The software initially helped me to clean up my root files that were infected from backdoor entry malware. Now all I have to do is view my daily or regular scans to make sure that my files are clean. I used to waste so much time trying to fix my sites when I have more than one. Pros Since I began using Wordfence, I haven't had my website hacked! I lost two websites to hacking until I discovered Wordfence. It's a must have security software when using Wordpress which gets hacked easily. Cons It's expensive, even for use with one website. It's worth using. Pros Not having an anti-data phishing tool like WordFence today means you're vulnerable to making huge losses. This software is by far the best WordPress website security plugin that I've ever come across. I like it because it provides a lot of robust security options to fully enhance websites. From data beaching, website hacking, data phishing, and virus attacks, WordFence assures security. It's easy to use and provides various ways to completely prohibit website attacks like filtering IPs, brute-forcing, and Filtering by countries, and offers additional security grids for website administrators (2FA and backup codes). I also prefer it because it doesn't need a lot of time or data to do its job, once installed and set - it gets to work and trust me, it does its job perfectly. Cons I would have loved to have CDN features released in the next versions of WordFence because although it works well for filtering malicious plugins, however, there could be instances where some latencies are introduced into the website during the filtering process or any other issues that could potentially affect the site's performance speeds - so if there is a CDN it can help to eliminate these. And secondly, I would love to use it in French language as It's my primary language and I'm most comfortable with it. It's our number one recommendation. Pros Wordfence is a must-have plugin if you really care about your Wp website security. It's ideal for small and mid-size businesses with a fairly large amount of data. This plugin helps to combat hackers and website hijackers from invading and compromising websites' login credentials.The brute-force option is the most effective one among all the rest that I've tested out so far and it's worth it. With this plugin, I can exclude undesired IP addresses from my traffic list and do even more. The plugin also comes at extremely low fees which is advantageous for even individual businesses.While there are many site security out there that claim to do the work, however, they are just trying- while Wordfence performs. Cons Like any other plugin, Wordfence is not perfect- meaning that, It has its drawbacks. For organisations that hold higher risk, you may want to ensure someone is fully trained on all the features, but for small organisations with limited capacity, its a great solution that makes your life much easier. Pros Once installed, the software is very easy to use and monitor. It gives you peace of mind that your website is protected from external attacks and the alerts will always notify you if something unusual is taking place. If you need to interrogate traffic further it is simple to do so and it is possible to add rules to create an extra security level which has helped us prevent bot attacks through our donation/payment system. Cons Sometimes I struggle to locate the pages I am looking for when interrogating IP addresses and monitoring traffic to the site. It was very easy to install and set up, which is a huge plus. The program also automatically sends emails to notify me of any log ins or log in attempts. This helps with my sense of security. I have been using it for several years with great success. Pros What I like most about Wordfence is the ability to easily install it and even at the default settings it is ready to protect your wordpress website. There are many options that can be set to suit your own needs. The best part, for me, is the ability to block an IP permanently. With the paid version you can block a country. Cons I do wish the plug in offered a permanent block on an IP automatically, or even a year, but to do that you must log into your website and do it manually. 2 months is the longest they offer.
