Being able to securely store and access sensitive information is great. Cons You can't always get reports exactly like you want and with that being said they are upgrading and bringing more flexibility to reports that we can customize. Cost-wise, amount of features and how often Office Ally is looking to improve its product. Pros We've been using Practice Mate for 6 years. While it started off free, they kept it free for as long as they could. Eventually it had to change and it's still very affordable. Customer support hasn't been top notch but I believe Office Ally is working on that. Technology has it's hiccups but we rarely have any issues. Our claims are generally seamless with an occasional issue because of the way payers change their standards. The features make it easy to customize the way we use them with being able to bring reports into Excel! Patients' billing statements, especially are user friendly. All in all, Office Ally's Practice Mate seems to have outstanding security with no issues that I'm aware of. Cons Practice Mate has so-so customer support as of late. The past they were much better. Lately, the people answering the requests aren't as thorough to troubleshoot questions. If there is any confusion at all, the Customer Service Team at Office Ally clears it up, swiftly. Cons Sometimes the transition between screens lags, and other times an insurance claim will go through more than once. This results in claims being rejected as "Duplicates," when in fact, they were inputted only once. It is easy to navigate and use even for someone like me who is NOT tech savvy. Cons I won't lie, I like the older classic version than the newer version but that is only because I did not want to take the time to learn how to navigate the newer version. For tech savvy people this would be a really useful tool to help manage a practice. It saves me time and offers me efficient and easy back up if there’s any insurance delay or challenge. Pros The learning curve is very simple. The efficiency of submitting my claims each week is phenomenal. I have great back up if there’s any question as to what was submitted. It makes billing easy and following up with my clients very easy. Cons Not much. It is easier than you think and rewarding. Pros Once I learned practice mate, it name quite easy to use and I have rarely had a problem that could not be fixed. Customer service has been fantastic, though I have rarely needed it. I love doing my own billing! Cons I was a little concerned when the rates were raised twice in a year and am hoping that they stay stable. I have gotten several others to use Practice Mate and successfully trained them on it.
