It started okay when we first signed up, then it all went downhill when they expanded before they had the actual capacity to do so. The platform was a mess—inconsistent and S L O W. Customer service went from fairly prompt responses, though their ability to resolve issues was extremely common, to waiting days or a week to reply (even in an existing thread) with no resolution or straight up gaslighting. My favorite example: we paid them extra for their built-for-you service, where we were taught how to use the mass SMS service properly. It worked well for quite some time, and we suddenly ended up having constant problems with SMS in our last few months with BB. They told us it wasn't designed for mass SMS, even though they specifically marketed it that way and had an entire program built around it. 0/10 recommendation.

Pros

After three years of using this "marketing suite", there is nothing I can say is a pro.

Cons

Clunky and not intuitive at all. Things do not consistently work. POOR customer service. If they ever get back to you, it's typically with gaslighting.

Brandbot is a great marketing tool for businesses. Once you take time to deep dive into all of the features, you can use it in a multitude of ways to help benefit your business.

Pros

How you can see the statistics of everything sent out. For example, if you send out an email you can see stats such as "how many people opened", " how many bounced", "how many unsubscribed".

Cons

Would love to see a few more options for email layout customizations

The system is so easy to use and truly customize. It integrates easily with the top fitness software making it seemless to use

It's been a NIGHTMARE! The single worst software rollout I have ever experienced.

Pros

I love that the software is designed to link with Pike13, pull data, and enable automated triggers for text, email, etc.

Cons

It does not work! We signed up in December, and it's now March and the automated campaigns are STILL NOT WORKING! I've been told things are fixed and we can go live at least 3 times and each time I've found that it is still not working properly. While the customer service rep has been pleasant, he has failed to provide any solid information. And it often takes days to get a response from them (and even then - I have to keep emailing to get them to respond). At one point they even triggered a MASS communication to our ENTIRE customer database which led to HOURS of customer service as we responded to angry customers and had LOTS of customers ask to be taken out of our database. It's been a nightmare. I only stuck it out this long because of all the time we invested setting up email and text campaigns that would have to be re-invested if we switch to another platform. But if they can't get their platform working soon - we will be moving elsewhere.

Reasons for choosing BrandBot

The only reason we chose BrandBot was that it reportedly integrated with Pike13. But that's not proven to be true.

From initially setting up my campaigns to customer support the team at Brandbot has been very supportive. I have always had whatever issue I had resolved in a timely manner.

Pros

I love that I can see at a glance when someone signs up for a MINDBODY profile right away. I love the SMS chat feature and the mobile capability. This allows me to communicate with my members right away. Creating newsletters is super easy. Auto campaigns are easy to set up. Love how we can create segments to filter certain groups.

Cons

There isn’t anything I least like. I love all of the current features. If anything, I would like to see an easier way to send out mass texts.

Was good until they stopped caring about the product and their customers. If you are considering Brandbot for your fitness business, just don't. Choose another product.

Pros

This company had such promise. The current version was positioned to solve the customer journey and marketing automation challenges of small boutique fitness studios.

Cons

They simply stopped developing it. They made promises of feature improvements but never delivered. They rolled out new feature buttons on the platform with a coming soon label on them. Unfortunately, they never delivered the features. In speaking with their support they said their developer (singular) quit and they haven't been able to rehire. That was 6 months ago. They advertise that they have Mindbody integration, however, what they don't tell you is that it is not a real time integration. In runs on a polling interval of 15 min to 4 hours. This kind of gap is unacceptable for automation sequences that are supposed to fire immediately after a customer performs an action. Finally, I can tell you that the team at Brandbot just doesn't care about their customers. During the US Thanksgiving 2020 they shut down their support for 4 days so that the staff could "enjoy the holiday with family," said the message in their website chat bot. They are a marketing platform that serves an international customer base! And their leadership team thought it was a good idea to close support on the biggest shopping weekend of the year in North America. I can attest that their product broke suring this period and stopped sending email and sms campaigns and nobody was around to even answer support tickets let alone attempt to fix the issue.
