### "I'm glad I discovered Gumlet"

January 29, 2026

5.0

I really enjoy Gumlet. It's a way better alternative to Vimeo or the like! We tried many video platforms before and now plan to stick with it, because the team also keeps shipping updates and improvements each month.

Pros

The video player comes with a React Native embed out of the box: this is great for developers! Also the design of the player is great and both loading time and video quality are amazing.

Cons

There are minor UI weaknesses, e.g. navigation logic and orientation. But one gets used to it quickly. In playlists there is a weird behavior that mutes the next video. And the subtitles should have a bit more padding to the left and right — typography lover speaking here. That are the only things that I have noticed so far.

### "Great product with exeptional support"

December 2, 2025

5.0

I'm very satisfied with the service. The upload process is fast and simple, and my videos play smoothly without buffering. Highly recommended if you’re a coach or provide elearning services like me

Pros

It’s also easy to use, lets me upload videos quickly, and playback is smooth without worrying about bandwidth limits. This makes it a great choice for creators who need reliable video hosting for their websites and online courses.

Cons

Gumlet team should invest more in marketing because I discovered this platform a bit late. With better promotion, more creators could benefit from its fast streaming, generous bandwidth, and polished interface

### "Gumlet Review after 1 month"

January 8, 2025

Overall experience was good, because the main purpose of Gumlet was used to host videos on our website.

Pros

I like the video cdn bandwidth and DRM protection feature where we can secure our video content and speed up our video bandwidth on our website

Cons

Some of the documentations are not explained thoroughly, sometimes some of the function may face minor bugs, one of the case happened to me was unable to verify custom domain CNAME, although the cname has already set on my DNS zone editor

### "High-Quality and Robust Security Video Hosting Made Easy"

January 8, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Gumlet has been very robust. The platform is simple to understand and manage, which is crucial for anyone looking to streamline their content hosting needs. The combination of a clean UI, flexible usage policy, and high-quality storage options makes it a strong contender in the video hosting market. I find it to be a highly effective solution that meets my needs without breaking the bank, especially given the unlimited streaming feature. I would definitely recommend Gumlet to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly video hosting service.

Pros

One of the standout features of Gumlet is its user interface. It’s incredibly clean and perfectly navigable, making it easy to find what you need without any hassle. I also appreciate their straightforward usage policy, which allows for hosting in minute increments. This feature simplifies the process of managing video content and makes it easy to calculate costs. Additionally, the platform supports storage of videos at up to 4K resolution, which is fantastic for maintaining high-quality content. The plan I’m on also offers unlimited streaming of videos, making it an extremely cost-effective solution compared to other major video platforms. Also I have member videos that I am hosting with Gumlet which need to be secured. In my experience Gumlet offers probably the most robust security of all the hosting platforms.

Cons

This is maybe not fair to call a con because I bought knowing it wasn't a feature and not offered as one. However, while Gumlet excels in many areas, I would like to see an expansion in their storage capabilities. Currently, they offer facilities for video and image storage, but I believe adding PDF storage would enhance the platform's versatility and usability. This addition would be particularly beneficial for users who need to manage a variety of content types in one place.

### "Perfect for secure long-term course hosting"

December 1, 2025

5.0

I moved to Gumlet because I needed better security than what YouTube or Google Drive could offer. The support team has been incredible -they actually took the time to explain the tech side of things to me (like how to set-up channels, how DRM works, various plan features and customisable options). Once I got everything set up, the streaming has been flawless and fast. It feels like a premium "Netflix-style" experience for my students with security right in place.

Pros

Being able to watermark videos with the custom options and use DRM protection gives me peace of mind for my paid courses, the security features are exactly what I needed I also really appreciate that storage is charged by "video minutes" rather than file size which is a huge cost-saving.

Cons

The learning curve for setting up channels and playlist was a bit steep at first; I had to contact support to understand the difference between the tiers and features. Also, while they include Google DRM for free, you have to pay extra if you want that same protection, to work on Safari devices which is a bit of a hidden cost. But trust me by far the most easiest and the straight forward one from any provider. Need for a custom domain to mainstream other features like community management, Tracking, Signing in to get the access and other general features.

### "Must have for any serious company. Better than VIMEO!"

December 1, 2025

Very good! If I would be an investor, I would definitly go with it. It's ui is very solid and it has everything you need. Even image

Pros

Gumlet being an all-in-one tool for everything about video. Like VIMEO but better. Custom domain, manage response headers and origin reuest headers for images. Man, it's great!!

Cons

I don't think I've found a single thing in Gumlet to not like. But if I have to name 1 thing, it might be missing integration with Pabbly. But it has API and webhook so not really a problem :)

### "An excellent tool for protecting your videos from piracy with DRM technology."

November 27, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been very positive. It's a fast platform and doesn't show any errors. The main features, such as uploading and sharing videos, are quite simple, even for people who have never used the platform before. The main reason I purchased this platform was for the DRM protection and all the security features. While some more advanced settings, such as DRM protection, require a little more technical knowledge, the interface is intuitive and the basic workflow is easy to manage. The speed at which videos load and the ability to customize the player make for a pleasant experience.

Pros

I really like how quickly the videos load and the wide range of configurations it allows us to make. When I decided to switch, it was mainly because of the DRM protection it offers and how affordable it is. Few platforms provide all these protection features at such a price. In terms of usability, the main features such as uploading a video, configuring it, and sharing it are quite easy.

Cons

I would have liked the control panel to be available in multiple languages, but it is only in English. Also, although the main functions such as uploading and sharing videos are quite easy, the more complicated functions such as configuring DRM protection are a little more technical. I would also have liked more documentation and for it to be up to date. I watched a video on your channel on how to configure DRM, and the options are not exactly as shown in the video.

### "Solid video hosting with fair pricing for small agencies"

November 30, 2025

4.0

I run a small insights agency and we use Gumlet to host training videos, client walk throughs and webinar replays. We used Wistia before and liked it, but the costs added up compared with our actual usage. Gumlet has been a better balance between quality and price. Once I got past the first setup, it has been very low stress. I upload, embed and do not need to think about it. Videos load quickly for our clients in different regions and the player looks clean on our site. Overall, it does what we need without feeling overpriced or overbuilt for a small team.

Pros

The video playback is fast and reliable and good value for money. We have clients in the US, Europe and Asia and no one complains about buffering. The CDN setup was a big factor for me and Gumlet has handled that well. I also like that I can brand the player, control which sites can embed our videos and use simple security options for client-only content. The pricing feels fair for how often our videos are actually watched, especially compared with what we paid for other tools over time (for example Wistia, which was great product too, but Gumlet is better for our needs).

Cons

The dashboard took a bit of time to learn. Some settings are not in the places I expected and I still sometimes click around to find what I need. It is not hard, just not obvious at first. The layout could be a bit more friendly for non-technical users.

### "My new solution for hosting and sharing videos"

December 2, 2025

5.0

After trying out other tools, Gumlet has become my new go-to solution for hosting and managing videos. In short, it's a very complete tool and an excellent addition to my workflow.

Pros

File uploads are incredibly fast, and playback is always smooth, without any stuttering or annoying loading times. Another feature I really appreciate is the player's customization: I can hide the progress bar, place the logo wherever I want, disable all controls, or even enable a download button when needed. It also offers powerful extra features like adding CTAs, creating playlists, and tailoring the experience to each project. In short, it's a very complete tool and an excellent addition to my workflow.

Cons

Perhaps a little more customization of the Call To Action in terms of shape and size (padding, ...).

### "Strong DRM protection with a simple and professional setup"

March 23, 2026

4.0

Gumlet has become an essential part of my workflow for delivering video content to clients. It handles the technical complexity of secure video hosting so I don't have to. The combination of strong DRM, a professional-looking player, and reliable streaming quality makes it easy to recommend. There's room for improvement in content management at scale, but for the price and what it delivers, it's hard to beat.

Pros

The DRM protection is the standout feature for me. With both Widevine and Fairplay support, I can confidently deliver my clients' content knowing it's fully protected across all devices and browsers. The setup process is incredibly simple — no need to deal with complex configurations or hire a developer. Just enable DRM and it works. The video player itself is sleek and customizable, which my clients appreciate because it matches their branding. Adaptive bitrate streaming ensures smooth playback even for viewers with slower internet connections.

Cons

The video CMS could use better bulk management tools. When working with a large library of videos, organizing and tagging them individually can be time-consuming. A batch editing feature for metadata, tags, and folder assignments would save a lot of time. Also, more detailed export options for analytics reports would be a nice addition for client reporting.

### "Awesome video security! It keeps your stuff safe from downloads and screenshots."

March 7, 2025

5.0

Pros

I recently started using Gumlet, and I gotta say, I'm really impressed! One feature that stands out for me is their video hosting. It's super secure—like, you can't download the videos or even take screenshots of them! That gives me a lot of peace of mind, especially when I'm sharing content that I want to keep protected. The overall interface is pretty user-friendly, making it easy to upload and manage my videos. Plus, the streaming quality is excellent, which is a huge bonus. If you're into video content and need something that keeps your work safe while still looking great, I highly recommend checking out Gumlet. It's definitely been a game-changer for me!

Cons

One thing I wasn’t a big fan of with Gumlet is the CNAME feature being a paid add-on. It would be nice if it came included, especially since having a custom domain for your video hosting makes everything look more professional. But now I have to consider an extra cost just to set that up. It feels a bit like they’re nickel-and-diming for something that should really be standard, you know? Overall, I love the platform, but that part could definitely be improved!

### "Gumlet best affordable alternative to Vimeo "

December 15, 2024

4.0

Overall very pleased with my purchase. It’s nice to have active support via live chat, this is a luxury I’m not used to having at the other platforms.

Pros

Pricing! I know this sounds simple but coming from Vimeo with all the bells and whistles, having a solution that comes very close in features richness but at a affordable price was a necessary step for a small organisation that like to keep offering enterprise quality.

Cons

To be fair not much I did not like, sure there are some features missing. I hope to see the channel feature revamped to a “Vimeo OTT” the current solution is very lacking.

We were searching for a video hosting service as an alternative to Vimeo and we tried gumlet. As today we are happy with the service and we get an easy migration from Vimeo.

Pros

### "Fantastic Video DRM Site"

November 25, 2024

5.0

Gumlet has been good in terms of their video DRM capabilities in terms of our experience. We majorly use their platform for the purpose of protecting our premium videos through Widevine DRM encryption. Their primary purpose which is to maintain our videos from access and theft has been working quite well. The video DRM implementation in terms of the process was not very complex. Their software abstracts the troublesome aspects of DRM key lifecycle management and cross-platform integration (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) into the background which enabled us to skip a lot of development efforts. The integration with our existing video delivery pipeline worked well, although we had to make some support clarifications during the first configuration stage. However, there are some challenges. The CNAME charging policy seems to be unreasonable in case of what should be a basic feature. Even more disturbing is the fact that the pratice of removing videos from our library does not trigger immediate revision in our storage costs. Such a disconnect between costs seems to owe to the difficulty in efficient management of our repository of content, especially when we needed to do so under tight budgets. The platform’s uptime has been mostly stable, and all implemented devices have had fairly good DRM functionality. While the DRM features are working as intended, I believe that the documentation for those features might be expanded in scope, for instance, on how to address specific playback issues across multiple devices.

Pros

Working with the video security functions provided by Gumlet, I have found the use of Widevine DRM integration to be very simple. One of the things I like the most is how they have made this intricate task of video content encryption much easier. It is far easier to protect video material across multiple platforms and devices through Gumlet’s consolidates solution that endorses Widevine, PlayReady, and FairPlay than struggling with several different DRM technologies individually. The actual worth originates in the manner in which they have integrated the encryption procedure into their video workflow. After installing the policies of DRM, it simply becomes a “set and forget” Construction. Every video gets encrypted according to the parameters you set forth and the rest, including the key management, is done automatically. Our team has saved a lot of time and effort, which was formerly wasted on manual handling of the encryption processes.

Cons

Without an ounce of doubt, the most disheartening and the most challenging aspect of the platform has to be their CNAME charging policy. Having to pay extra for something as simple as custom domain support comes off as quite strange because other media services and CDNs offer this as part of their core offerings. It feels as if this pricing policy is creating some sort of great wall of china around what should have been a core feature. What is worse is their adoption of a costing policy for video storage, how it calculates the storage cost for videos in particular on removals, is rather dispendious. Whenever you touch your library videos, it is self explanatory that you would want to update your metric of storage immediately, and that is all this software lacks, the delay. To put it simply, there is a period where you are inhibiting space you are not utilizing and there laximunity provided by the software obliterates that space. This is even more dangerous when you are actively pursuing a lot of media into your software and trying to manage the storage costs effeciently. The combination of extra payment for CNAME and an alteration of the storage updating system does make the budgeting side of things difficult for businesses trying to be cost neutral in regards to their media hosting fees.

### "Awesome alternative to Vimeo "

November 26, 2025

5.0

Onboarding has been very smooth, customer support very quick to reply through the online chat, uploading videos without any issue and player easy to integrate and loads perfectly.

Pros

Video player UI fits perfectly into a modern website, videos load fast and customers overall love the experience. It's also very intuitive in the backend and while the cost does start to add up if you need features like DRM in general the entry point is pretty fair and it offers many types of upgrade paths (beyond plan upgrades) that don't feel so steep depending on the features you need.

Cons

DRM only available on Business plans so it's one of the few features that does require a bit of a steep upgrade if you need it from the get-go.

### "A Game-Changing Solution for Video Streaming and Optimization"

February 8, 2025

5.0

Gumlet Video has proven to be a robust and efficient video streaming solution that effectively addresses common streaming challenges while offering significant cost savings .

Pros

I transitioned from Vimeo seeking better optimization and cost efficiency, and Gumlet has delivered impressively. The platform's AI-powered optimization achieves up to 30% bandwidth savings without compromising video quality. The global CDN delivery ensures consistent streaming quality .Also, the security features are comprehensive, including SOC2 and GDPR compliance, along with 128-bit storage encryption. The analytics suite provides detailed insights into viewer engagement and performance metrics, which has been invaluable for our decision-making process.

Cons

The learning curve is steeper compared to more user-friendly platforms like Vimeo. The technical documentation, while comprehensive, can be overwhelming for newcomers. The platform lacks some basic social integration features, which might be important for some users. The pricing structure, though potentially more cost-effective, requires careful analysis to understand the best fit for specific use cases.

### "Reliable video hosting with top-notch security"

November 26, 2024

5.0

A lot of the websites my web design agency creates feature fullscreen background videos, which can use up massive amounts of bandwidth, especially on high-traffic sites. Gumlet takes care of this by hosting and streaming the videos efficiently. Plus, it protects your media and is fully GDPR compliant, which is a huge priority for my agency.

Pros

What I love most about Gumlet, and the main reason I chose it, is its DRM encryption. I run a web design agency that offers video editing as part of our services. A while back, I discovered that another website was using a video we had created for one of our clients. Another designer had downloaded the video straight from my client’s site and used it for their own project without permission. To make matters worse, they didn’t even bother renaming the file, which made it extremely obvious the video had been stolen. My client sent them a cease-and-desist letter, and they took it down right away, but the experience left me worried. How many other designers could be using our videos without us knowing? That’s why Gumlet has been a game changer for me. With its DRM encryption, I can rest easy knowing our videos are protected and can’t be downloaded or used by others. It’s peace of mind.

Cons

Honestly, nothing at all. The dashboard is super intuitive, and if you ever have questions or need help with something, the support team is always quick to respond.

It's been a game changer. My audience is happy, so I'm happy. No complaints about infinite loops when buffering video, and I feel safe with my videos being protection with the additional Digital Rights Management (DRM) layer of security.

Pros

What I like the most about Gumlet is that it allows so much customization in order to better serve your audience, and at the same time protect your video content from the ones with less good intentions.

Cons

I have to be totally honest here. So far there's nothing I can say I dislike about Gumlet. It serves all my currents needs well and beyond.

I've switched from Youtube (Unlisted) to Gumlet, mainly because of speed limitations at YT and DRM security.

Very positive as it is a clean system, easy to use and great for hosting videos

Pros

very professional support, great dashboard, and very easy to use

Cons

nothing really, maybe the only thing is that it is difficult to understand exactly how many GB are used when uploading your videos and if that counts for towards your limits

### "A Central Repository for All Your Video Needs!"

Overall very successful experience. We really love what Gumlet has to offer and expect it to really work well with our community when it comes to content creation and creating paywalls to access premium videos.

Pros

Gumlet offers an intuitive interface that makes it easy to navigate through. I was able to make clicks through the various areas and knew how to upload videos, create channels, adjust settings. The functionality and feature set is unmatched so it helps with our use case with course management.

Cons

The limits on subscribers. I would have loved to have no cap on it but I understand why they set the limit they do.

### "I found Gumlet. The DRM technology and the digital watermark will protect my online courses!"

January 2, 2025

5.0

I made a test. I upload a video sample to my Gumlet dashboard. After I turned on the DRM protection and the dynamic watermark. After I tried many popular screenrecorder recording the played video sample. And guess what? The whole screen was grey colour. So this technology work!!! I am happy now.

Pros

The DRM (Digital Rights Management) and the dynamic watermarking.

Cons

The Gumlet has a YouTube tutorial channel, although the last helpful content uploaded in 2023
