### "Udemy Business is Great for Small Teams"

October 27, 2025

5.0

My partner and I are working on AWS Certifications to satisfy the requirements of an existing client. We were able to accomplish our certs by using the certification prep courses and both passed our certs the first time.

Pros

I can purchase Udemy Business for a team size of only 2 which allows me to buy for both myself and my business partner. Other plans want at least 5 team members.

Cons

The Team Plan does not have access to all courses. You have to upgrade to Enterprise and that requires 20+ team members to access.

Overall, Udemy Business offers flexible, accessible learning with a wide range of courses, though content quality can vary.

Pros

I loved Udemy Business’s vast course library and flexible learning, making skill development easy, engaging, and accessible anytime.

### "Weeks without a resolution"

January 22, 2026

1.0

I created and published several courses on Udemy and, as expected, went through the normal back-and-forth during the review process to ensure everything met their requirements. My courses were approved, published, and began gaining traction. I invested significant personal time and money into marketing them, enrollments increased, and the reviews were very positive. Every review was 4 or 5 stars and the written feedback was great. Then, months after launch, I discovered that all of my courses had suddenly been marked as “banned” and unpublished, with no prior warning. There's no phone number listed to receive help and when I contacted the only email address I could find, I had to wait, only to be told that my courses were unpublished due to alleged AI-generated content and a lack of “human oversight.” This was frustrating, as it’s simply not true, and Udemy had already reviewed them and stated them good for publishing. I personally wrote the content of all courses, created the slides myself, put everything together and uploaded everything myself. I explained this and even provided screenshots and clear evidence to support this, showing my entire process. Since then, communication has been extremely disappointing. I have to wait for days and all I get is unpersonal, repetitive and canned replies that restate the same incorrect verbiage, that doesn't even address the evidence I’ve shared or suggest a resolution. There is no phone number to call, and despite multiple requests to speak with someone who can actually help resolve the issue, weeks have passed with no meaningful response or resolution. What’s most concerning is that this situation is Udemy's clear lack of respect or consideration for instructors that create the content that their company profits from. I've now spent so many hours and so much money in creating and marketing these courses, and it seems to me that Udemy would rather waste my time and money instead of doing the right thing and actually helping to reslove the situation. it's been weeks now, and I still cannot find anyone from Udemy to actually help, while my time and money is wasted and students are unable to access the courses that were created with the expertise and the quality production tht earned such good reviews. All I ask Udemy for is a fair review of the facts and a real conversation, but apparently, their hard-working course creators are not worthy of that.

Pros

I like that (in theory) it will expose my online courses to a broader audience since they have students sign-up and able to search for the type of courses they want to invest in.

Cons

The customer service is really poor and there's a lack of respect shown to those that invest a lot of their time and money in creating the courses that Udemy profit from.

### "Good platform for technical content "

October 31, 2024

4.0

Pros

I liked the wide variety of courses, which provided ample options for tech team development. The platform offered flexibility in course selection, making it easy to find relevant training. You can do exam preparations like mock exams to help with certifications and a lot of the content is approved by the vendor for example AWS or Amazon.

Cons

The lack of customisation options for administrators. It was challenging to tailor the content or track detailed metrics specific to team needs, limiting the control over course delivery. If there was a way to set a priority and then measure learning completion toward that priority skill or subject, that would be useful.

We actually used both platforms but in different teams. The data function felt Pluralsight was the better LMS whilst the tech team wanted Udemy.

### "A Great Resource for Professional Development, but the Platform needs some TLC!"

January 24, 2025

3.0

I enjoyed the Udemy Business platform overall, but ultimately made the decision to make a change on account of the issues with the interface. If you're a smaller organization or a large company that has the back office support, the customization and variety of course subject matter would outweigh the sluggish interface.

Pros

The best attribute of the Udemy platform is the customization. The first being the ability to tailor the content available to your employees. I'm able to be sure the content is relevant and of interest to ensure my team continued to learn and was enthusiastic when doing so.

Cons

The platform/user interface for the app can be sluggish and timeout during "high traffic" times. We've had this occur twice now ahead of our mid-year and annual review cycles when our workforce is attempting to complete their learning path ahead of their performance review. In addition there have been some cases where folks that have completed courses aren't marked as such and had to implement a process where they had to take a screenshot upon completing a training or course which was frustrating and ate up bandwidth across our HR and L&D Teams.

### "Lack of Flexibility and Support for Small Businesses"

November 4, 2024

2.0

I’ve been incredibly disappointed with my experience using Udemy for our business. We initially invested in multiple licenses for our team, expecting it to be a valuable tool for training and development. However, as our financial situation changed, we had to reduce our team size and found ourselves with unused licenses, yet were unable to adjust our subscription accordingly. The most frustrating aspect has been Udemy’s lack of flexibility and understanding. When we reached out to discuss options for reducing our license count and adjusting our billing cycle, we were met with rigidity and indifference. Despite explaining our financial hardship, we were threatened with third-party collections for a recent unpaid bill—adding unnecessary stress during an already challenging time. I’m deeply disappointed with the lack of support for small businesses and the absence of any real customer service that goes beyond basic accounts receivable responses. This experience has been frustrating and has made me question our initial decision to invest in Udemy. I wish I’d done more due diligence and reviewed Udemy’s ratings beforehand, as I now see that other users have faced similar challenges.

Pros

I like their interface and overall navigation of courses.

Cons

Dealing with their after the sale customer service and billing.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your detailed review! Our Team Plan purchases are non-refundable, so we are not able to make any license adjustments at this time (This is based on our Terms and Conditions as stated in our Master Service Agreement: https://www.udemy.com/terms/ub/). I hear your frustration; if you are open to it, I would like to discuss your interaction with us and if there's any other way we can help with your account.

### "Fantasic personal and professional development tool!"

August 30, 2025

5.0

Overall I love this platform for work and personal development. I've found it handy for a plethora of trainings in my field of work.

Pros

Udemy is one of the ways i learn new skills for personal development. When I suggested Udemy business to a supervisor, she jumped on the opportunity to use it. The amount of courses and topics available are amazing and great valuefor the money paid. The security, customer support and student teacher interactions are perfect as well.

Cons

I don't really have any cons, the website is awesome. I guess the only thing that would be a great fix is lettting all the features of the website be available on the app ass well (better communication, file downloads, class video management, etc)

### "Great learning platform"

January 7, 2026

5.0

Excellent learning platform with a lot of courses across topics, with varying degrees of rigour and depth. Good self-paced courses which allow you to plan conveniently.

Pros

Extremely useful courses - both technical and functional. Instructors are good and the self-paced learning pattern is very effective.

Cons

There should be an option to try out Udemy without a business account. It would help gauge the courses & material better.

### "Really great eLearning app - Great for on the go learning."

I like the mobile app version much better than the web based version. I can fast forward to speed up the course or slow down to suit my pace.

Pros

Easy to use, comprehensive courses available. Excellent mobile app. Really useful to make my time more productive when I am on the bus/train.

Cons

Web based version is more limiting than mobile app.

### "Great Tool for Early Career Professionals"

April 18, 2025

5.0

Pros

There are tons of resources available at no cost. You can also put in requests for new courses if there are some that are not currently offered - that is up for review though.

Cons

The offerings for certain areas, i.e. certain technical skills such as TCL scripting, are much more limited when compared to others (i.e. Perl). When requesting new courses, most were denied.

### "Review of Udemy"

October 19, 2024

5.0

Pros

Udemy is great educational platform in which you can find a lot of contents to learn about on an everyday basis. I use it to learn more about Data Science and Data Engineer. So far, I am satisfied

Cons

The cons is that there is a lot of content regarding a same field. Let's say you want to learn python there's a lot of content from different creator and sometimes it's not easy to choose. And when creating a career path, sometimes it suggest a path that can be rather too long so a lot of handmaid customization to do.

### "One of the leading places for acquiring knowledge from courses taught by leading professionals in their industries"

February 5, 2025

Very positive experience given that Udemy is such an easily accessible place to go to acquire further knowledge on a wide range of topics. It is also a wonderful option for taking courses from specific Professors/Instructors and Schools that one might not otherwise have a chance to experience.

Pros

There are endless courses available on any topic you could be seeking more knowledge on. There are also many well known instructors teaching these courses further contributing to the quality of knowledge being shared.

Cons

No cons have been experienced so far. Most topics of interest have been easily found.

### "Continuous learning at an affordable price"

July 19, 2021

4.0

Udemy is an affordable learning platform and offers courses from qualified instructors. There is no time-limit and users can progress at their own pace. It fits well with professionals who are working full-time and could spare only few hours a week to continue their learning. Lack of gamification elements and motivating factors makes Udemy some-what outdated platform. i.e. There is no external tools to push the user to stay on track with their course. Udemy can do better by offering graded quizzes and assessments.

Pros

Udemy offers a wide variety of courses, you may find multiple courses from different instructors on the same subject and the learner can choose the course / instructor that she suits her needs. The recorded video and audio quality is mostly good. The transcript section is extremely useful when following instructors with strong accents. We can also speed up or slow down the video for better listening. The QA section under each course acts as a forum to get our questions clarified. The ability to rate and comments on the course content is good and it helps learners to pick the best content and also helps the instructors to uphold quality.

Cons

Some courses may not be up to standard and the user needs to rely on ratings and comments to find the best course on the subject. There is no built-in tests to evaluate the user's proficiency level. It's up to the user to go through the course index and content to see if it's the right amount of challenge. Once the course is completed, there are no tests to assess our learning / knowledge.

### "J.L. Udemy Business Review"

June 5, 2023

3.0

Udemy Business is a platform that provides organizations with a wide range of online courses for employees to develop various skills that are suited to the workplace. It offers flexibility, diverse content, and self-paced learning. However, course quality varies, there's limited accreditation, and interactions with instructors may be very limited.

Pros

If I am a company/organization, I can assign courses to my employees and track their progress.

Cons

With almost anyone being able to upload courses on the platform, the quality of content posted can vary drastically, and organizations and employees likewise can lose value for money invested.

It is time saving and also avoiding traditional system. Now we can get notes and best lectures at our home on our mobile phone. Its prices of courses are very genuine and can be afford by students community also.We can get extra skills on Udemy also like learning different languages, playing guitar, piano, story telling, playing online games, designing etc.

Cons

#Overall I like it, but few courses are of high cost.#It also need high internet bandwidth to play it.#Some resource persons/ tutor are not well qualified because anyone can put their course on this platform.

### "My Review of Udemy Business"

June 16, 2022

2.0

My overall experience with Udemy Business is not good and I don't enjoy using it.

Pros

I like the variety of content offered by Udemy Business in different disciplines. Udemy Business offers most of the courses at low prices with huge discounts. I also like the recommendation system of Udemy Business as it always suggests courses in the same track I am following

Cons

There are no specializations in Udemy Business that takes you from the beginner level to the advanced level. The interface of Udemy Business is very bad and not organized at all. Most of the courses offered by Udemy Business are offered by non-professional people, anyone literally can publish his/her course through their platform.
