It was like it had been designed for our program. It allows for teachers to schedule their own classes, track attendance for both their advisory students and their core content class students, and have the flexibility necessary to meet widely varied needs. There are also helpful reports to allow for accountability and tracking. Cons At first, not every flow is intuitive. I get more knowledgeable every day with the system, however. October 31, 2025 5.0 Switching to MyFlex Learning this year has been a total gamechanger. Admin, staff, and students have all had positive experiences. \[sensitive content hidden\] went above and beyond last spring to allow us to do a pilot and made customized videos for our staff training. Pros User-friendly, versatile, customizable, and amazing customer service. It has made scheduling our flex time (Nauset Time) a breeze and we have now expanded to also using it to schedule before and after school activities such as extra help, sports and clubs. Cons We can't print a report or see a screen that shows where our homeroom students are scheduled for the week. This is our 5th year working together and we look forward to many more. Pros MyFlexLearning is one of the best platforms I've used as an administrator. The ease of use and school management are key strengths. Above all, the customer support is top-notch, with questions or needs almost always resolved in under 24 hours. The team at MFL will Zoom with you to understand the problem they are supporting you with and work to develop the right solution for the context. Cons I have no concerns with MyFlexLearning-- this is not me being nice; it is that they resolve any challenge I have almost always within the same school day. I hope they expand their product to contain more features so that we can rely more on MFL stead of our SIS/other platforms. What sets MyFlex apart from the WIN scheduling software we used in the past is there customer support and willingness to implement new features based on our needs. Cons We're having a little trouble dealing w/ situations where we offer classes that encompass our full-block of WIN time (ours is split in half). Right now, kids can only schedule for Block A or Block B of our period- we need a way for them to schedule to a class that encompasses both blocks. We find MyFlex's customer service to be the absolute best we have worked with in education. They are responsive and helpful and solve issue in a timely manner. Pros It allows our students and staff to have flexibility in scheduling not only during our flex block but during our study halls too. Students and staff can do what they need to do and we, as administration, feel that MyFlex has really increased student accountability and safety by providing a platform where we can allow for flexibility while still tracking whereabouts. Cons As an administrator, it can be tedious to toggle between my administrative role to my teacher role to manage events and opportunities. Once you wrap your head around how your school's flex time model, they will go out of their way to ensure it can adapt to your needs. Cons My only frustration is that we cannot utilize the "apply course grade priority" feature when determining where students should go for support because of gradebook choice we made as a district. Student Information Systems Administrator Education Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "MyFlexLearning Implementation Process" March 1, 2023 5.0 Our high school students and staff can now see real-time attendance for students during our Flex period. Teachers can assign varied flex learning sections based on the individual student's needs. Students can sign up for varied enrichment sections based on their interests. It is a win-win program! Pros Working with the implementation team at MFL was very easy. They provided all of the templates needed in order to set up daily SIS (student information system) exports. The team was very responsive and made sure our data was coming in correctly. The team also allowed me to work with their engineer in order to find a solution for our drop-two student schedule. I found MFL to be one of the most flexible SIS vendors I have worked with. I appreciated their willingness to find solutions that work for us! Cons I am not the end user of the product so I cannot speak to the day to day school use. I will say that developing a plug-in for PowerSchool districts would be a big benefit. I'll also add that MFL was very open to this suggestion and even met with me to see how a plug-in would be of benefit. I cannot say enough about my experience with MFL. The team is always excited to hear ideas on how to enhance the product based on customer needs, and very quickly responds to help requests. We have had several requests become enhancements in record time. The collaborative nature of MFL and their willingness to help districts grow using their product is invaluable. Pros MyFlexLearning is extremely easy to implement, navigate, and integrate with SIS. The user-friendly interface, coupled with intuitive navigation, make this software a breeze to work with. The product rolls itself out with very little training necessary. The short, clear, “how to” videos and on-the-ready support team help bolster a smooth implementation. Cons It's not often I can draw a blank, but truly, there are no pitfalls. I guess what I like the least is that the developers of this software haven't created more wonderful software like MFL. Is there a SIS in the future? Honestly, the easiest software I have used in my 18 years working in education. Pros MyFlexLearning has been a great add to our High School. It is used daily for signups and scheduling. It has simplified the scheduling for our flex time classes. Cons Once the system was setup there were not any issues. We accidently changed some of our data on our staff table causing the update to remove admin users. They helped us to find solutions and even customized a few for us. Cons To get the full integration with the SIS you need to give them access to your SIS. Their support team is amazing and dedicated to helping you get set up and troubleshoot whenever you need. Pros The customer support is wonderful. Everyone I've worked with has been extremely responsive to our needs, to the point of including taking requests for software upgrades. Cons There are some features that seem basic, but that aren't there yet. I can't send a message to all of my students in a flex period, for example. And there is no way to upload a list of students to update "tags." I'd also like to be able to edit teacher permissions for specific actions, as opposed to an all or none approach.
