all team members, which some employees mind. The signable documents do not work as well as on other platforms like Sage HR. Adding employee manually is a tedious task especially after all that information have already been entered into our payroll software. It would be good to be able to simply import things across platforms.

### "User friendly, but customer service lacking"

Overall, very user friendly, if customer service improved drastically I would have no complaints. Renewal process was straightforward, but last year there was a problem with billing that took months to resolve, so that has made me cautious about the renewal this year.

Pros

Easy to use, simple and straight forward. Reporting tool is easy to use but doesn't always filter correctly. Bulk uploads are easy too and the visibility of the leave planner is really useful.

Cons

Reporting historical data could be better, for example you cannot report previous holiday entitlements as it always give the current entitlement, or reporting previous job titles etc. You cannot make changes to become effective in the future. Customer service could be improved drastically, it is not easy to submit a ticket and then it takes so long to get a resolution, often the responses are not helpful or correct.

Overall my experience has been great, the support team are very helpful and responsive and there is a huge amount of information and learning materials available to better understand the platform.

Pros

The customisation is great, being able to adapt reports and performance reviews as well as having access to all employee data in one place.

Cons

It’s quite confusing to understand the levels of access that you have. PeopleHR seems to constantly improve but without paying extra you don’t get to avail of a lot of the improvements.

### "Smooth App"

I really appreciate the new updates and they seem to simplify my work however I do wish that there was a simple chat box to type in a question rather than the automated limited options.

Pros

I'm a big fan of the new set up on the PC site as well as the mobile app. Setting up a new employee on PHR is much smoother now.

Cons

Sometimes the system rebels and gives me a challenge to figure out why something isn't working as it should be e.g. holiday calculations from one year to another.

### "A system that is improving "

We have been using PeopleHR for just over 6 years now. About 4 years ago we were concerned that the platform wasn't meeting our needs, but we can now see positive developments and improvements in the different features and associated apps.

As a cloud based platform, it was relatively easy to transfer data from our previous HRIS. The platform also includes (or links to) other Access products such as LMS, performance module etc. We've noticed an improvement in product development comms over the past 2 years, they seem to be investing more money in improving the different elements.

Cons

Some functions still feel quite 'clunky' (eg the ATS, the use of logbooks, the built-in performance module etc). It also took some work to design and set up the ripples/workflows that we use for much of our reporting and notifications.

Positive, especially as I become more confident using the software. They have good customer service and support available. It can optimise workflows if time is taken to set these up and use Access PeopleHR to its full potential, if this was done it would save time during recruitment, employee management and payroll, so I hope to implement this soon.

Pros

Good customer support and communication. I like the report building function which can be amended as per my needs, saved as templates and easily exported. It is useful for employee management tracking an employee's lifetime with the organisation all in one place, including any supporting documentation which can be categorised. I use it to collate payroll information and run month-end reports to ensure nothing is missed.

Cons

At times it can feel a little clunky to navigate, but recent improvements have helped ease of use to improve. Compared to other software options it does offer value for money, however I do not feel we use all of the functions available to optimise use, I wonder if this is down to time setting them up or training required.

Really positive overall, best system ever used. The system allows you to easily maage your employees, run reports, issue notifications, reminders etc.

Pros

Wide range of areas that link intot he HR Employee Cycles, i.e. ATS, Training, absence management, Ripple notifications, HRMI reporting etc.

Cons

Some of the modules do not allow user to customise, i.e. notifications on employee performance and scoring wording.

### "Very Poor Product"

Overall very poor, would not recommend. We will not be renewing our contract. Lots of compliance issues, system is clunky and it's not presentable. It doesn't look like a finished product.

Pros

Ability to create logbooks is helpful for running internal processes however there are lots of limitations e.g. logbooks cannot be printed and the landing page for logbooks looks terrible like a program that is still in testing phase.

Cons

Software was oversold from the beginning, it's clunky and the consultants don't know the product well. It was supposed to integrate with our payroll system (another Access Group product), but the consultants were unable to provide a correct demonstration of how this would occur. Performance management module is inflexible and out of date with modern concepts of Performance Management. There is a major flaw with the employee documents section where if you give employees access, they can delete their own documents. There are lots of compliance risks and red flags too we have had to engage lawyers due to employee complaints about certain information being made available on the system which is in breach of privacy laws. Despite raising these issues repeatedly, we are not seeing any improvement in the product or the level of support provided.

i have always felt confident that once an employee has been added all the correct information for them is available and that using a platform removes the pressure for holiday requests on the spot -gives you time to check that nobody else is away etc as this info is also given before a discission

i would like to be able to load my own documents if there are any changes to be made to contracts etc

I don't like the limitations of the system, I have had to find a lot of work arounds that we can't do anything about. I don't need anyone to reach out to me about it, I've already gone through this many times with you guys - it just is what it is.

Overall, I’ve had a very positive experience with PeopleHR. The digital assistant is helpful and easy to use, and I really appreciate how easy it is to speak directly to an agent whenever I need extra support. Each time I’ve reached out, the agents have been friendly, approachable, and willing to take the time to help me work through any questions. The system makes booking holidays, hospital appointments, and sickness quick and straightforward, which removes a lot of stress from managing time off. I also find the layout clear and easy to navigate, with everything I need accessible in just a few clicks. It’s convenient to check information, update details, and keep track of requests without any confusion. There have been occasional minor issues, such as reminders being sent for old events or the mobile app crashing from time to time, but these tend to get resolved and haven’t taken away from the overall positive experience.

Pros

I really like the digital assistant and how easy it is to speak directly to an agent. It is easy to schedule holidays, hospital appointments and sickness. I have had really good experiences when speaking directly to agents and they're always happy to help me try and figure stuff out.

Cons

PeopleHR sends shift managers reminders for years-old events, and the mobile app crashes repeatedly.

Overall, it's a product that I feel is value for money, it does have limitations as it's designed for a small-medium business, but it works fine for what we need.

Pros

The planner section is great so enable managers to schedule their teams workload. I like that the people profiles help managers to manage their employees and gives them an oversight of information. The profiles are also clear and easy to use on the surface. However, the intricacies behind some of the processes can be confusing to managers.

Cons

The reporting is complex and not easy to set up. I also found that there was a lack of analytics available, however, we have recently upgraded out package, so hopefully we'll see a difference. I was also disappointed with the lack of AI available, but again, with the upgrade we're hoping to see some new AI features. I have found the customer service to be wanting, I don't feel that we have always had the best support.
