My overall experience with Buildr has been great. From the initial sales call, to implementation, and now using it for a few years, the entire experience has been great. The team at Buildr is extremely helpful, and the platform is functioning how we need it to!

Pros

What I like most about Buildr is how user-friendly it is for our team members. From entering leads or pursuits to building reports and project views, it is very easy to navigate.

Cons

What I like least about Buildr is that we occasionally run into a situation where we cannot customize something exactly how we want ot see it. We typically find a workaround that is sufficient.

My favorite software we use because they listen to your requests/frustrations. They have simple and easy to use customization, so you can tweak it to your criteria without spending time on money setting it up. The integration of precon and workforce saves us hours of collecting data. It is truly a preconstruction software.

Pros

Ease of implementation and adoption by our staff. Out-of-the box features that are useful and easy to use. Only took a day to trransfer data from previous software and we were using it the next day.

Cons

Marketing campaigns and outreach tracking. Wish it had a little more planning involved and tools on the marketing side.

bouncing around between too many different programs was taking up too much time. having to constantly gather data from each program and then make sure its updated in the other programs is frustrating and leads to mistakes. Needed a program where everything is in the same place. Saves a lot of time.

Overall, I would say the product more than exceeded our expectations for onboarding time, adoption success and ease of use. Anytime we have a question their customer service is extremely quick with responses, and they do their best to accommodate custom requests that have helped us tremendously.

Pros

I love how intuitive and easy to adopt the platform is. We onboard new employees often and this is one of the easiest tools for them to adopt and start using right away. The ability to see all of our data for projects and people in one place is a phenomenal tool.

Cons

We're an old school company that relies on printed out reports for reviews in meetings. While it's not difficult for a normal user to hop in and find the information he needs, asking an executive to setup filters or sort to get to the information can be challenging.

Both our BD department and our Estimating Team have appreciated what Buildr has done for us. We've taken preconstruction to a more efficient level. The support and the people have been great to work with.

Pros

Easy set up. Excellent, proactive support. Always upgrading. Brings our whole preconstruction process together. Using data to provide quick budgeting for potential clients.

Cons

Can be a bit clunky/non-intuitive when navigating. I would like the CRM to have the ability to create promo material, but it is not focused in that way.

Insightly CRM isn't construction focused and doesn't include the estimating/data features that Buildr brings. Buildr puts it all together so our preconstruction team is unified with it.

FollowUp had a better CRM offering, particularly with presentations and creative, but wasn't as strong on the precon/estimating side of things and ultimately our need was greater on that side. We can adapt the CRM side more easily. TopBuilder was priceier and less intuitive than Buildr. Seemed like a much tougher onboarding process as well.

Great experience. Easy to use, onboarding and support team have been fantastic, and it's what we have been looking for to integrate all of our departments and have a shared database of information.

Pros

Ease of implementation, use and the support team is very receptive to feedback. Additionally, it combines what would normally take 3-4 different platforms and combines it all into one.

Cons

Nothing so far, it's been great to use and covers most of what we need out of the software. No software will do 100% of what every single company needs.

My overall experience with Buildr is positive. I would recommend it to anyone in our industry. The user friendly aspect is very beneficial when trying to learn it quickly.

Pros

Buildr is easy to use for anyone and allows you to stay more organized when it comes to job opportunites.

Cons

Buildr, if not used correctly can be difficult to undo and correct mistakes. For example, inputting jobs more than once can be a challenge to get rid of as well as keeping track of job importance.

I use Buildr to track potential leads and focus efforts on promising ones. I appreciate its ability to track specific projects I'm involved with, and I frequently use the feature showing recent project comments. However, I'd like notifications for projects lacking comments after 30 days via email. Setup was easy, aided by videos and assistance options. I haven't integrated it with other tools and didn't switch from another product, and I rate my likelihood to recommend Buildr as a 10.

Pros

I like that I can track all of the potential projects that I specifically am working on, and see what the cost of my overall pipeline is.

Cons

The thing I liked least about Buildr is that it does not give notification for projects that have not had comments in the last 30 days.

I use Buildr for estimating and tracking bids, enjoying its ability to sort by type, phase, and company. Buildr seamlessly integrates with Procore, which led us to switch from another product. While initial setup was easy for me, navigation can be tricky for new users. I would rate Buildr an 8 out of 10 for recommendation.

Pros

I like Buildr's ability to easily sort bids by type, phase, and company. It allows me to track all of our bids, their prices, and status. I also appreciate its compatibility with Procore, which was a key reason for switching to Buildr.

Cons

It can be a bit difficult to navigate the site to find what you want for new users. But that can be resolved by spending time in the software and becoming familiar with it.

We've been using it for two years and it has helped bring our team together on tracking pursuits. We're very happy with the product so far and look forward to continue to expand our use and integration into our other platforms.

Pros

The pros for me are that it is easy to setup and use, collaborative, leads vs projects (opportunities), workforce planner, unlimited views with useful filters, custom fields, and the integration with Procore. We haven't had a chance to use the forecast, budget, and cost modeling feature due to a limitation on our end, but once we adopt the new accounting software and update our CSI Master cost code list.

Cons

The biggest con for me is that there is no good way to track re-bids or projects that bid more than once. We do a lot of preliminary pricing that typically has more than one pricing exercise. The reporting feature could also use some much needed improvement to allow us to have more control over formatting and dashboard creation.

Very positive. Nice snapshot of opportunities. I like that it can be filtered in many different ways.

Pros

It is very accessible and user friendly. I like that it syncs with Procore. It is great to present and pull live data from.

Cons

Sometimes when scrolling through leads you can not see everything right away. you have to scroll up and back down multiple times.

I use Buildr for Construction CRM, Estimating, and VE Tracking. It provides a single source of truth for customer relations and expedites estimating abilities. I appreciate its clean interface and project budget tracking but feel the estimating tool could benefit from improvements like report customization and item ordering. The setup is straightforward.

Pros

I like Buildr's clean, usable interface. I appreciate that it tracks my project budgets throughout a design life-cycle and makes it easy to draw upon those past and current budgets. The initial setup of an account and getting started as a new user is very easy and straightforward.

Cons

There isn't anything I dislike about using Buildr. There are a few small improvements that could be made to the estimating tool that would make a big impact on its usability and efficiencies, but overall the software's value far outweighs those items and continues to move in the right direction.

Pros

Ease of use for multi-user applications. Our company has many users and the ability for everyone to log-in and few status of pursuits and opportunities as well as adding notes to each opportunity is very convenient.

Cons

I do not like that you cannot change the status or stage of an opportunity from the quick review window of the pending projects list.

The ability to customize the software to include the information we find most helpful, the fact that there is an app, making logging calls and meetings simpler.

I appreciate the integration of other project manager functions on the bid side of things. It makes for a seamless transition between preconstruction deliverables

Cons

Hard to say, but probably not enough alerts/reminders on upcoming tasks. Although this may not apply as I may not be using the settings correctly.

Love Buildr software, keeping all clients and potential clients on one platform, helps the team to be more productive. Overall, I am thrilled to continue with Buildr.

The team at Buildr has been great to work with. Customer Service is extremely responsive and they are on the cutting edge of construction CRM

Pros

The easy of use. I can track different opportunities through different divisions at my company. The way possible projects can be broken out and provided a percentage of getting to award phase.

Cons

Wish the mobile app was better. It would help with inputting data immediately post events. Otherwise I forget to follow up.

Pros

Centralizes customer data and tracks hit rates to improve visibility, decisions, and performance for big picture construction decision making

Cons

It can take some trial and error to dial in the right data, but once configured correctly, the software becomes very useful and effective.

I like being able to sort our contacts by profession. Set tasks for our team members to touch base with the appropriate people for better visibility.

Pros

Buildr is very easy to set up and use for our entire team. It is a good value because we can keep all of our contacts in one program.

Cons

I do not have any dislikes at this time. The program does what we wanted, keeping track of contacts, leads, and opportunities

Buildr is generally easy to use and rather useful once you get used to it. It does have room for improvement, but the usefulness of the current iteration is undeniable

Pros

Its convenient to have one location for business development and project tracking. It makes it easier to track trends and see what is and isnt working for growth

Cons

There is some gray area when it comes to differentiating between a task and a lead. Especially when just trying to stay in touch with contacts

Pros

We’ve had a great experience using BUILDR on our projects. The contacts feature makes it easy to keep our subcontractors, vendors, and team organized in one place, and the commitments tool has been especially helpful for tracking scopes and staying on top of who is responsible for what. It’s a straightforward platform that keeps our jobs organized and our team aligned from start to finish. Overall, BUILDR has been a solid tool for managing our projects.

Cons

While BUILDR has been helpful overall, there are a few areas that could improve. Some workflows take a few extra clicks compared to other platforms, and certain fields aren’t as customizable as we’d like for unique project setups. The mobile experience can feel limited when trying to review or update detailed information in the field. We’ve also noticed that reporting and exports sometimes require manual adjustments after pulling data. Integrations with other software could be more robust to reduce double entry. None of these are deal breakers, but refining usability, customization, and reporting would make the platform even more efficient for day-to-day project management.

BuildR helps us move faster, stay organized, and make better decisions. The platform is clean, easy to use, and genuinely improves our workflow. Their customer support is also extremely attentive and helpful. Highly recommend for any team that wants to modernize preconstruction.

Pros

BuildR gives our team one connected workspace for estimating, bidding, CRM, bid‑leveling, and forecasting, which dramatically reduces the back‑and‑forth we used to deal with across multiple tools. The platform feels genuinely built for general contractors, not retrofitted from a generic CRM.

Cons

While powerful, the system is best suited for teams ready to fully adopt its connected workflow. Light users my not get the same value.
