It's a way better alternative to Vimeo or the like! We tried many video platforms before and now plan to stick with it, because the team also keeps shipping updates and improvements each month. Pros The video player comes with a React Native embed out of the box: this is great for developers! Also the design of the player is great and both loading time and video quality are amazing. Cons There are minor UI weaknesses, e.g. navigation logic and orientation. But one gets used to it quickly. In playlists there is a weird behavior that mutes the next video. And the subtitles should have a bit more padding to the left and right — typography lover speaking here. That are the only things that I have noticed so far. It doesn't hold me back on quality of video. Instead, it uses minutes, which I find to be more useful in the long run. At the end of videos, I don't have to wonder if it's going to be referred to as something out of my network or out of my purview. The call to action is very, very helpful. The drag and drop, the live stream, and just the overall experience has been wonderful. Pros I like the fact that I can control my media, my live streams, my library and folders, with privacy features that are unmatched. Cons I can't think of a thing. Having been able to purchase a lifetime deal, it has proven to be a valuable long-term investment that will save my business money. The implementation was smooth and with their recent upgrade to the backend experience, it is now easier to find all of the controls you need. The company is also responsive and actively working to improving the service which is promising. Pros As a small business owner, I needed a dependable solution to store videos that showcase the quality of our work. While exploring various options, I discovered Gumlet. Up to now, it has proven to be a reliable platform for video storage and serves as a welcome alternative to services like YouTube or Vimeo. Gumlet lets you choose your preferred video processing resolution, offers fast playback speeds, and includes DRM to keep your videos secure. I also really appreciated the recent redesign of the dashboard, which has made the interface much cleaner and more intuitive. Cons It would be beneficial to have additional customization options for the channel's homepage, as well as a wider range of themes to choose from. I find the current low limit for live streaming somewhat disappointing. Additionally, it's unfortunate that a yearly Apple Fairplay subscription is required for DRM. In short, it's a very complete tool and an excellent addition to my workflow. Pros File uploads are incredibly fast, and playback is always smooth, without any stuttering or annoying loading times. Another feature I really appreciate is the player's customization: I can hide the progress bar, place the logo wherever I want, disable all controls, or even enable a download button when needed. It also offers powerful extra features like adding CTAs, creating playlists, and tailoring the experience to each project.
