The software makes it incredibly easy to set up one-off newsletters, automated workflows, and forms. Their ecommerce option is also the most intuitive I've encountered online and makes setting up landing pages and checkouts a breeze. And whenever I get stuck on how to achieve something I have in mind, all I need to do is peruse their incredibly robust help center to find a detailed explanation. In the rare event that I can't find what I'm looking for in their help articles, their support team is so quick to reply and incredibly patient in answering every question I've ever asked. Pros After working in SaaS for more than 7 years, I've seen a lot of software. And when it came time to choose what I would use for my own tech stack when starting my business, I did extensive research on email marketing platforms to see what was out there. I was instantly drawn to Flodesk for how intuitive their UI was and how design-forward their email builder was. I didn't need highly complex automations in the beginning but still needed something robust enough that could grow with me as my needs expanded, and Flodesk checked all of those boxes. Cons Two years ago, I felt that the functionality of Flodesk was a bit limited compared to competitors. But what I quickly realized was that this company builds out their product with their users at the center of the entire development process. I was so impressed by their public roadmap and the ability for users to add feature requests and vote for others' requests. And the product team actually selects most of their projects from those user requests! As a result, the features of Flodesk have grown considerably over a short period of time, and the product just continues to improve. Pros The minimalist design is spot on - it really is unique. The fact that they charge a flat fee regardless of # of subscribers is also rare for the USPs. Overall I like their simple approach to the software and email sending and that it's easy to figure out how it works. Cons It's very much still a tool in development. A lot of technical functionalities are not yet in place or are not fully developed, such as AB testing, dynamic content, advanced and custom segmentation, and overall ability to make it more your own. They have a big community and lots of requests for new features that they are actively working on (which is great to see) but sometimes, as an email marketer, I find the functionalities lacking and wouldn't recommend the tool for someone with complex needs and audiences. February 15, 2026 5.0 I use it in my own personal business and loved it so much that I suggested it to some of my contracts, and now we have started using it there too. Everyone's first response is "these emails look SO good!" Pros Flodesk is intuitive to use, and almost impossible to make unattractive. It does the heavy lifting for you in terms of making it pretty, no matter what. Importing contacts is easy, duplicates are dealt with and we don't end up with duplicate contact records, and best of all, I don't dread the process of laying out, assembling and sending out our emails. Cons I wish you could list labels on the csv import files instead of having to import each label's list separately. And I wish that when it was choosing between differing sets of contact info for the same person (brought in with multiple imports due to multiple labels or sources), Flodesk would ask which you wanted to keep, or keep both, instead of automatically choosing the most recent imported data. I also wish that sending the same email again to unopened recipients or a second list, etc. did not involve duplicating the email and starting over like it was brand new. But those are literally the only 3 things that I come up against that aren't ideal. Even when my websotr platform or payment processor or course platform has come with email servoces included it hasn't even crossed my mine to cancel and switch because it's served me so well and even grown with my business in ways it can function and help me. Pros I love the combination of functionality and beauty that Flodesk combines! As an entrepreneur I want simple systems that support my business growth and connect me with my audience and potential clients but form and flexibility in design are key to me enjoying and actually using them. With Flodesk I get the business system functionality that serves my need for masculine structure while being very easy to use, and customer support has also always been incredible if I get stuck, and serve my creative desire to make things still beautiful and pleasing to consume beyond just what I write. But email is for sure one of my favorite things to do, and I honestly believe that Flodesk is one of the biggest reasons why. It is actually enjoyable and fun writing and customizing my emails. Having all the integrations and so on... I love the designs, the integrations, the forms, the way it is organized, and the options of the blocks (love, love, love them). Is just easy and fun. You have everything you really need in there, and the pricing is perfection. Pros The flodesk platform is so simple, easy to use, and intuitive. I can have all the information I want in two clicks or less. Additionally, it boasts numerous features! It's not a simple email that comes and goes. It is an experience for you and for your users. I like the ability to segment my audience into many different groups so I can target my emails to them specifically. The few times I needed support I received it in a timely manner which is very important for me. Pros I love the interface of Flodesk. Not only is it easy to use, and personalize, but it looks so nice. I also love how I pay one price for as many emails and audience members that I have. No more worrying about going over my limit or being charged more for having more emails. Cons Flodesk hasn't updated their own templates in a while. However, they have made it easier to format and design your own, share with a friend, or even sell and make money on the side. But still, sometimes you need some inspiration and new templates from Flodesk, would be helpful. Also, to resend your email to those unopened, you have to wait a few days (at least at the time of this writting) but sometimes time is of essence and it would be great to resend to unopened sooner. It's super easy to get up and running quickly and I'm finding the ability to track customer click behaviour and segments very useful. Pros Easy to make beautiful emails. Segmentation tools are veryw powerful - it's easy to create segments, add to them based on behaviour and keep things up to date. Cons Some limitations in font choice and size consistency across different elements of templates. Not a huge deal but it takes a bit of practice to get things looking perfect. Test emails are an essential check. Cons I can't think of anything. Flodesk has great forms that I use for my waiting lists and emails lists and everything flows nicely. Cons I would like more templates; I feel there are fewer options to choose from. Having more retail-oriented options would be great! I love how we can use the templates and plan to use them all as a test to see which works best. Pros I am not the marketing person on our team however this is one software I believe I can get into and self learn and easily make it work. Cons I wish I could see WHY emails may not be delivered. And, when you don't know how to do something, it's easy to figure out from their help area! Cons I wish that the shop feature were included in the $19.00 option I am signed up for. I don't have many sales, so I wouldn't be able to cover that extra cost while building my brand. This week marks Vol.10 of my weekly newsletter! 🎉 I really appreciate the unlimited subscribers feature — even though my list is still small, I don’t have to worry about scaling later. Sure, there are free platforms I could use for a small list, but I see Flodesk as my creative assistant — an investment that keeps me inspired and consistent. I’m truly happy that Flodesk exists. Pros Flodesk has an incredibly easy-to-navigate interface. I’ve used other platforms like Kit and MailerLite, but Flodesk feels so much simpler and more intuitive. After trying tools packed with complex features, I realized I don’t need that much — and that’s exactly why I love Flodesk’s simplicity. Being able to upload my own fonts is one of my favorite features because it helps me keep my brand consistent and unique. The overall design possibilities are so artistic — something I haven’t seen in other email platforms. Honestly, I get excited every time I open the site. There’s an invisible motivation that keeps me inspired to send my weekly emails regularly. Cons I can’t use the Checkout feature because of where I live, and I really wish this function were available anywhere Stripe works. The support team is friendly and kind, but I had one case where the person didn’t go deep enough to solve my issue, so it took several rounds of emails. In the end, it was resolved — so it’s okay! I also recommend it to all of my clients because it is so user friendly , specially if you are not tecky. Pros I have been Using Flodesk for years, it is so simple, and the emails are beautiful. ALSO, in the last few months they have been adding amazing tools and features, like checkout cart! so easy to use. Cons I would say the only thing is some connections with ADS /META but I was able to just download the PDF's and do it that way so not a big deal. I love the ability to make everything match my branding and just really customize it to how I want it. Pros The design is so customizable, looks clean, and is fairly easy to navigate. The emails are sooo pretty, and I like the variety of available forms. Cons I would love to personalize the image placeholders a bit more. I don’t love all the template options available and sometimes want to do more than simply adding the image as is.
