November 27, 2023 5.0 Pros It is so much easier to take a picture of receipts on-the-spot, rather than collecting them and submitting them via a traditional expense report. Cons I wish there were a way to record mileage. I also don't like the system's feature of "deleting" receipts that are photographed and submitted right after a restaurant makes the initial authorization. Even though my receipt has included the tip, as submitted, after the restaurant resubmits the charge with the tip included, Ramp then deletes my original receipt and asks me to submit it again--which is a problem because I threw away the paper receipt at times, until I figured out this quirk of fate system. Ramp needs to fix this. If it does, I will give it FIVE STARS in EVERY category! Review Source PH Penny H. If we have any issues, the customer service has been quick to handle them. Pros Ramp is easy to use and has great features that will be helpful to most companies. They are constantly upgrading to add value to their product and customer service, when needed has been great. Cons The statement would be better for us if it was broken down by card. Instead all transactions are in one group by transaction date. Reason for choosing Ramp I liked that each user would have access to their own account and the accountability reminders of the text messages and emails. Any time I have an issue, Customer Service works hard to resolve it right away! and does so 99.99% of the time. Pros Saves time, and time IS money! It also saves a lot of effort on my part. CEO Business Supplies and Equipment Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Deceptive product representation" May 5, 2023 1.0 Our company was looking to replace our corporate credit card program with a platform that would also offer expense management tracking, and the Ramp sales team presented their product as the prefect solution for that. Nevertheless, what they didn't disclose during the process is that they do not offer credit and you are required to maintain a bank account with 2x cash or else their card will be declines. So if they give you a limit of $500k because your initial bank statement shows a million dollars in cash, they will suddenly slash your limit to $300k if your next bank statement shows only $600 in cash. So the card may stop working at any given time according to the fluctuations of cash flow in your bank account. They have a very good expense management system but it's deceptive for them to represent it as a replacement for a corporate credit card program. Pros Ramp offers a very good expense management software. Cons Ramp does not offer credit, and should not be used to replace your corporate credit cards. Review Source JC Jake C. This week, we began migrating all of our users over to Ramp. So far, my experience has been great, minus the couple things I mentioned above. Ramp is definitely a great platform and I continue using/growing with Ramp in the future. Pros I think the overall platform is great. So many of the features are excellent and I'm not sure they could be improved. Examples of those features are the accounting section, the insight into users spending/card info, and searching for transactions. Cons There are two features that Ramp doesn't have/offer and is frustrating at times. I would love for there to be a Ramp app. We previously used Brex, and the ease of access with an app is great. Many (likely all) of our team would prefer to have an app, rather than going to Ramp's website. The other feature is offering a live chat option. Brex also had that feature, and issues could be addressed and resolved within minutes. When I've had to email Ramp support, the response is typically very fast. But once again, I think many users/admins that use Ramp would prefer a live chat option. Review Source SK Shanice K. I used to have to beg and plead to get receipts and that has been tremendously reduced and the ease of the app is amazing. The integration with our accounting software is also amazing. I never have to worry about making a JE or trying to track amounts down. Pros The best thing about this software is the receipt capture! The reminder text that is sent to snap a picture at the time of purchase is so wonderful. No more chasing down receipts!! Cons My least favorite thing is not really being able to talk to someone if there is an issue. Most of the issues are user error but if our locations could call and speak to a tech or representative to walk them through how to get set up or fix their error it would be so much easier. Office Administrator Religious Institutions Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Seamless Receipt Management " November 27, 2023 5.0 Pros I love the ease of forwarding email receipts (except for Amazon - see below), snapping a pic of a physical receipt and texting it, etc. And the reminders by text and email mean that I keep up with receipts/expense reports without having to think about it as much as before. No losing physical receipts before I get around to submitting them, no forgetting, etc. Cons The only real negative I've found is the lack of seamless integration with Amazon. With pretty much any other vendor, I can just forward an email receipt to ramp. But for Amazon, you have to log in, download the invoice, and then send as a screenshot or attachment. I think this may be better if you have an Amazon business account, but we do not. I order from my personal Amazon account. Easy to Reconcile" November 10, 2023 5.0 Pros Ramp allows for you to create digital cards to put on file for the various subscriptions team uses. This is super handy to ensure you don't have crazy spending on systems no longer in use. Another awesome feature is their texting of receipts. Rather than loading it into an app, Ramp will text you for the receipt and you can take pic and text it back. No uploading needed. Now we are giving up due to all the fraud. Pros The employees liked how easy it is to submit receipts for credit charges and for reimbursements Cons The onboarding was weak to non-existent. There were webinars to watch. The Support is mostly done by communicating with bots and is very frustrating. We were putting up with the above until we were swamped with dozens of fraudulent charges. We has no assurance that Ramp would protect us and we still don't know how many of these fraudulent charges will be properly dealt with Reason for choosing Ramp It looked liked a good fit for us and the price was the best. Being able to submit a receipt at the time of the expense has been life changing in my professional life. I previously worked for a big bank and had to jump through hoops to submit ANY expense.
