For example, for me, it has been as easy as typing a text and select the language and accent I wanted and generate the speech. Pros I used the free trial and I liked the fact that I could choose among multiple languages and accents. For example, I am a native Spanish speaker, in this case from Colombia. I wanted to generate a demo speech in Colombian Spanish and I found that option. I liked the result a lot. The voice sounded so natural as if it was produced by a real human female. Cons I did not like the fact that I could not download the speech generated. I mean, the allowed content with the free trial is limited, as there are only 5 minutes/month available. At least, I would have expected that this generated content could be downloaded. Super deceiving. I don't trust the brand at all! I will warn as many people as I can Pros None. Cons They market as "free" but it's not. You can't download unless you pay, which is fine. But they also don't tell you certain features are not available to all plans but the most expensive one, such as water mark in your video, or voices. Basically unless you pay $350USD a year, you get nothing. But of course, you don't find out until AFTER you've purchased the plan. Super deceiving. Buyers be aware! So if you compare their most expensive plan with other text- voice tools, they are much much more expensive. Pros I purchased a lifetime deal through Appsumo so the price was very affordable Cons I was not able to deploy this product. I attempted to use it to create an IVR for our phone system. The voices were robotic sounding, used odd inflection, and straight up skipped certain bits of text. I spent way too much time (several hours at least) trying to compensate by trying different voices, intentionally misspelling words to try and get the pronunciation and inflection dialed in, etc, before finally giving up. But as it turns out it has been a total waste of money as I am going to have to redo everything I've used it for as I will no longer be able to edit it or add things using the same character voice. We use voices for specific characters in our case studies, but then Lovo delete the voices. That makes it a hugely expensive in time and money. I really wish I'd never heard of this product. Pros I don't like anything about it at all any more. Lovo have turned my view of them on its head, well done. It's a four letter word here. Cons You can't trust this company and its software. They DELETE VOICES without warning, with no explanation and no apology or understanding of the customer perspective at all. AVOID, do not buy, do not risk it or you may waste a lot of time using a voice which disappears. The basic disregard of customers who have creative projects that they may need to continue with or to edit in the future shows a complete lack of understanding of their service. A company is/should be more than the technology it uses, don't be fooled. You can ONLY use this for one-off projects you will never need to change. No way could you charge customers for videos using these voices is there, think about it, what if they ask for edits and you can't do it. Log in, choose your voice you would like, enter your text, convert, and play your audio file. It's that simple. You can increase/decrease the speed of the voice, emphasize certain words and even train the voice to pronounce words properly. Cons When I first started with LOVO Studio, they were a brand new product and there were some occasional errors. However, I have seen this company grow and their product has matured. For our case not easy to use with larger text that we want to control. Pros The output of the voice are still not 100% human, some of them however are surprisingly good. Not yet found alternatives with that quality in that price segment Cons The way they work with paragraphs. It is hard to control how lines and paragraphs are treated manually and it will cost you a lot of time. I dont like software to decide what is a line or a sentence and it influences the oversight and also the voice over.
