### "Started with RepairShopr and upgraded to Syncro"

Before we started with Syncro/Repairshopr we had paper only records of our work and used our invoicing system for tracking customer work/purcharses. About 7 years ago we trialed a few different systems and found that RepairShopr fit the way we work the best, had by far the best inventory system and made our workflow, job tracking and billing SOOO much easier. We trailled Syncr a few times as it came out and once we were happy it would replace the other systems we were using for backups RMM etc we made the switch... and we will never look back. It has streamlined our entire business. made everything soo much easier, quicker and simpler.

Pros

The ability to have all your clients details in a central location, see everything in their history, invoices, tickets for all types of jobs plus their assets and any notifications all in one place is absolutely brilliant. The Inventory management is brilliant with alerts sent to the ordering team when item stocks are low and you can trace the items through complete workflows. The Remote Access for Assets works brilliantly and seamlessly for our clients and has been a gamechanger!

Cons

The only con we really have is that at times the Integrations with other systems feels part-finished. Like the functions were added just so they could say they have them and never looked at to see how they could work better. Xero Integrations for example could have the payments functions built in better so that any overpayments can be shown in syncro as a credit. There a a few that we use that have to be checked on to ensure that they are working correctly and removed and reset up when they are not. NONE of the ones that aren't fully functioning are critical to us however so it isn't a huge deal breaker.

When we trialled the others back in 2016 we found RepairShopr (Syncro's previous iteration) to be the most robust, had ALL of the functions we really needed and the cleanest most modern interface.

Of the many CRM/RMM products I've used over the years, this one is actually one of the easiest to use and implement.

Pros

I'm able to get 90% of my work done from one single portal.

Cons

They have a few features that still need tweaking, but fortunately, they listen to the community and are constantly improving.

Syncro provides a lot of tools for a lower price than most others. We've never really had any serious issues with the software and it works great for our business. My biggest gripe however, is that we are unable to use our ticket metrics as one account is shared with reception who book the tickets. As reception also handle invoicing, they technically close all jobs. We suggested to Syncro an accounts type of account which would only allow invoicing, ticketing and CRM operations, removing all technician specific features and could be charged at a lower cost. If this was possible, Syncro would be one of the most competitive products on the market.

Pros

Syncro allows unlimited devices, but charges per technician. A hard to find pricing structure which significantly helps smaller MSP's get off the ground or operate more efficiently with larger customer bases.

Cons

The UI feels quite outdated, even with the recent revamp. Many tools are hidden away or very complicated to use. For example, changing an email template is found through various sub menus and not in the logical 'templates' section, which relates to other types of templates. The patch management definitely requires work as many devices simply do not update when they should be.

### "The best RMM you probably haven't heard of"

Pros

I realy enjoy the atmosphere that Syncro gives off. The connection it has with it's consumer base is top notch and the software works well. There have been a few bumps in the road with development hurdles but overall, a very good RMM and is fast and makes us more efficient.

Cons

I would not recommend to use the Integrated Remote connection tools yet. They have some training and adjusting before they are top teir.

It was way too expensive and slow for what you got. I've also been through the implementation and it's awful. It's like riding in a space ship you don't know how to fly and each button you press breaks another button you already pressed.

Syncro has saved me a ton of time. I manage just over 200 computers and servers by myself for 15+ clients, and Syncro helps me keep it all organized and maintained.

Pros

Setting up policies are easy to use and deploy. Patch management works well and provides an audit trail. Two remote connection methods make getting into computers reliable and easy. The layout is simple yet has all the information I need. For a one-man shop, Syncro is indispensable in its ability to save me time and effort.

Cons

My needs are relatively basic, and Syncro covers those basics well. I'm sure there are other options out there that are more robust offerings or have more complete feature sets. But for a small IT business like mine it is a good fit.

### "Syncro is great for a small MSP"

Overall, our business would not be where it is now without Syncro. The cost has allowed us to make a profit, even when we were shooting ourselves in the foot with our low client rates. The support team is pretty fast and very friendly which is very important to someone who is in support.

Pros

I like the ease of use. You can get in and have it setup in minutes. It allows me to automate so many functions, which is extremely helpful for a small team.

Cons

I kow they have to focus on what they do best, but it would be super awesome if they teamed up with other companies and offered the other few typical MSP offerings, but without having to integrate. Like for example, if they linked up with a white-labelled backup software company and then offered the ability to enable backups and also the alerts, by adding it to a policy. Or a SOC, or DNS or web filtering, etc.

Since making the move to Syncro, we've been able to streamline our workflow to monitor, manage, assist and bill our clients more effectively.

Pros

Syncro combines RMM, PSA, Ticketing, and Billing into a single interface that's easy to use and cost-effective. The tool was built from the ground up with components that work together. (Unlike their competitors, who have purchased other companies and rely upon loose integrations.) Also, Syncro product leads are listening to customer feedback and actively refining the product to improve productivity for MSPs. It is my hope that they never loose focus of this customer-centric approach!

Cons

While Syncro provides many amazing features, there is always room or improvement. One area that would benefit the most from some development love is patch management. Beyond that, I hope they'll continue refining an already amazing set of tools.

### "Syncro is everything you need, nothing you don't, and VERY cost effective."

Syncro was a game changer from us coming from GoldMine and Mas90 to move to QBO and Syncro. It does virtually everything we need, and does most of it really well. Splashtop is a really nice addition to the remote access suite (although the original Background Tools functions are even better for many things). Support is just an email away (yes, it's not the fastest - but it absolutely trumps supporting yourself with Goldmine), and the price is right.

Pros

Integration with Pax8, QBO, and (hopefully soon) more payment processors make this web-first system a real game changer. The cost per tech (instead of per endpoint) pricing makes it an order of magnitude less expensive than the "popular" choices for RMM and yet the feature set is at least just as good for most MSPs and ITS companies.

Cons

The calendaring function and interface is very rudimentary, the script troubleshooting can be a bit difficult, and the "flow" for things (how to find the 'recurring invoices' module, and other 'out-of-the-way' modules is not obvious even after years of use) are sometimes goofy for non "day to day" operations. There are some odd limitations on email notifications (why can't the customer's name be included on a "server down" email notification?) but these are few and far between, thankfully. Inventory and serials and PO functionality are very basic and some workarounds and adjustments are necessary to have a good workflow. Lack of "sales order" functionality as a module means we used 'Tickets' for this and excluded it from others' screens, but it's a bit unintuitive, much like the 'Approve' or 'Decline' estimate function.

### "Syncro works very well for this small company"

Before Syncro, I had a best-of-breed approach, with a whole toolbox of separate apps. They all did their job wonderfully well, but didn't talk to each other. I wasted time finding the data I wanted and maintaining all the docker containers, servers, web subscriptions, etc. As a one-man shop, I need to maximize my time and automate everything possible. I tested and trialed a dozen RMMs, and at least a few long-term. Syncro had the combination of features I needed: monitoring, alerting, scripting, remote access, time tracking, invoicing, and Xero integration. I still use a couple of those other tools but in a much more limited and non-critical capacity.

Pros

The automated scripting is fantastic for data collection and maintenance tasks. Having customers, tickets, time tracking and invoicing all in one package saves me a lot of time. An API to connect other scripts running on servers into Syncro saves more time and keeps all customer info in one place. Xero integration was a must for me, and Syncro's works well. Products and services, tax rates, customers and contacts all stay in sync. Invoices sync from Syncro to Xero only; payments sync both ways. This is nice because I already had my customers paying me through Xero. The pricing per technician means I don't have to worry about where I install the agent. I have needed support several times. A couple where I didn't understand the app, and a couple where I was able to help them fix a bug. It usually takes a day to turn around a request, and each succeeding reply, but they stuck with me until it was resolved.

Cons

The web interface is not easy on the eyes. I actually took the time to re-do the CSS in a few places to make it work for me. I'd like to be able to use Splashtop from a Linux-based management computer. At present, you can only launch a Splashtop remote session from a Windows PC. The recently revamped policy module is still less than ideal. You can't create a default policy of any complexity and apply it to all your endpoints—only per-customer. Reports are just OK. There's nothing there I would show a customer in a meeting.

I can't say enough how amazing the team is there. From \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and everyone in between has allowed our MSP to grow from a 1 man shop to having 5 employees. Not only has their help allowed us to shift our initial system to scale but allowed us to better understand how to utilize the tools and features of the system.

Pros

The best feature of the system is the complete integration of both the RMM and PSA. Having the ability to customize the system to your needs for information to store or manage your client's assets makes our day to day easier. The constant new feature releases let us know the system is constantly being improved.

Cons

Not much to dislike. As you use the system there are plenty of training resources to get around any dislikes or issues you may run into. The great thing about Syncro is depending on your used case there is probably more than one way to achieve this goal.

As a one-man shop, Syncro's automations save me a lot of time.

Pros

This PSA/RMM scales with your business. I am a one-man shop currently and I can have unlimited assets and customers in Syncro. You are licensed per user, not per device. The invoicing module is powerful.

Cons

I feel like the UI could be improved. There are some things you can't do in the mobile app. You can only have two sales tax lines.

Internal IT support department, getting support requests through email or SMS, monitoring all network devices including SNMP devices and setup scripts to auto fix computer problems, running updates, and if needed I can remote login to each machine with the built-in Remote Desktop.

It is great to help our customers, as easy to connect and watch live what they are doing. Also, helping them, without affecting their job, working in the background. Keeping the PCs up to date and also monitored is a great value for us.

Pros

Our company, provides Help Desk Support to several countries, and finding a tool, that can help us to remote, and also to apply scripts, get information and keep PCs secure, was very important. We got in Syncro, a great partner, and now, we can trust that, the big majority of our support can be done with this tool.

Cons

Maybe, the biggest concern was the price, however, at the end we got a good deal.

Syncro does what I want and it works well however their are some issues that if addressed could make it better and support is the biggest factor.

Pros

The remote management of computers and servers is easy in Syncro. Creating Powershell scripts for repeatable tasks is a breeze in Syncro.

Cons

Patch management errors but still works. Scripts don't always work. Some devices show offline even though they are online. Support is lacking.

Pros

The fact that they have a flat feet for unlimited agent management helps with our break/fix and BYO-AV clients, no need to pay for each agent deployed.

Cons

The mobile app could use work, however for what it’s worth I like what they have so far. I wish SyncroLive is available on mobile.

Overall we are pleased with Syncro, we only use it for Remote control and Patch management currently. Which was super simple to implement. We are in the process of implementing asset management, which has caused some issues that were easily resolved by customer support.

Pros

Syncro is simple to deploy. Works great out the box. Would be nice if assigning policies was simpler. We are an Inhouse IT department so don't use any of the Invoicing or billing functions.

Cons

Would prefer multiple monitors in remote control. It is not difficult to switch between monitors so it is fine. Just would be nice to be able to see all of the monitors at once. All of our Clients have at least 2 monitors.WE don't use billing at all so I can't comment on that at all.

We have been pleased with the performance of Syncro and overjoyed with the savings of nearly 65% over our previous software. As more APIs have become available, we are almost integrated with all other products we use such as QuickBooks, etc.

Pros

The products within Syncro are continually being updated, enhanced and added to the PSA and RMM. Although there are a few features that are missing that are found in other platforms, the cost can be a whopping 65% or more less for nearly the same features. Many new integrations have been added recently to make Syncro more like the heavy hitters, such as adding Splashtop to the RMM. You'll find their monthly webinars that cover enhancements, current processes, and questions that you might have, very informative. The migration was easy when moving from our old platform to Syncro.

Cons

The absence of a built-in timer and a technician timesheet are missing features that would greatly enhance the software.

### "Great TIcket Management/RMM/Integrated Remote Access"

Syncro allows me to manage most of my business processes as a MSP. Wouldn't know what to do without it!

Pros

The ticket management is great. Tickets can be assigned internally, or by customers through email or via desktop app. Mobile alerts allow me to respond to new issues quickly. RMM automatically alerts you to issues that the customer doesn't even know exist, and has some customization options for specific monitoring needs.

Cons

Integrated remote access is great from Splashtop, but I would like to allow customers to initiate a one-time session with Splashtop that could be integrated as well. For now, I will continue to need another remote access system that allows me to do this.

Being able to start a quick remote session from the end-user agent is a nice feature request.
